Olivia smiled feeling Elliot's arms around her wind around her waist. "Well, hello trouble."

"What are you doing in here?" Elliot asked looking around her old room that she had vacated when she left the house.

"I'm debating what color to paint this room. If I'm going to stay here, I want this room to really be mine." Olivia said before turning in his arms, pecking his lips. "Maybe you could help me paint it."

Elliot smiled and held her closer to him. "Well, I'm all for helping you, but I don't want you staying in here." Olivia furrowed her eyebrows. "I already had John move your things into our room."

Olivia raised an eyebrow. "And, what makes you think that I would agree to this?" His eyes widened, making her chuckle into his chest. "I'm kidding. But, are you sure? Moving back in is one thing, moving into your room is another step."

"You stayed in there every night anyway when you were still living here. If you are giving me a second chance," Elliot started and caught the look Olivia was giving him, "okay, maybe more than a second chance, I want to show you that I'm committed. I'm not taking you for granted this time around."

"So, does that mean you'll let me renovate our room?" Olivia asked draping her arms over his shoulders, clasping her hands behind his neck.

Elliot chuckled. "You could renovate the whole house if you wanted, within an approved budget." He lifted her up and carried her down the hallway to their room. "Do you think we should see if the furniture is up to our standards?"

Olivia smiled at him, relaxing against his chest as he carried her bridal style. "How do we do that?"

"I think we can think of something." Elliot smirked, making Olivia drop her head back in laughter.

John walked into Elliot's office to find him looking over paperwork with Alex. "Sir, you wanted me to come in here?"

"Yes, close the door please. I need to tell you something, get your opinion." Elliot said standing up from his desk and walking around to sit on the edge of it.

"Do you want me to get rid of the cow?" John asked pointing to Alex. She grabbed his tie and tightened it quickly, making him choke before he could get a hold of her hands.

Elliot rolled his eyes. "Before you two kill each other on the honeymoon, I need you to live long enough for my plans to go through." He reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a small black box, popping it open for John to see. "I'm going to ask Ms. Benson to marry me."

"Oh my God!" Both John and Alex yelled at the same time. Elliot shushed them, leaning against the door to make sure Olivia didn't barge in to see what was wrong.

"Go ask her! Go ask her now!" John grinned going to open the door. He stopped when Elliot didn't move.

Alex stepped forward and looked at the ring. "Are you sure she is going to like it?"

Elliot grinned. "She had it in her stack of magazines on her nightstand with a post it on it saying, 'WANT!' This is it, John. I'm ready for this. I'm ready for her."

John hugged Elliot tightly. "You are growing up so fast! When are you going to ask her?"

"I don't know about that yet. It has to be perfect. We have dinner tonight with her family here. I'll figure something out, though. I would marry her tonight if I could." Elliot said with a smile before putting the ring back in his pocket. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to figure out a way to keep Sonya from getting to the cake before dessert." He left the room before John turned to Alex with a grin.

"What are you grinning for?" Alex seethed, crossing her arms over her chest.

John chuckled as he collected the dirty dishes from Elliot's lunch. "I'm just imagining your death at the wedding. They both say 'I do', kiss, then you can drop dead."

"Hi Daddy!" Olivia grinned greeting her father at the front door. "Did you find a spot for the car?"

"Yeah, but it's for two dollars a hour. So, let's make this meal snappy." Don said before he followed Olivia into the dining room where everybody was just sitting down.

Elliot pulled out Olivia's chair and let her sit down before kissing her head. He sat down next to her and laid his napkin in his lap. "Well, Sonya, Don, it's nice of you to join us for family dinner. The kids missed you two."

Daniel grinned when Nick spoke up. "Yeah, we really missed all learning all the different foods you can stuff into your pockets so people won't notice."

"Oh my God! Daddy!" Olivia laughed.

"What? Lobster doesn't come around everyday. Dead or alive, find a way to take it home." Don said raising his glass and down its contents in two large gulps. "So, I'm guessing things are back to how they were before?"

Olivia took Elliot's hand under the table. "Actually, things are progressing nicely. Elliot has decided to let me redecorate the house. He thinks it'll be a nice change for us. We can make this house our own with a new look."

Katie spoke up from her chair in between her father and Sonya. "Do we get to decorate my room?"

"Of course, we do! No room will go untouched." Olivia grinned at her before Elliot kissed her cheek.

Sonya nodded her head with a smile plastered on her face. "So, I'd assume that marriage would come shortly after that."

Elliot spit out the water he was drinking, muttering a quick apology as he tried to dry off everything he spat on. Olivia rubbed his back, trying to contain her chuckle. "Mom, we just got back together. We are going to take things at the pace we want. We have talked about this." She knew her mother was trying to tell her to get out of the relationship in her own special way, just like her father was doing. Throwing jabs at the weaknesses the relationship had in the past. "Could we discuss this later?"

Don put a hand on Sonya's shoulder, silencing her for the moment. "So, Elliot, do you plan on continuing to pay my daughter for her childcare services?"

"Yes, it will probably change when we get married. But, if things go south again, I want her to have money to support herself. God forbid that happen, but I want what's best for Olivia." Elliot said with a nod, resting his arm on the back of Olivia's chair.

"So, is this money just going to be for the kids, or are you going to pay her extra for more services?" Don asked narrowing his eyes.

Olivia's eyes widened. "Okay, that's it. Kids, can you please take your dinners into the kitchen and eat with John. Daddy and I need to talk to Grandma and Grandpa." The kids hurried out of the room, leaving the adults to themselves. "What has gotten into the two of you? I thought you would be happy about me getting back together with Elliot."

Don shook his head before Sonya spoke. "We wanted you two to be together before. But after everything that has happened, we think you deserve better."

"He won't commit to you. He wouldn't even call you Olivia in front of people until you left him." Don stated matter of factly, slamming his hand down on the table.

"Look, I get where you two are coming from. I have a daughter. If she was seeing somebody that pulled half the crap I have, I would've told her to forget about him." Elliot said trying to keep Olivia from being hurt further from her parents. "But, I love your daughter more than I've loved anyone. I made a mistake before. I am committing to her fully now. She comes first. I know I don't deserve her, but I can't help but love her."

Don stood up, tossing his napkin onto the table. "That love wont' get you far. Sonya, we're leaving." Sonya stood up and followed her husband out of obligation, taking his hand.

Olivia and Elliot followed them as well. "Daddy! Ma! Why can't you just be happy for me?"

"You are making a mistake being with him, Olivia. What has he proven to you? He can call you by name on television." Sonya questioned her, cupping her daughter's face in her hands. "We love you, but we cannot approve of this when we know this isn't going to last. If you need us, you know where we are." With that, both her parents walked out of the house, slamming the door behind them.

"How are you doing?" Elliot asked walking out onto the balcony. After putting the kids to bed and finishing a silent dinner, they had both isolated themselves into their room. Olivia had changed into sweats and a tang top before sitting on the brick wall wrapping around the balcony, resting her back against the side of the house.

Olivia shrugged her shoulders looking out over the backyard. "I feel like they disowned me until further notice." She looked at him when he straddled the wall in front of her wearing identical clothing to hers. "They are right in some aspects."

Elliot nodded his head, squeezing her calves gently. "I know." He took a moment to let her think before speaking. "You know everything I said tonight was true, don't you?"

Olivia looked at him in the eyes before nodding her head. "Yeah, I know you were. You wouldn't lie to them, especially in front of me." She sniffled before running a hand through her hair. "It's really messed up."

"No kidding. The rug was kind of pulled out from under us tonight." Elliot agreed.

"Tonight, you said something that I've been thinking about." Olivia started looking down at her fingernails. "When you and my father were talking about my pay for taking care of the kids, you said 'when we get married', not 'if we get married'." She pointed out. "How are you so sure about that?"

"Well," Elliot said before grabbing her hips and pulling her towards him so her legs were resting on his thighs. "I was hoping to pick out a good moment for us, and I realized that any moment would be good as long as it was with you." He reached into his sweatpants pocket and pulled out the tiny black box he had shown to John and Alex earlier. Olivia gasped and covered her mouth with her hands as her eyes filled up with tears. He chuckled seeing her reaction. "I don't ever want to lose you again. That idea doesn't just scare me; it makes me feel like my life would be gone, done, over and death was approaching. I can't tell you how much I love you because I'd grow old and gray before I could tell you everything. But, I would like to spend my life telling you little pieces everyday as your husband." He popped open the box to show the diamond ring glinting in the moonlight. "Would you be my wife, Olivia?"

Olivia let out a sob before nodding her head. "Yes!"
