Elliot squeezed Olivia's hand lightly when his last award category came up. He had won two already, but this was the most prestigious one and he was up against Steven Spielberg for this one too. "The nominees are..." The speaker started. Olivia leaned over to Elliot and kissed the corner of his mouth. He wrapped his arm around her and held her close, smiling when they both popped up on the front screen when they called his name for the nominees.
Hugh Laurie was presenting the award. "And, the Golden Globe goes to..." He opened the envelope and smiled before leaning forward towards the envelope. "Elliot Stabler The Letter."
Elliot stood up with Olivia, both grinning ear to ear. Olivia chuckled when Elliot hugged her tight and kissed her lightly before walking up to the stage to accept the award. She clapped for him before sitting back down in her seat. He took the Golden Globe from Hugh Laurie, shaking his hand, before standing in front of the microphone while looking down at the award. "Well, I made my last two acceptance speeches short, so I'll make up for it now and they better not play the music for me to walk off." The crowd laughed before he spoke again. "I would like to thank the cast and crew that helped bring this movie together. We truly were one big family like many crews are. Uh, I'd like to thank my kids for putting up with my craziness for being stressed, Daniel, Nick, and Katie." He looked over at Olivia and grinned pointing at her. "But, that girl right there, I owe her so much more than a thank you. She is amazing and gorgeous and all mine." He wagged his eyebrows, making everyone chuckle. "Thanks to the academy for the award. I love that people can enjoy this film as much as I do. Thank you." Everyone clapped as he walked off the stage.
"I told you that you would win." Olivia smiled when Elliot came back out to sit with her. The show had just ended and people were hanging around, just enjoying talking to everyone.
"Yes, you did. Thank you for believing in me." Elliot grinned before wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her softly. Olivia smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck. "So, do you want to get out of here?"
Olivia nodded. "Yeah, I can't wait to get you alone." She smirked and leaned towards his ear. "Saying I'm gorgeous on national television is a major turn on."
Elliot's eyes widened. "Well, let's get to the hotel then. I can figure out exactly how turned on it makes you." Olivia giggled before they started walking out of the building. Once they finally got out and onto the red carpet, Olivia took out her phone and saw that John had called her.
"Did John call you at all?" Olivia asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"Yeah, he did." Elliot frowned looking at his phone. "Call him and put it on speaker."
Olivia hit the call button and switched her phone to speaker phone as they waited for John to pick up. "Liv, thank God you called. I don't mean to ruin your night, but we kind of had an incident."
"You're on speaker with Elliot and I. What's the problem?" Olivia asked furrowing her eyebrows.
"Uh... well... Kathy tried to break into Katie's room." John sighed, making both Elliot and Olivia panic. "Katie is a little shaken up, but other than that she is fine. The police came by and arrested Kathy for attempted kidnapping and breaking into private property."
Olivia teared up a little bit. "How shaken up is Katie?"
John paused. "She is shaking and she won't let go of Daniel, Nick, or I."
"We are coming home." Elliot stated matter of factly, Olivia nodding with him.
"Guys, you are enjoying a night together. C'mon, have fun." John said trying to make them less worried.
Olivia shook her head. "The show is done. We are coming home."
Olivia and Elliot burst through the door to find the family in the living room. "Katie!"
"Mommy!" Katie cried before running to Olivia and clinging to her tightly when she picked her up. Elliot cupped the back of her head and looked her over, checking to see if she had any marks on her. "I'm scared."
"So are we, sweetie." Elliot breathed before kissing her forehead. He turned and hugged his sons tightly when they walked up to him. He turned to John. "How did this happen?"
John pointed outside. "She hopped the fence where that big bush is. I've already called a guy to fix it."
Elliot nodded once. "Good. This cannot happen again." He ran a hand down his face and noticed the time. "Why don't you head to bed? Olivia and I can get the kids ready for the night."
"Okay. Goodnight, sir." John nodded before heading off to his room.
"You guys can stay in our room tonight." Elliot said to his kids, absentmindedly calling his room his and Olivia's room. He knew the kids knew they were together, but he never really talked about it with them. Olivia mostly talked to them about it.
Daniel and Nick nodded before heading upstairs to change and go into their father's room. Elliot turned to Olivia and saw that Katie was resting on Olivia shoulder as Olivia whispered softly to her. "I'll go change quick and then help Katie change so you can get out of that dress."
"Okay." Olivia nodded before brushing back Katie's hair. She looked up at Elliot and smiled lightly when he kissed her before they both headed upstairs.
Elliot closed the door to his bedroom before crawling into his bed where Olivia and Katie were. The boys had made their own beds on the floor with blankets and pillows. "Okay, the doors are locked, the police are looking for Kathy, we are safe. Let's watch some TV and get to sleep." He smiled when he saw Katie was already fast asleep in Olivia's arms.
The rest of them watched TV, falling asleep one by one until Elliot thought he was the only one awake. He turned off the TV and was just about to lay down when he heard Daniel. "Dad?"
"Yeah?" Elliot responded.
"The thing with you and Olivia... is it just a fling or are you being serious about this?" Daniel asked, the tone of his voice indicating that he was uncomfortable with the topic, but wanting to talk about it. He knew Olivia was more than just another nanny to his kids. "I just don't want her to be another one of those girls that you have one or two dates with and then call it quits."
Elliot saw his son's figure laying on the floor from the moon shining through the window and sighed. "Olivia is not another fling for me, Daniel." He scratched his jaw. "I promise you that. She is too important to me and to you guys for her to be a fling."
Daniel nodded staring up at the ceiling, being happy with his father's answer. "Okay, I just don't want another nanny. No one is going to be the same as Olivia." He rolled onto his side and sighed. "Night Dad."
"Night." Elliot said before thinking over his son's words. He was right. He didn't want to mess this up with Olivia. They had already teetered on the edge of that and it was because he compared her to Kathy. He couldn't do that anymore. Olivia was so much better than Kathy, and he knew that. Pressing his lips to Olivia's forehead, he laid down and wrapped his arms around her, closing his eyes and going to sleep.
