And here you go for your reading pleasure. I know my writing has been fairly short for this story and I apologize. I've been really busy with things with college and all. I promise I'll try and get that quality back up. I have a pretty good story line lined up for this so hopefully, once it gets on track I'll get you better chapters.

Dawnwizard8010: LOL! I'll think about it! It's a great idea! Thanks for that!

Shuuwai: I laughed while writing that scene. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

AghiTron: Don't worry, I get what you're saying. And... the Minecraft reference? I get it. My cousins and brother play. I tried it for like a day but it never caught on with me. Eh... what can you do?

Smiles Burn In The Styx: I know I wrote those things and trust me... I have a plan. Athena always has a plan.

Nekotite: Let me tell you, my friend, the angst is a'coming. Grab your box of tissues because your feels will crash like waves.

muhammad shaaf (Guest): Leo will be coming in shortly. Give it some time. :)

Disclaimer: I do not own the characters of Percy Jackson and the Olympians... Obviously since I am in no way, shape, or form Rick Riordan.

"You know, I've always wondered why girls like The Notebook so much," Percy said. He was sitting with Annabeth, his fingers playing with the curls of her hair. Normally, the particular action would annoy her to no end but right at that moment, the fact that he was talking in the middle of the movie annoyed her more.

"You know, if you just watch and not talk, you might actually enjoy it," she chided.

He snorted. "Please, there are other things that I'm quite enjoying right now." Annabeth, figuring that she'd have to watch the rest of the movie without her boyfriend, turned to him with a raised eyebrow.

"And what would that be?" she asked.

"Well for one, your hair smells like lemons which I love. Two, you haven't yelled at me once for playing with your hair. And three, we're cuddled together on my couch. What else could a guy ask for?" The architect felt her features soften as her body relaxed back into her boyfriend's chest. It was things like that, when Percy appreciated the little things of their relationship, that made Annabeth fall in love with him even more, which is why she had been working hard on a secret side project to surprise him. It'd made her even busier on top of the four other projects she was currently working on, but the end result would be totally worth it.

"You're right," she said smugly. "I am pretty awesome." He kissed her temple, then began trailing his was down her cheek and finally to her lips. The movie completely forgotten at this point, Annabeth kissed back with an equal amount of passion and things got heated pretty quickly.

Annabeth knew they wouldn't take it too far. Percy was too much of a gentleman for that. So, they simply kissed (made out) until the credits began to roll through the screen, signaling the end of the movie. "So…" Percy breathed once they broke apart. "You spending the night tonight?" Annabeth shook her head and got up, straightening her clothes and grabbing her things.

"Not tonight," she replied. "I've got an early day tomorrow."

"Then I'll take you to dinner," he offered.

Annabeth shook her head. "I can't tomorrow. I've got a dinner meeting with a client."

"The next day?"

"Nope. Sorry. Meeting with the board."

"Well, when are you free?"

"I really don't know at this point, Percy." And it was true. Between her four projects, the company transferring over to her, and her little side project, Annabeth felt like she'd had barely enough time to breathe. "But, I know I'll see you for sure in two days for our meeting with Beckendorf. Alright?" She shrugged her coat on and walked over to him, still sitting on his couch. She gave him a light peck on the lips. Pulling back, she noticed the slight frown on his face. "What's wrong?" she asked.

He sighed. "I feel like I never see you anymore. I mean, this is the first time we've hung out in like, a month."

"What are you talking about? We saw each other last week."

"But that was for the habitat designs. It feels like every time we've met since we went to dinner at my parents' place was for something work related." Annabeth sat down beside him, taking his hands in hers.

"I know. Things are busy right now for me though with my projects and the transfer. I promise you that once the company is mine, I'll have more free time. I won't be taking on as many projects and I've got an entire board to help me run the company." She let go of one of his hands to lift his chin so they cold look at each other. "Just… Be patient with me. Okay?" He nodded sadly.

"Alright." They stood up and walked to his door. "I guess I'll see you in two days," he said.

Annabeth simply smiled and kissed him once more before heading down to the parking garage.

Percy sighed as he closed the door behind Annabeth. He hated that he never saw her. Sure he knew that she was a busy person. Of course she was a busy person. She was a senior architect at her mom's firm; a firm that she would be in charge of in less than a year. It's been six months since they were rescued from the island and it seemed that as time went on, they grew further and further apart.

Sure every time they were together they picked up right where they left off and there was never an awkward moment between them, but those times together have become so far and few in between that he felt like they were never going to move forward with their relationship.

Great, he thought. Now I sound desperate and needy. Shaking his head he went into his room to get ready for bed.

The next day, Percy went to work like always and continued the paperwork from the day before for the habitat. That was the only thing about his job that he could live without. Being dyslexic made things – especially things like paperwork – really hard for him. Luckily, he learned how to get over that but it still acted up every now and then. This happened to be one of those "every now and then" moments.

By noon, Percy had a headache and a sour mood. What he would give for a simple night in with Annabeth like the night before. Unfortunately, her schedule was packed and they wouldn't see each other for another day for their weekly meeting. Leaning back in his chair, rubbing his eyes, he tried to go back to the island, specifically the good moments of the island, the moments where he and Annabeth actually got along. A knock on the door jarred him from his thoughts. That's weird. I don't have any appointments today. He called for whoever was out there to come in and the person who came in was simply the icing on the cake of his shitty day.

"Drew?" he asked. "What are you doing here?" The heiress sat in the chair in front of his desk as though she'd done it many times before.

"Are you not happy to see me?" she asked.

"Um…"

"What am I asking? Of course you're happy to see me."

"Sure…" Percy shook his head. "I'm sorry, but really, why are you here?"

"Come on Percy," she purred. "I know that our little meeting last week has been burning a hole in your mind. I know it has for me."

"I'm sorry?"

"Oh come on! Now I know you're just playing hard to get." She stood up and walked around his desk to stand in front of him. "Admit it Percy. We had chemistry in Annabeth's office and we have it now, here in your office." Her hand came up and grabbed his tie as she played with it in a way that she must've thought was seductive.

He lifted a hand of his own and gently pushed hers away. "Speaking of Annabeth," he said. "We are dating. You know that right? So whatever you thought was 'chemistry' wasn't."

She sighed. "Percy, you can give up the charade. We both know Annabeth is too obsessed with work to keep up with any kind of social life. She probably wouldn't even notice if you and I started seeing each other."

"Uhh…"

"I mean, if you think about it, I'm offering fun and adventure. What is she offering? A spot on her waitlist? An appointment in her calendar?"

"Look, Drew," he said, standing up. "I appreciate your offer, I really do. But, uh, I think maybe you should leave. I've got a lot of things to do with the habitat. And besides, I'm happy with Annabeth. I know she's busy, but I am too. That's how life is when you live as an adult." He ushered her out of the room, grabbing her purse and putting it in her arms, and closed the door behind her. He leaned back on the door and sighed.

He continued doing paperwork but there was something that was bothering him. It wasn't there earlier but after Drew's visit, there was a nagging voice in the back of his head. That's when it hit him. Drew's words struck a note in Percy. He knew that she was only baiting him but he was starting to see the truth behind her words. Recently, he had been feeling like Annabeth was putting their relationship on the backburner. It was like he had two feet in and she only had one so it was like he was the only one taking care of three feet instead of two people taking care of four feet. And while he would never cheat on Annabeth, especially with Drew, he knew that he couldn't keep taking care of three feet all by himself. He wanted, no he needed, to know that Annabeth was committed to this relationship at the same level he was. And he was one hundred percent committed.

Annabeth showed up ten minutes before their scheduled time the next day. "Hey," she greeted as she dropped her things on his couch and went over to him to place a kiss on his lips. "How've you been?"

"Good. You?"

"So busy. I'm sure that if our bodies weren't programmed to automatically breathe, I'd have no time for that," she laughed. Percy laughed with her but it didn't quite come from his heart. Apparently, Annabeth noticed too.

"Percy, are you alright? Is everything okay?" she questioned, genuine concern in her features.

"I'm fine. Just not sure how you'll take this news."

Annabeth's smile dropped off her face. "What news?"

"Nothing important. But, Drew gave me a visit yesterday."

"What? What for?" He wasn't sure if he should tell Annabeth everything that Drew said because Annabeth was sitting on his lap and seemed very committed to their relationship so maybe he was only imagining things and it really was just bait by Drew.

"Nothing really. She was just trying to convince me that she and I had chemistry and that I should dump you for her," he said with a tone that made it obvious that it were the most ridiculous thing he'd ever heard. Though, he still felt Annabeth stiffen in his arms. "But I told her to shove off because I was happy with us. I doubt the message got through that thick skull of hers but, eh… what can you do?" Annabeth was still tense in his arms and hadn't said a thing. "Annabeth?"

"That bitch," she growled in a voice so low that Percy almost missed it.

"I'm sorry?"

"That bitch!" she said louder with more conviction, standing up from her perch on his lap. "I can't believe that she would do that? Actually, you know what? I can believe that she would do something like this. This is so typical Drew! She can't find a man herself so she has to go off poaching on taken guys! It's so infuriating! Why can't she take the hint that nobody likes her?" Annabeth had started ranting and pacing the floor of his office. She was so livid that he could practically see the steam coming off her head. At this point, Percy was glad he didn't mention the other thing that Drew had said. Eyeing the clock on his wall, he figured he had two minutes to calm Annabeth down before Beckendorf came in. Not a lot of time, but manageable. He stood up and placed his hands firmly on her arms.

"Annabeth," he tried, but she was still ranting. "Wise Girl!" he exclaimed after another failed attempt of getting her to stop talking. "Calm down!" She definitely stopped talking but now she was glaring at him and he knew he said the wrong thing. "Look, you're missing the point here."

"And what's that?" she asked, skeptical and still angry.

"That I turned her down immediately and that I told you about it. I could have easily kept her visit a secret but you put your trust in me and I intend to keep it. You don't have to worry about her because I'm yours one hundred percent. You don't have any reason to doubt that." Do I? he wanted to ask her, but held his tongue. His speech seemed to have calmed her down significantly and he didn't want to rile her up again, especially with Beckendorf coming in a minute. He placed a chaste kiss on her lips and looked into her storm grey eyes.

"Alright fine. But we're not done talking about this." She kissed him once more and gave a shy smile. "I love you, Percy."

"I love you, too."

And just then, Beckendorf knocked on the door and the two separated, ready to talk business.

And there you have it. Again, sorry that its short but it's taking a while to set this up the way I want it. If you've read my previous story, You're Gone and I'm Unbroken, then you probably know that I plan my chapter endings and write until I get there. So... Yeah.

Keep sending me scenes and suggestions!
