I think I have had you wait long enough, 4 months, yeah something like that. Anyways onto the story!

Chapter 22

When I thought back on all the dinners I had previously had at Hinata's house, I had to wonder if they thought I was really that stupid as to not notice the tension going on at the table. It also didn't help that Neji was also here.

Neji looked like he didn't want to be here, which is understandable because I am almost certain his red headed boyfriend is sitting and waiting for him somewhere.

Hinata's family dinners were normally very welcoming and calming, Something I didn't have growing up but now, since this whole thing with Sasuke and I has been going on it seems like it is nothing but awkward. While i sat next to Hinata i managed to notice her dad eyeing me rather carefully almost as if he knew what was going on.

"So where is your friend this year Hinata, The Uchiha boy was it?" I felt a shiver go down my spine at the reminder that Hinata and Sasuke were that close of friends.

"he decided to spend thanksgiving with his brother this year." She said while taking a forkful of food into her mouth. She finished her food before continuing "It's actually rather nice that they are getting along a lot better now." I watched as she kept her eyes on her food and hadn't dare once look at her father.

"That Sasuke is a nice boy. When will he finally settle down and get married? Isn't he alittle too old to still be single." my breathe caught in my throat as he said this. "If his father was still around I know he wouldn't want his son to be single right now." At this point I had to block out the rest of the conversation unless it some how involved me.

When the conversation was finally directed back at me, it was asking me where I worked. If I had any kids. How long I had lived here. And by far the worst one; do you plan to marry by daughter. To which I answered only time will tell. But I really doubt he liked the answer judging from the look I received.

Hinata and I decided to retire to the upstairs game room. She locked the door behind us. We started playing table tennis. "So are you sure you want to be with me?" she asked suddenly causing me to miss the ball.

"Where did that come from?" I asked softly looking down at the table

"Don't play dumb with me Naruto, and besides it was a simple question, that requires and simple and honest answer. now I will ask you again; Do you want to be with me?" she had put the paddle down

I wasn't sure how to answer this. Did she already know that sasuke and I were involved, she did have dinner with him the other night but I doubt he would have told her everything. Especially not what happened the last time he and I chilled. I could feel the heat rising to my face as I thought back to our intimate night together. "i don't want to ruin your relationship Hinata." I whispered quietly

"My relationship? Don't you mean our relationship?" she asked me moving to the couch and I followed but I sat at the furthest end from her

"No I mean yours. With Sasuke." I looked up to see her eyes wide with curiosity

"i'm pretty sure your bromance with Sasuke isn't going to ruin what we have together Naruto, unless things have changed. Have that changed?" I could hear the concern in her voice. I could almost hear the tears as well. I couldnt bare to look at her.

"i have feelings for him Hinata, i'm so sorry I didn't mean for it to happen, he is just so beautiful... not saying you aren't- god I would never say that, you are absolutely breath taking and deserve someone who is going to treat you like a queen not someone who tries to go behind your back and steal your best friend. Please forgive me. This was never my plan, I don't want to lose you Hinata Hyuuga, if this is the end of our dating relationship I don't want this to be the end of us I want this to be a beginning to a friendship, if you would allow me at least that much." I was staring down at these ugly dressy black shoes I forced myself to wear for this dinner. It was so quiet in the room- deadly silent. I just broke up with her technically, now i'm just waiting for her reaction.

"Wow" she whispered softly. I snuck a peak over to her and say her covering her mouth with her hand and her head was hung low.

"I'm so sor-" I started to say before I heard her snickering. "What? Are you laughing?"

"yes i'm laughing at you. I love that you are so worried about me while braking my heart, at least that would be the case if I hadn't already seen this coming" she said with a smirk.

"you saw this coming? For how long?" I asked slightly upset that she had already known.

"since I introduced you guys. I was just in denial when I noticed it. For one, you guys wouldn't let go of each other's hands, two; there was a sparkle in both of your eyes and three, you were quiet. As if you were calculating your next move, You haven't been quiet since I met you. And ever since that first day you two have more or less been attached at the hip. Im mad at myself for being blind for so long." She grabbed my hand and kissed it. "At least if i'm loosing you its to Sasuke. You better take care of him"

"You're just loosing a bad boyfriend, but hopefully gaining a good friend?" She smiled and we hugged.

"Hopefully a great friend. Now tell me how you plan to ask my 'Brother' out?" she giggled. That was a really good question, With everything we've done now I have to find the perfect way to officially make him mine.

Please forgive me I know what your thinking already... "Savvy why does it take you months to update?" Well the reason is is that my computer is stupid and cant hold a charge, so I had to finish this chapter before posting it. Hopefully I still can complete my goal and complete this story by new years. Good day all. (Nov.12.13)
