Hello everyone, Rina Aria is back once again! It was still quite early to announce a new chapter but whatever, I really wanted to publish this chapter very much since it was my attempt on comedy! Afterwards, Milla and Jude walked back to the place where they had left their friends behind. Leia was still laughing as Jun had dropped on the ground with black cloud hovering on his pitiful state. Milla and Jude almost felt sorry for the poor guy on bracing the pure torture Leia would have him gotten into, note the key word there is almost.
"Ah, Jude, Milla! Where did you disappear? You should have stayed!" Leia shouted energetically, contrast to Jun depressing aura. There is no need to be a genius to know that Leia had done something to Jun that was better left unknown.
"Thank you for the offer Leia. Anyway, where is Mai? Could it be that she wasn't back yet?" Milla said declining the offer politely out of mercy for Jun. She wondered what could make Mai take so long. She remembered that they only asked for shaved ice in the nearest stand.
"Ah, she came back just before you reached us. She said that she needed to go to another place for our order since the first one was already out of ice. So she would take more time than needed and since she was at it, she would do some shopping for our lunch. Well, what happened when she came was more interesting… if you two want to know I would loooove to explain it in detail," Leia explained before she looked at Jun who had gulped as a mischievous smirk apparent on her face.
"You two please help me!" Jun begged as he looked up to find Jude looked down on him, literally speaking, with a sigh and something along the line 'that's your own damn fault'.
"Leia, you shouldn't tease him too much," Milla said out of good nature when she knew what Leia had done when Mai was back. Although if presented by chance, she would gladly take Leia's side on the matter. After all, this was just a hypothetical speaking.
"Milla-san… you are really kind…" Jun said as he sobbed comically and Milla must do her best to not laugh. She didn't have the heart to tell the poor guy that she was speaking hypothetically.
"Since Milla said so, Leia tone it down…" Jude said nonchalantly to Leia who looked shocked.
"What?! Now I'm the bad guy here?!" she protested as she pumped her fist to the ground. She wasn't accepting the fact that not just Milla but Jude had betrayed her as well.
"Jude, Milla… you really are my savior!" Jun shouted as he tackled both Jude and Milla.
The pair who didn't expect this outcome was tackled to the ground. Jude was actually fine with it since Jun used this gesture pretty often as he was often exagerate things. But compared to Jude who was used to it, Milla was completely surprised by the gesture.
But, there was one more problem about it… no, one more big problem…
When the three landed on the sand, Jude naturally protested to Jun. Jun simply brushed it off saying he was simply very blessed to have good friends by his side. Milla who had noticed the position had her face turned into all sort of color.
At first her face was pale when she saw what Jun's hand had touched. Her face quickly turned into red when the thought was processed completely inside her brain. Either he meant it or not was another case, but Jun had touched her chest.
Apparently it was enough to make Milla snap.
"GET OFF OF ME YOU BASTARD!" Milla shouted as she kicked Jun off from her. Leia who watched pulled up a board and placed it near the camera as it said 'Don't try this at home folks!'
Jun was startled by the sudden attack and was repelled few meters away from his initial position. Milla quickly got on her feet with her hands covering her chest shouting, "PERVERTS! I HATE YOU!"
Leia who had heard Milla's outburst and reaction realized what had happened and after she threw the board away, she glared dagger to Jun. Jude who simply realized what kind of mistake Jun had made simply stepped aside. Women knew how to deal with this case perfectly well and for the sake of his life he didn't want to be in Jun's side.
Jun who had recovered from the deadly kick was up from his sleeping position and was sitting on the sand as he said, "W-wha-?! Why you kicked me?"
Milla and Leia glared at the man with a glare that could kill an army of thousands, if look could kill. Milla was still covering her chest as she lowly said, "What is your last word, Suzaku Jun-san?"
"Milla… there is no need to give this pervert mercy… how about we fed him to the shark already?" Leia added as she took a step forward closer to Jun. As she did so, somehow, there was a watermelon on her hand. And it looked it would hurt to got hit by it.
"G-girls… I-I don't really understand b-but…" Jun tried to retaliate since he really didn't understand what had happened at the first place.
Milla glared to Jun with the coldest glare she ever used. She crackled her knuckle in response of Jun's words. She had a murderous aura as she said, "No, 'but'."
Jun looked at Jude as he pleaded for mercy. Jude simply shook his head and expressionlessly said, "Although it is for such a short time, it's nice knowing you."
"Devil! Traitor!" Jun shouted in desperation.
"Say Milla do you think smashing watermelon sounded nice?" Leia said as she secured the watermelon with her hands firmly that one would wonder how it wasn't destroyed already.
"Of course Leia, let's do this," Milla said with a bright smile that it was scary.
"Girl that is a freaking watermelon you have there!" Jun tried to protest as he struggled to stand up after Milla kicked him for few meters away.
Jude took out a microphone from out of nowhere before he said, [Err… for any parents watching this, please made sure to secure the view of your kids and please don't try this at home without the aid of professional… repeating…]
Jun who heard the absurd announcement quickly protested, "Jude, instead of that could you just help me instead?!"
Jude pulled down the microphone and turned to see Jun before he flashed a regretful look. Before Jun managed to mutter something, he asked, "Jun, is there anything you want me to tell your family? I promise I will let them know about your brave deed…"
"Well… then tell my Old Man to not work too much and for my mother I love her… Wait, that's not what you are supposed to do! I'm still alive here!" Jun shouted when he noticed how Jude had no intention to help him.
"Oh yeah I need to call the shrine for funeral-"
"I'M STILL ALIVE!"
"Not for so long~" Leia sung with a big smile that looked wrong compared to her murderous aura.
Jun muttered an 'Oh crap!' and run for it. Leia and Milla who saw the basketball athlete ran away quickly shouted 'Don't run!' and gave a chase for him in full speed. They ran so fast that they sent a comical gust of wind to whomever they passed.
Jude should admit that Jun is a fast runner, but Leia is very fast and Milla is impossibly fast so they would quickly catch up with him. Jude merely pitied Jun who used to be his friend…
"I'M NOT DEAD!" Jun shouted as he interrupted Jude's train of thought as he made a run from both his beautifully-scary Grim Reaper.
… Who somehow heard Jude's thought.
Around that time, Mai who brought her shopping and the shaved ice reached their place. She looked tired as she said, "I'm sorry for the wait!" though no one but Jude heard this greeting as the other were too busy on their… tag game.
Jude turned around and was face-to-face with Mai and said, "Oh welcome back Mai-san. You come at a good timing."
Mai naturally tilted her head to the side and wordlessly asked Jude what he had meant by 'good timing'. Jude simply chuckled and pointed at how Jun was chased around by Milla and Leia who were closing the gaps between them. Mai became even more confused at this and simply let out an, 'Eh?'
Few seconds later, Milla who had managed to pass Jun tackled him so he ended up falling down to the sands face first. Milla smirked as she saw this as a chance and shouted, "Leia it's our chance for All-Out Attack!" (1)
"Let's do this! I'm leaving this to you Milla!" Leia shouted as she passed (?) the watermelon to Milla who had been waiting for the chance to deliver (?) the punishment.
Milla smiled (almost) devilishly as she flashed a malicious gaze to Jun who was crouching across her. She then jumped highly to take Leia's pass and as she slammed the top of the watermelon as she shouted, "Take this!"
Jun gulped as he tried to dodge it but since it was so fast, he couldn't do that and had to take the hit from the watermelon clean on his face as the watermelon was smashed into pieces. He dropped to the sandy ground of the beach due to the impact as the red fluid of the watermelon splashed on his face and body.
Milla and Leia high fived each other with innocent giggle contrary to Jun's suffering. Leia even shouted, "Milla, we beat the evil demon lord!"
"Yeah, it's the angel victory," Milla replied with an obviously satisfied smile as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. The two evil demon lady looked at the poor human that had faced their wrath with satisfied smirks on their face.
"Is it okay?" Mai asked in with obviously worried tone as she looked pitifully at Jun who had completely knocked out.
Jude who had watched the whole ordeal simply shrugged his shoulders. Actually, he was in the side of Leia and Milla this time, since he didn't want to get the same 'punishment' like Jun. To state it out he coldly said, "Yeah, it's okay there is nothing wrong about this. Jun started this whole ordeal after all. He must take his punishment accordingly… no matter how unfair it is. You shouldn't think about it too much Mai-san. You know that there is a saying that something better left unknown right?"
Jun who had heard Jude's cold way of backing out from this quickly rose from his position, though his face was full of red fluids and he felt that his head was killing him. He let out a fake tear as he shouted, "Jude, you are the worst! Help me out here please, stop these two!"
Jude simply turned away and made Jun had shocked face as he got knocked out again after he got thrown with a parasol that Leia managed to get somehow. Mai who hadn't known what had happened looked at her two friend who had giggled scarily innocent and then looked at Jude.
"Can you tell me what had happened here, Jude-san?" Mai asked bashfully as she begged Jude to explain to her what had happened.
"If you want the full detail, ask those two… they would explain it better than me…" Jude said as he looked at Milla and Leia who had approached the two with Leia waved her hands to their direction.
"Mai-chan, you really took your time. Do you get my Blue Hawaii?" Leia said as she dashed to Mai who was holding a plastic bag filled with shaved ice.
"How about my Strawberry flavored one?" Milla asked as well as she clapped her hands in anticipation. After all, it's the first time she tasted shaved ice though she never told anyone.
Mai was slightly hesitant but gave them their respected shaved ice. She then turned to Jude and said, "Err... Jude-san, here you go the mixed flavor…"
Jude gladly took the shaved ice from Mai as he ate it silently. Mai looked at Jun who was still lying on the sand and then to Milla and Leia as she asked, "About Jun…"
"Just leave him be," Leia said shortly without even waiting Mai to finish her sentence.
"Yeah, just leave him be," Milla seconded Leia's decision as she enjoyed her shaved ice.
Mai felt a sense of shudder hearing how Milla and Leia replied her unfinished question. She took her own shaved ice and ate it as she wondered just what had happened until Jun managed to make both Milla and Leia mad. Even Jude didn't want to have any connection with it.
She decided to help Jun as she stepped closer. She looked at the badly injured guy and poked his face using the straw of the shaved ice as she said, "Jun… are you okay?"
"No…" Jun answered weakly as he remained motionless.
Mai looked at Jun with downed expression and said, "Could I be of assistance to you then? I could talk to the shopkeeper around to lend me some first aid kit…"
Jun smiled sheepishly at the kind offer. He was then reminded of the horror that he had been put through and said, "Mai-chan… remind me to not make Milla mad okay?"
Mai tilted her head to the side innocently. She responded with a simple, "Why?"
"Because I just saw my passed grandmother waving to me thanks to her."
Away from the friendly outing of Milla's group with Jude's duo, rested another pair of couple who was watching a certain member of the group from afar. The woman smiled in satisfied manner as she putted down her binocular and said, "Well, she looked like she enjoyed this."
Her partner looked to the woman and said, "It's a bad hobby to snoop around your own sister."
The woman simply laughed and then with bubbly tone she said, "Oh come on, you come with me as well. I was just worried since it's the first time she went to the beach with someone she could call as 'friend'. Those gathering with snobs from rich family weren't her thing."
The man sighed in defeat since he could see the difference of his so-called sister from the last time and right now. She looked very different, and the 'she' right now certainly was better and more suited with her status as teenager. She might be an heir but she shouldn't act like one just yet.
He then looked at his soon-to-be-wife and said, "I was surprised none of them noticed it yet. Well, they never asked and never go to visit so it is natural I guess. Anyway Muzét, are you a dog? Your tail moved around you knows…"
The woman, Muzét turned around to see her soon-to-be-husband and said, "They all had good background so there is no worry and Gaius, I'm still human. This tail was only one of my inventions. It looked good, isn't it? It even had the ability to read my mood to match the movement." before she putted up her binocular in front of her eyes, her so-called tail wagging around in delight.
The man, Gaius simply sighed and putted up his hands over his forehead as he said, "You really watch too much anime,aren't you?"
Muzét didn't listen on the lecture as she said, "Well, so she befriended Leia Rolando, the tennis athlete, Ibara Mai… oh, the heir of that Ibara family then… that beaten up boy was Suzaku Jun…"
"Muzét, that boy isn't dead yet… so don't write him off as one yet," Gaius interrupted in the middle of Muzét's sentence, making the latter laugh in amusement.
"I didn't do such a thing~" Muzét replied with a melodious laughter that was infectious. Gaius simply smiled at how his soon-to-be-wife reacted.
"Well, that boy earned his lesson to not mess with anyone from Maxwell family I guess. He is a basketball athlete, the best one in this prefecture… though he looked normal," Gaius said with a small smile as he looked at the screen of his portable computer that looked like it was out from the modern sci-fi movie, courtesy of Muzét. The one he had was the prototype and was in the test stage, and just by chance, he needed to do it. He sometimes thought that being the husband of an inventor was quite hard, in a lot of way.
Muzét putted down her binocular and sat down beside Gaius as she watched him working on her gadget. She made the prototype to be easy to use even for Gaius, renowned as a director that was actually bad with anything with electricity.
"And the last is Jude Mathis… I had read his life history yesterday, isn't he something?" Gaius commented as he knew that Muzét was looking on the screen.
"Graduated as a doctor from the famous university in America at the young age of 15… He is also winner of all sort of martial arts competition since 10 years old. He even beat my Milla in the school entrance exam since his score is almost perfect. He looked aloof in his photo from his time in university but… I guess he changed as well," Muzét commented as she smiled at the thought. After all, not only Jude that had changed after entering High School but also Milla did.
"Muzét, Milla isn't yours. But on the subject… by the name Mathis… he came from that Mathis right?" Gaius said with a hint of recognition though his tone remained flat.
"She is my sister so she is mine and yeah, he came from that Mathis family. I guess blood is indeed thicker than water. Well, we could expect him to be a good friend for Milla with that kind of background," Muzét stated with a relaxed tone as she leaned her head to Gaius shoulder.
"What if Father changed his mind?" Gaius asked with a neutral tone. But it was obvious that he dreaded the moment that Alexander Maxwell changed his mind about Milla's school matter.
"We would deal with it when the time comes. I really hoped this kind of moment lasted long though…" Muzét commented as she clenched her fist on the top of her thigh. She had done a lot of convincing on her father to let Milla led a normal life, she didn't want it to end soon.
"That's why we are here… to protect her, isn't it?" Gaius said as he gave a reassuring pat on the top of Muzét's head.
Muzét nodded as she then pressed a small communication device in her ears. She stoically said, "How was it on your end?"
There was static for a while but it was soon replaced by an emotionless voice as it said, "The assassin is successfully eliminated."
Hello again everyon! What do you think of this chapter? I was talking a lot about Jude and Milla's nature of relationship the past two chapters so I guess it would be nice to have a change of pace from now and then. I really enjoy writing the 'torture' session that looked like it came from an anime. It really is fun seeing Jun got beaten up pretty badly like that...
I had no explanation on how come Jun managed to live after being smashed by watermelon straight on the head... but let it slide for now.
Anyway, below is some note regarding this chapter. And I remember I had told you all something about Gaius and Muzét introduction right? Below is their characters detail including what kind of change I made for them from the main story game! For anyone who looked forward to character introduction, the next one in line is our not so bright but cheerful Leia Rolando! Look forward to it okay? Main Character Introduction:
1. Gaius (Erston) Outway: I kind of changed Gaius name in this story. I know that in the game his real name is Erston, and his King name is Gaius, but in this story I merely swapped it. So his real name is Gaius, and his director name is Erston. Gaius is well, director of Outway Corporation, lame name I know, which worked in technological stuff. But (not so) surprisingly enough, he was bad at electronic himself that Muzét created a specially modified gadget just for him.
Gaius is a loving elder brother towards Milla and Mira, his sister-in-law, and also his actual sister Carla (who hadn't made an appearance just yet). He was a quiet individual that sometimes people wonder how come he became Muzét Maxwell fiancé who were a lot louder than him ever. They were prone to do public display of affection as well.
Gaius age is 31 years old. His blood type is A. He is born at 29 July and is a Leo. He is the Head Director of Outway Corporation that he got from his deceased father at the age of 25. His favorite colors are Black and Red. He never cared about personal stuff though he has a hobby to collect long swords. Due to the fact he was often targeted by position-hungry folks, he is a professional at the art of swords and… cleaning traitor, for the lack of better words for it. He was better at it than Milla as he was used to it more than the teenager ever was.
2. Muzét Maxwell (soon-to-be) Outway: Muzét is… well, Muzét. She is a researcher and is one of developers in Outway Corporation. She was often seen as a wacky scientist who was prone to have outburst once a week. A very doting sister towards both her little sister even if both were clearly disturbed by it. She used to be the Scion of Maxwell Corporation until she found out that she wasn't cut to be one after she saw her love at mechanic. And because of lineage reason, the responsibility was passed to Milla the 2nd daughter.
Muzét is Gaius fiancé, no matter how wrong it sounded. Some people who knew about Muzét personality were surprised to find that she was the first one from the siblings to have a marriage partner. At first the news almost made Muzét become the Scion again but Gaius and Milla stopped it somehow, and so Milla remained as the Scion. It didn't mean that Muzét lost all her power as the member of Maxwell family as she still had considerable power although hers didn't match Milla's influence.
Muzét age is 21 years old. Her blood type is O. She is born at 10 February and is an Aquarius. She is the lead developer in Outway Corporation. Muzét finished her study at the age of 18 and so considered to be smarter than Milla. Muzét craftiness at mechanic was most of the reason why she managed to finish early compared to Milla who was more rounded. Her favorite flower is Narcissus and her favorite colors are Blue and Green.
