Once again seems to be me apologizing for not updating this at all for years! I hope that you like the new direction I plan on going with this fic!

Dark Spector was looming around in his lair; despite everything he had tried doing against the Space Rangers, they have seemed to block every attempt at him destroying them. He was looking through all of Demios' and Celestra's old files. Demios had at one point had started to create something to combat the Rangers that would make them literally almost fight carbon copies of themselves. Would have been a fantastic plan if he hadn't fallen for one of the Rangers and found his humanity. It was impressive all the dossiers he had managed to collect on each individual ranger; it was time to put this new plan into action. It would be one thing if he had them fight the rangers, but it would be another thing to discredit them for being actual beings of good, and make their image evil.

He began twisting his evil magics; creating this creatures will prove even more invaluable then he had hoped. The only Ranger who he didn't have a complete dossier on was the Silver Ranger. It would be incomplete, but he knew that if he put something into the magic that let these evil Rangers absorb the memories and abilities of whatever Ranger they manage to get their hands on. "It is done," he said and his creations began to come to life.

Space

Karone found herself awake again and she looked towards her sleeping boyfriend. She was thinking about what him and their friends have been saying and just try and open up more. She decided that she wasn't just going to be by herself like she had been doing as of lately. She placed a hand on his shoulder and gently woke him up. "Hey," he mumbled groggily, "What's going on?" he opened his eyes and looked at her. She couldn't help but let out a laugh at his bemused face.

"Couldn't sleep," she said.

"Thinking too much?" he asked, resting his head on one of his hands.

"Kind of," she admitted, as she sidled closer to Zhane. He reached his other hand out and she grasped it gently.

"What can I do to help?" he asked, rubbing the back of her knuckles gently.

"You already are," she said as she found herself laying down next to him and getting comfortable. Before she got too comfortable she looked up at him. "Dark Spector hasn't sent anyone after us or Earth or anywhere else recently," that was the other big thing looming over all the Rangers was where were all of the monsters?

"I know," he said, cuddling closer to her. "But…we have a strong team," he said, "Whatever they throw at us we can handle it," he had to admit that he was worried about that as well.

"I know Zhane," she murmured. She let out a yawn and closed her eyes, "Thanks for listening," she mumbled, closing her eyes. Zhane was glad to see that she was finally getting some rest. He closed his eyes as well and they both fell asleep.

Meanwhile Andros was looking over everything he had done as Demios. There were so many things he had done while he was an evil overlord. Despite the good he was doing, it didn't erase all of the bad that he did. He shook his head and got off his cot and stretched. Despite everything they had been through, they were slowly returning back to normal. He decided that he needed to get up and go for a walk. His communicator started to go off and he acknowledged it, "This is Andros,"

"Hey it's Ashley," he smiled as he heard her voice.

"What's up?" he asked.

"Just been thinking about what happened," she sighed, "I know that it's going to take time for everyone to be back to some sense of normalcy, but I can't but feel that everyone is holding back things that are actually thinking about," Andros knew that feeling was going to slowly dissipate, especially since they were only a few hours in a school he spent his entire childhood in.

"They'll be ok," he promised.

"I know, but…Cassie and I have always talked about things, but ever since that day it's like she hasn't been there…or Carlos or TJ for that matter," she sighed. "Just hate feeling so helpless,"

"Well the team has one big thing that I didn't have when that school was running," he said, "they have us and each other," he let out sigh, "I never had that…best thing we can do until they're ready is just be there,"

"Thanks Andros…I actually feel like I can help them now…well I have to go to bed…have a good night,"

"Good night,"

Meanwhile Cassie was having a restless night of sleep; nightmares of her fighting for her life…it was terrifying to think about sleep. She wanted to reach out to her friends but couldn't seem to get the words out that she was actually frightened of being a ranger at the moment. She wanted to talk with Ashley, but she couldn't find the words and talking with TJ or Carlos was out of the question because she thought they had it worse by fighting each other. She let out a sigh, and then turned to her sketch book. She knew that she could turn to her art when she was thinking things too much. She would find a way to open up to her friends eventually.

TJ and Carlos hadn't been doing much better with everything. They were hardly ever in the same room with each other. They knew that neither one of them had a malicious or evil thought towards each other, but still it was hard not to be a little jumpy around each other. The Blue Ranger thought about the school and let out a sigh. This experience despite how bad and terrifying it had been opened up his eyes a bit as a Ranger. To continue this battle against Dark Spector's forces, they needed to become a team again. And all this avoiding and light things they had been forcing just wasn't cutting it.

He decided that in the morning he would bring up with Karone, Zhane, and Andros and get the rest of the team together and get things all out in the open.

Outside the city limits of Angel Grove

Seven beings were approaching the town of Angel Grove. They knew their objectives; it was time for them to have a little fun. Gone were their normal images of pure evil, but were replaced as illusions of the Astro Rangers….
