Sorry for taking so long to post this one. I couldn't figure out how to start it. This one takes place during the ride to school, and a bit of the beginning of the school day.
If you've noticed, I did take this fic out of the crossover section, and into the 'VicTORious' section alone. I didn't add the Tori/Jade second pairing because they aren't the focus. I figured since we won't see them as much as I'm trying for Freddie/Cat, I wouldn't add them in as a pairing.
I know this is a long time coming, but to the reviewer who pointed out that Cat lives with her Nona by the time this fic started, and not with her parents, I do plan on putting that into this fic. I didn't to it before simply because I forgot about Jade helping Cat move in with her Nona during the episode 'Star-Spangled Tori'. I believe that was the episode anyway. If not, feel free to tell me.
And to the guest reviewer, we I believe you call yourself, who doesn't like the Tori/Jade lesbian pairing: I'm sorry, but I'm a Jori shipper at heart, and I hope that that doesn't prevent you from reading this.
Anyway, here's the new chapter.
No POV
Walking out into the parking lot, Freddie stops when he sees Cat pulling up to the front of the apartment complex. A little surprised at the timing, he walks towards the passenger side and gets in, giving Cat a 'hello' and a quick one-armed hug.
"Did you just get here?" He asks as she pulls away, heading towards the exit of the parking lot, and towards the school.
"No, I've been here for a minute or two." She answers as she pulls out, stopping for traffic. "I thought it'd be easier to pick you up at the door instead of parking and waiting for you to find me." She says as she pulls into the highway once traffic clears enough for her to go.
"Oh, cool." Freddie says, giving her a smile. "So, how are the classes usually like at Hollywood Arts?" He asks, glancing at her face as she drives.
"Well, I'd say the same as any other school, but based on how Tori acted on her first day, it's not like any other school." She says with a smile as she drives down the highway.
The drive lasts about ten minutes, both teens talking and enjoying each other's company as the red-head drives to Hollywood Arts. As they pull into the school parking lot, Freddie is a little shocked to see how many cars are already in the parking lot for a Monday.
"What's with the surprised face?" Cat asks, closing the driver's side door after getting her bag from the backseat.
"Not used to this many cars so early before school." He admits, grabbing his bag and closing the passenger door so cat can lock the doors. "At Ridgeway, the only cars at school when I got there were the janitor's, the faculty, and a few students." He says, following Cat into the school. "Do the teacher's park here too?" He asks when they get to the Asphalt Cafe.
"Not usually. There's a faculty parking lot behind the school. I think Sikowitz, Lane, and Principle Helen are the only ones, other than Festus, who park here." Cat answers, thanking Freddie when he opens the door and steps aside, letting Cat enter first.
"Why just them?" He asks, stopping momentarily when he sees the locker designs, before remembering that he already saw them and still has to design his own.
"Sikowitz just does it because he wants to. Lane because his office is on this side I guess." Cat starts, leading him to his locker, which is a few down from hers. "Principle Helen does it because, like Sikowitz, and Festus does it because of the Grub Truck being in the Asphalt Cafe, and he likes to keep an eye on it." She says, going to her locker and opening it, getting her morning books.
"And who is Festus again?" Freddie asks, putting his afternoon books and notebooks away, closing his locker before turning to face Cat.
"He sells the food at the Grub Truck." Cat explains, closing her locker. "What's your first class?" She asks, shifting her bag.
"Science." He says, checking his schedule.
"Oh, have fun." Cat says with a smile, giving Freddie a quick hug. "I have to go. My costume design class is in the basement this semester and it takes a while to get there. See you in Sikowitz's." She says, rushing off as the warning bell rings.
"Okay." Freddie calls after her, heading in the opposite direction where his science class is. Getting to the class a few minutes later, he takes a seat near Tori and Jade, who are sitting in the back of the class, whispering to each other. "Morning girls." He says, taking a seat in a nearby table to Tori, slightly afraid to sit by Jade.
"Hey." "Morning Freddie." Jade and Tori say, the former with a disinterested shrug of her shoulders, the latter with a warm smile. "How good are you at science?" Jade asks as Freddie takes out the science book and his notebook.
"Pretty good, I guess. Why?" Freddie asks as he opens the notebook to the first blank page and sets a pen and pencil beside it.
"Because Tori sucks at science and I will force you to help us." Jade answers, a smirk on her face as she ignores her girlfriend's offended 'Jade!' at the first part of the answer.
"You can't force someone to help." Tori says shortly after Jade finishes. "So, how do you like the school so far?" She asks, hoping to change the subject.
"It's good. Still getting used to the locker designs and how different it is from my old school." Freddie says, turning to face both girls better.
"Good morning class." The science teacher, Mr. Klugh, says as he walks in.
Turning back to the front of the class, Freddie starts to pay attention, not wanting to miss anything. Throughout the class, he takes notes on an upcoming project and what they'll be studying in class, some of which he already knows from being in an advanced class at his old school.
"Okay. Now, I would like all of you to form groups of three and get started on the project." Mr. Klugh says with ten minutes left in class, letting the planning start.
"Benson, get over here." Jade says, putting her science book in her messenger bag, leaving her notebook open the the page with the information needed for the project.
"Will it kill you to ask, not demand?" Tori asks, amused more than offended with her girlfriend's actions.
"Not worth the risk." Jade says, earning a small laugh from Tori as Freddie moves his stuff and a chair to sit across from Tori and Jade.
Odd way to end, I know. I hope I did okay with this chapter.
The name of the science teacher, Mr. Klugh, is the name of a teacher I had in school. He was one of my favorite teachers because every Monday, we would watch a recorded episode of either Mythbusters, Animal Planet's The Most Extreme, or that one show from either Animal Planet or Discovery Channel where they made two mechanical animals based off of stats of the real-life counterparts and made computer generated versions of them to battle each other. He also gave us a short quiz based off of what was on the show. I was never allowed to take part since I always watched the episodes when they aired. Random fact, sorry.
If you've never seen any of the shows, I recommend them. They're good in my opinion. And if anyone knows the name of the third show, let me know please. I appreciate it.
Next chapter jumps to Sikowitz's class. There will be talk of what happened, but I want a chapter with Freddie experiencing Sikowitz for the first time, which didn't happen in the crossover episode since Sikowitz mainly talked to Jade, Beck, and Spencer in that episode from the party.
Hopefully, next chapter won't take as long.
Blessed Be.
