This is the last chapter of 'A New Beginning - A Freddie And Cat Story'. This one has a time jump, this one starting on the last day of senior year.
If I do a sequel, we'll see Carly and Sam again. I didn't add them into this because I didn't think of a way to re-introduce them.
Thank you for the reviews, follows, and favorites. I hope I did this story justice.
Disclaimer: For the last time for this fic, I do not own 'VicTORious' or any characters or places in this fic. I own the plot, and the OC Miranda.
No POV
It's been months since Robbie was last seen. The relationships have improved greatly since everything happened.
As the months went by, Miranda has become the eight member of the group, passing the 'initiation' during the group date that day. The first hour of the date consisted of everyone, Cat included, questioning Miranda, the same question asked multiple times by the whole group in a manner of ways, and some random ones, everyone wanting to figure out how she handled everything and each person.
Much to Andre's happiness, Miranda passed with flying colors by everyone.
Tomorrow is the day everyone was looking forward to, but never wanted to happen because they knew the chances of seeing everyone again was slim.
Graduation day.
"I wish tomorrow was simply the last day of the school year, not your high school lives." Sikowitz says, fifteen minutes before the bell rings to end the class, and the school day itself.
"I know." Cat says, agreeing with the balding teacher, sounding close to tears.
"I look forward to watching all of you tomorrow evening, in your caps and gowns, getting ready for your new lives, outside of Hollywood Arts." Sikowitz says, smiling at the students in front of him.
"We can still visit though, right? I mean, you're not just our teacher. You're our friend." Tori says, earning nods of agreement from the rest of the gang, and some of the shruggers.
"Of course you can." Sikowitz says with a smile. "You are always welcome in this school, and my house, whenever you wish." He says, his tone sorrowful.
Until class ends, everyone talks to each other about the past, and the possibilities of the future. With five minutes left, Sikowitz dismisses everyone, excluding Tori and the others, to talk one last time.
"I am so glad to have known all of you." Sikowitz says, a gentle smile on his face. "You have become the best students I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and teaching." He says, taking a step off the stage and standing in front of the group of seven.
"You're the best teacher any of us have ever had." Jade says, showing a rare sign of gentleness. "No matter what any of us go through after tomorrow, you'll always be a part of us." She says, giving him a hug.
"Thank you, Jade. You are one of the best students I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. All of you are." Sikowitz tells them, sending them a soothing smile. "What are all of your plans until tomorrow?" He asks, not wanting to dwell on the sorrow of possibly not seeing them again.
"Dinner. Mom and dad are throwing a graduation dinner for all of us tonight. And there's a small party going on at the house before graduation." Tori says, a small smile forming on her face. "You should come. I know you'd be welcome." She says, hoping he says yes.
"I don't think that would be a good idea." Sikowitz says, smiling at her. "I appreciate it, but it just doesn't seem like a good idea for your teacher to be there for a high school graduation party."
"Trust me, you'd be more than welcome." Jade says, placing her right arm around Tori's shoulder.
"You will be. Please." Tori says, the others nodding in agreement.
"I'll try, since I see none of you are interested in backing down." Sikowitz says, smiling.
A few hours later, after the half-day of school ended, everyone meets at the Vega's house to go to the dinner planned for everyone, Sikowitz arriving in his van.
"Hello, Mr. Sikowitz. Tori told me you were coming." David Vega said as he opened the door for the teacher.
"Please, call me Sikowitz. I never cared for the 'Mr.'." Sikowitz said as he walked in after David moved aside for him. "What are the plans for dinner?" He asks, giving the small group of students he has come to consider his family.
"We're going to Maestro's. We just need an extra driver, if you're able to." David says, taking a seat beside Sikowtiz on the couch.
"Of course. Who all am I taking?" Sikowitz asks, smiling at everyone.
"Well, Tori and Jade are riding with Holly, Trina, Beck, and I." David says, taking a seat beside his wife on the opposite couch. "The only other ones who need a ride are André, Miranda, Freddie, and Cat." He says, hugging Holly close.
"Gladly. It'll be fun." Sikowitz says with a smile. "May I ask how Beck will be fitting in with all of you?" He asks, knowing that they have a car, but it's not big enough to fit the Canadian as well as the Vega's and Jade.
"Trina got an SUV when she graduated last year." David says, smiling at his eldest.
"Ah, understood." Sikowitz says with a smile. "Do you guys have any coconuts?" He asks, serious.
"No?" Holly answers, not knowing about Sikowitz's near obession with coconut milk.
"No matter. I brought my own." Sikowitz says, taking a coconut out of nowhere, blue bendy straw already in the coconut.
"Um, okay?" David says, sharing a confused look with his wife.
"Don't worry about it." Tori says from Jade's lap, from beside Sikowitz on the couch. "You get used to it." She says, shrugging her shoulders.
"They give him visions." Cat says from Sikowitz's other side, leaning close to Freddie.
"Visions?" Holly asks, her confusion gaining.
"Oh yeah. You heard right." Trina says from the kitchen, she and Beck getting bottles of water for everyone.
"When do we leave?" André asks, going through the small bowl of pretzels in seconds. "What?" He asks when everyone stares at him.
"In about a half hour." Tori answers her best friend, laughing.
"Good." André says. "You guys need more snacks." He tells the Vega parents.
"Excuse me?" Holly asks, leaning towards the musician slightly.
"Never mind." André says, waving his arms in faux surrender.
"I think you made him pee himself." Miranda says, fighting laughter at her boyfriend's reaction.
"Go Mrs. Vega." Jade says, not bothering to hide her laughter.
Twenty minutes later, everyone piles into Sikowitz's van and Trina's SUV, making their way towards Maestro's.
"Hello, welcome to Maestro's. How many?" The waitress asks as the Vega parents lead the group into the fancy restaurant.
"Ten plus one." David says, in arm with Holly.
"Uh, okay." The waitress, Jessica, says. "Right this way." She says, leading them to the middle group of tables. "Would you like anything to drink?" She asks as André and Beck push the tables together to make one big table for everyone.
"Water." Everyone answers as they take their seats, the couples sticking together with Sikowitz beside Tori.
"I'll be right back with your drinks." Jessica says as she hands everyone a menu.
After that, the night goes well, each couple enjoying each other's company, Sikowitz just enjoying being there with the people with him.
"Can you excuse us for a minute?" Freddie asks as he holds Cat's hand.
"Sure." David says, giving the Seattle national a partially confused look.
"Thanks." Freddie says, guiding Cat near where the waiters go in and out of the kitchen.
"What's wrong?" Cat asks when they stop, seeing the worried look in Freddie's eyes.
"Nothing. Just thinking about something." Freddie says, smiling at Cat. "I have a question for you." He says, his right hand going into his pocket.
"Of course." Cat says, smiling at Freddie.
"Okay." Freddie says, his hand coming out of his pocket in a loose fist. "Well, you see." He says, getting down on one knee and opening his fist, revealing an engagement ring. "Will you marry me?" He says, nervous but serious.
"OH MY GOD! YES!" Cat yells, jumping down into Freddie's arms, kissing him.
"I love you." Freddie says, standing up and putting the ring on Cat's left ring finger.
"I love you too." Cat whispers, kissing him again.
"Here's to our new beginning." Freddie says, hugging his now fiancé.
This is the end of this fic. As I said, there might be a sequel, but I don't know if I will or not yet.
Thank you for reading. I look forward to your reviews on this last chapter. I know there wasn't a lot of Cat/Freddie moments in this chapter, but I hope the surprise at the end made up for it.
See you all next time.
Blessed Be.
