Heres a really short continuation of last chapter. Sorry about the long delay. Hope there's still some of you that are still reading this story.
Draco quietly but quickly entered his and Hermione's bedroom with a glass of water mixed with the antidote in hand. She was sprawled out across her bed. Draco could see her face peaking through strands of her chocolate colored hair. It was much paler than he was use to seeing it. He walked over and placed is hand on her forehead. He expected it to be to be warm since almost the entire time she's been sick she's had a fever. But she wasn't. Her skin felt ice cold. Draco instantly panicked.
"Hermione!" He shouted as he shook her. "Please wake up. Please." His voice began to go flat as he tried to muffle a sob.
"Malfoy. What's wrong?" Hermione said as she slowly fluttered her eyes open.
"Thank God!" Draco exclaimed pulling her into a hug. "Your skin was so cold. I was scared that you were..."
"Dead." She said finishing the sentence that Draco could not. "I think there is a very high possibility that I am going to be soon. I can feel the life draining out of me." She continued, her voice becoming hoarse. "Though being around you always makes me feel a bit better. But do you think I'm dying?"
"No, no babe. You're not going to die." Draco said as he sat on the edge of her bed. "Here. I brought you some water. You need to stay hydrated." Hermione took the glass and slowly began to sip the water.
"I want you to drink that whole glass. Okay, beautiful?" Hermione nodded in understanding and then finished the glass.
"Will you lay with me?" She asked in a quiet voice.
"Of course." Draco replied laying down and pulling Hermione as close to him as he could. He couldn't believe how close he came to losing her and it was all because of his father. He didn't care what consequences that came along with saving her. He had to do it. She was his whole world now. He wanted to tell her. He knew he'd never have a shot if he didn't admit how he felt.
"Hey Granger."
"Huh?" Hermione responded in a barely audible and sluggish tone.
"I love you."
"I love you too."
