Yo! Yo! Yo! To my American readers, Happy 4th! Anyways, This past week has been so busy, I'm surprised I had time to write. After my debut, my parents randomly agreed to take a road trip to Memphis, Tennessee to attend my cousin's graduation. He's a doctor now. :) Then after our weekend there, my parents then randomly agreed to meet my uncle at a beach resort in Florida to celebrate both my mom and his birthdays and to just relax. I got to drive for a bit on the way to both places and back home. And when I wasn't driving or sleeping, I was writing for you guys and for my Chuck readers. So... Busy week. Also, starting this Monday, I start summer classes for my college so I've got to squeeze in writing since I'll be so busy but I'm sure I can do it. :) Besides, I just got a new laptop so I'll be able to crank out those chapters faster. Anyway, here's a new chapter but first, your reviews!
Beeimahalfblood: I couldn't help it. Aside from Chuck and Sarah, they are my OTP. I can't not show some progress or I would go crazy. LOL!
PR3DAT0RS: I was actually referencing the movie Castaway starring Tom Hanks so... That might be what you're thinking of? And as of the tips, Thanks! They're all great but they make me wonder... Do you go camping a lot or have you just been stuck on an island... LOL!
bun (Guest): There are a lot of things that I have planned that I need to squeeze in before I move this story along...
kecaswell2001: Maybe... Maybe not... There are plenty of ways I can go with this story. You'll just have to wait and see which path I take. ;)
Compliment Giver: Yeah... I haven't really seen too many of these stories on the archive (maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough) but I wanted to do something similar to the original relationship but not have them as children and completely put them in a whole new setting. Hopefully I'm getting their personalities somewhat correct to keep with that aspect. :)
storywriter678: It's funny you should mention Lord of the Flies because in all my years of middle school and high school, I've dealt with so many references to the book but never actually read it for myself. And as for the update, is this soon enough? ;)
Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Percy Jackson and the Olympians... Obviously since I am in no way, shape, or form Rick Riordan.
"Good Morning America, I'm Robin Roberts and I'm here with George Stephanopoulos with an update on the 747 that crashed over the Atlantic just three days ago. Searchers have located the wreck after days of searching and take a look at this… the plane appears to be missing its tail end. As of last night, crews have been dispatched to the site to look for any sign of the rest of the aircraft. So far, three hundred and ninety-eight of the four hundred passengers' bodies have been found and identified. It's such a shame to lose so many lives. But crews are still on the lookout for the last two missing, a man in his early twenties by the name Percy Jackson, and, get this, daughter of Frederick and Athena Chase, Annabeth Chase."
"Really?"
"Yes," Robin continued. "She was apparently going on a trip to Greece for some time away when tragedy struck."
"Such a shame," George commented with a shake of his head. "Just yesterday, we sat down with the parents of the two young adults and got a statement from both of them." The scene cut to a pre-recorded one of a woman with wavy dark brown hair and a man with with salt and pepper hair. Beside them, another couple of around the same age sat, the woman with curly brown hair and startling grey eyes, and the man with a blond crop cut. George sat opposite of them.
"So," he asked. "What was going through your mind when you heard about the crash?"
Athena, the woman with the grey eyes spoke up. "Devastated, obviously. I was out on a business trip in Australia at the time but the moment word got out, I was on a flight back home."
"Sally?" the reported prompted. The other woman looked up, startled out of her daze.
"I feel terrible," she said, her voice wavering. "I was the one who convinced him to go on the trip because he'd been working himself so hard with school. He recently graduated so I thought a trip to Greece was suitable. I only hope that he's okay." The man with the salt and pepper hair wrapped an arm around the woman and placed a light kiss on her temple.
"It's been a hard time," he said. "We, as parents, hope that wherever our children are, they're together and they're surviving." The scene cut back to the live feed of the all the news reporters seated at the table, Times Square showing in the background.
"It has been a hard time," Robin stated emphatically. "We only hope for the best for these families."

Annabeth stood back and admired their work. It had taken them all day yesterday to finish the giant S.O.S. and it was already dark so they couldn't really see the fruits of their labor. But now, in the morning daylight, she could see just how big their little project was. If this didn't get someone's attention, then the large bonfires they'd decided to light every night would. Annabeth knew, if she knew anything about the media, and she did, quite a lot, actually, that at this point, the news of her and Percy missing would have circulated and her parents would have sent out search crews for them. They're bound to find something. They're bound to find them. She could feel Percy standing at the edge of the treeline, watching her, but she didn't turn around to acknowledge him. She knew he would come up to her eventually.
"It looks great," his voice said, right behind her. Annabeth simply nodded.
"It does." She turned to look at him, a small smile growing on her face. "Do you think they'll see it?" she asked.
He took a step forward so that they stood side by side. Looking over at her briefly then back out to their giant sign, he crossed his arms and nodded. "I know they will." Annabeth turned her head and watched the man beside her. "Have you eaten yet?" he asked out of nowhere. It sort of threw Annabeth off guard. Regaining her composure, she shook her head.
"No," she answered. "I had a sip of juice and came out here." Percy nodded.
"Come on," he said, taking her hand. Annabeth stared at the point of contact and wondered why her skin tingled slightly. He tugged at her arm and she followed him back to the plane.
When they got there, Percy released her hand and suddenly, she felt cold, well, at least her hand did. The black haired man motioned for her to go up the rope ladder and she obeyed, him right behind her. "What do we have left to eat?" Annabeth asked as she settled herself on top of Percy's bedroll. He went into the food cabinet and pulled out two trays of food.
"Just this," he replied. "We finished everything else."
"Everything..." Annabeth's brows furrowed. "There's no more food? How can there be no more food? There's enough food in there to last us the rest of the week!"
"Well, yeah," Percy nodded. "But at this point, it's probably gone bad. It's been sitting in a sweat locker for four days. It's bound to go bad." He handed her the tray and they peeled back the plastic. Annabeth gagged.
"Uh, yeah," she said, setting the tray away from her. "It has gone bad."
"What? It can't be that bad." Percy pulled back the plastic and sniffed. He gagged, too. "Yeah, it can be that bad." He tossed his tray so that it sat next to Annabeth's and leant back so that his weight rested on his hands. "I guess we're not eating breakfast." Despite the situation, Annabeth laughed.
"We can handle it," she said.
"Says you! Ms. I-only-eat-leaves-and-drink-water-everyday," Percy complained, nudging her slightly. At this point, Annabeth knew he was joking. The two of them had bonded quite a bit, joking about each other's quirks. "I am a growing boy. I need my protein."
"Sure you do, Seaweed Brain." Percy exhaled dramatically.
"The one time it happened!" Annabeth remembered it all too well. During one of their breaks in work, Percy opted for a swim in the ocean. Annabeth rolled her eyes at the notion but he had peeled his shirt off and ran into the waves, disappearing under the surf. When he finally emerged, he had seaweed sitting on his head. The sight was just too funny and Percy spazzed out trying to get it off, slipping and falling back into the surf. She hadn't let him live it down since.
"It was so funny though!"
"Whatever... And really? Seaweed Brain? Yeah, that's very creative," he rolled his eyes, sarcasm dipping off his words. "You think you're such a wise guy."
"No, I don't." Annabeth turned her head to look him in the eye. "I'm not a guy." Percy sat up and narrowed his eyes, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips.
"Fine," he said. "You're a Wise Girl." Annabeth raised an eyebrow.
"'Wise Girl?' That's seriously the best you can come up with?"
"Hey! No making fun!"
"You really do have seaweed in that skull of yours!"
"Ugh... Whatever." Annabeth pulled her most innocent smile and Percy rolled his eyes at her and crossed his arms over his chest. It was amazing to see how much they had grown over one laborious project. They had sent all of their time creating a system to get the work done quickly and efficiently. Annabeth realized that Percy, when he set his mind to something, he would go all out to make it the best. It was a quality that Annabeth admired.
They sat there together just staring out at the jungle, silently until Annabeth looked at Percy again. "I'm bored," she said. It was true. After all that work, just sitting in the plane doing nothing started to make Annabeth's ADHD kick in. She had to be moving around or she'll go crazy. Percy turned to face her and raised an eyebrow at her statement.
"What?"
"I'm bored. We've practically done everything we could to get attention and we're just sitting here doing nothing. I'm getting bored."
"Well, what do you want to do?"
Annabeth placed a finger on her chin and thought about it. They could go and look for food so they didn't starve to death or they could spend the day on the beach scouting for signs of a rescue team on the horizon. And as productive as those two sounded, Annabeth was too tired to continue doing work. But she wanted to do something. Suddenly, an idea formed in her head and she smiled. "Let's go back to the waterfall," she said.
"What?" Percy looked at her like she'd grown a third head.
"The waterfall," Annabeth repeated. "I wanna go swimming but I don't want to have to deal with all that sand at the beach. The waterfall is perfect."
Percy raised an eyebrow as if to say, Really? How am I not supposed to make fun of you for being an heiress when you say stuff like that?
"Oh, shut up." She stood up and moved toward the rope. "Well, are you coming?" she asked, dropping low so she could reach the blanket ladder. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw Percy bite his lower lip in hesitance before standing up and moving so he stood right behind her.
"I guess it would be irresponsible of me to let you wander off alone," he said. Annabeth smirked and made sure she had a firm grip of the makeshift ladder.
"Whatever gets you through the day, Seaweed Brain," she said before swinging her body over the ledge.

Percy followed the blonde heiress through the forest as she trekked the way to the waterfall oasis. As much grief as he's been giving her, he was truly excited to go back and take dip or two. And, seeing Annabeth in her underwear wasn't exactly a minus so, Percy was feeling pretty good. Once they broke the foliage, Annabeth began to strip, all pretenses of shyness or modesty be damned. Percy watched, unashamedly. It's not like he could do anything else. Whenever she did that, his brain seemed to shut off and melt.
Once she'd disappeared past the surface with a small splash, he, himself, stripped down to only his boxers and followed her into the cool water. When he finally came up for a breath, he saw that Annabeth was once again on her back, relaxing in the ripples that he was making. An idea forming in his mind, Percy pulled in a deep breath and dove beneath the surface once again. He swam toward the blonde and coming up close to her, he took her ankles in his hand and yanked downwards, dragging her idle body into the water. When they both broke the surface once more, Percy was laughing and Annabeth was fuming. He held her in his arms for support as she was thrashing all of her limbs. When she finally calmed down, hey grey eyes narrowed to slits as she glared intensly at him.
"That wasn't funny, Seaweed Brain."
"It was to me," he laughed. "And the fact that you used that horrendous nickname means that you're not actually mad."
Annabeth simply continued her hardened glare at him. Now, he wasn't exactly sure if she was really mad at him or not. He began to feel the prickles of panic settle in his system as she broke out of his hold and swam away to the edge of the oasis.
"Annabeth wait," he called, paddling his way closer to her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean that please don't be mad. I was just trying to have a little fun." She climbed out of the water and adjusted her 'bikini' before stepping under the spray of the falls. All Percy could manage was to sit back and watch as the blonde unintentionally tortured him by practically showering in front of him. He was trying so hard not to focus on her body and his eyes rested on her face. That was when he caught it. The ghost of a smile sitting on her lips. Percy put two and two together; she was playing him. The whole thing had been a ruse to get him all worked up.
Climbing out of the water, Percy made his way over to the heiress and crossed his arms over his chest. "I know you're not really mad," he called out to her. "I can see that little smirk on your face. You might as well give it up." Annabeth turned to face him and cocked an eyebrow. Stepping out of the spray she walked up close to him.
"Now, what gave you the impression that I was mad?" she asked slyly. Her proximity to him caused Percy's breath to hitch and hold. "Sure I was peeved when you nearly drowned me, but then I figured you were just having a little fun." Percy resisted the urge to bite his lip. If this whole seductress role was part of her comeback, she was doing a hell of a job at it. "And it seems that I got you back with my impromptu shower so... I guess we can call it even." With that, Annabeth winked, turned, and walked away, leaving Percy alone by the water.
When he returned to their airplane shelter, Annabeth had already changed into a new set of clothes and was digging through their now even more limited food supply. "We'll have to scrap everything in here," she groaned without looking up. Percy leaned against the wall and just watched his blonde companion as she tried to salvage any of the food trays. Percy knew that they'd have to scavenge for their food from this point on and so far, it didn't look like there was plenty of animals to spare them any meat.
"At least the drinks are still good," he offered, trying to remain sanguine about their new, unfortunate circumstance. Annabeth, however, didn't seem too pleased about his attempt at raising their spirits.
"Yeah, well, that's not exactly going to cut it." She straightened her spine and looked him in the eyes. Percy knew that survival Annabeth had kicked in and until they solved this latest crisis, she'd be all business, which meant he needed to be all business, too, if he wanted to stay on her good side.
"Right..." he trailed. "Well, how about I go scavenge for some food, maybe a couple of fruits or like, a monkey, and meet you at the beach."
"Why the beach?"
"You should probably go check to see if there is any sign of a rescue team nearby and make sure that if they do get within range, they see you," he reasoned. While that was a partial reason to why he wanted her at the beach, the real reason was that he knew the beached calmed him down and got him to relax and hoped that it would have the same effect on her.
"Wouldn't you think it'd be better if we searched for food together."
"It would, if we wanted to be efficient, but right now, we need to play it safe. That means that one of us needs to be in plain sight where they could be found." Percy watched Annabeth's reaction. She looked like she wanted to protest but eventually decided against it.
"Fine," she acquiesced. "We'll try it your way. But I want you at the beach at sunset. Whether or not you find food."
"Yes, Mom."
And there you have it folks. Another chapter done! How are you liking the Percabeth build up? Not too slow and not too fast I hope. I want to get it just right. And you guys are the judge of that so please fill me in on what you think. I love to read reviews, especially the well thought out ones. They really do inspire me to write.
