Chapter 25

Leslie woke up to silence. Something she'd hadn't had in almost two months. She bolted up right and saw that Caleb's crib was empty. "Kelly," She rubbed her face as she swung her legs around and stood up. She made her way out of the hallway and followed Kelly's voice down the stairs and into the nursery.

Kelly was changing Caleb's diaper and Leslie stayed out of sight. She was impressed at how well her best friend was doing with their baby. Not that she had expected any different but it was so sweet to see him get involved with the baby. He had no problem holding him and taking him for walks. He'd even change his diaper if he had to.

"I think Mommy's outside the door," He took Caleb into his arms, "What do you think buddy?" The one and a half month old just stared up at his father.

"How'd you know?" Shay stepped into the room laughing slowly as she saw what Caleb had been changed into. He was wearing a pair of jean shorts and an onsie that said 'Daddy's Little Man'

"I'd be surprised if you weren't. You wake up and panic when he wasn't there."

"At first, was he crying?"

"No but he was awake, I heard him whimper a little as I walked past. Figured we'd let you sleep."

"Well thank you." She kissed his cheek and then their son's forehead. "Now I think its breakfast time," She took Caleb and walked over to the rocking chair and sat down.

"I'll go and make us breakfast," Kelly left the room. He found it a little weird watching his best friend breast feed even if it was their son. Leslie knew and understood this so after the first time he left she didn't say anything.

"Were you a good boy for Daddy?" She asked Caleb as he sucked on her nipple. He ate for almost an hour before finally taking his mouth away.

"You defiantly have your Daddy's appetite," She laughed and began gently burping him. "There you go all better now,"

She soothed smiling as he settled into her arms. She stood and walked out of the room and into the kitchen. She saw pancakes on a plate and Kelly eating some. Putting Caleb in a rocking chair she sat down at the bar sat on a stool and loaded up her email.

"Kelly!" She exclaimed excitedly as she opened up an email from the station running the wedding contest, "We won, Matt and Gabby won the dream wedding and the honeymoon! There's a contact number and person to call to set up an appointment to talk about the details. I'm going to tell them right now!" She got up from the stool just save me some pancakes.

"Hey!" He exclaimed, stuffing the last pancake in his mouth, "I'll come too!"

"Gmalbgla," Javier babbled as he stood up using the coffee table for support he bounce dup and down on his legs before plopping back on the ground and crawling away.

"There getting so close to standing without support," Gabby mentioned to Matt as he looked briefly up from her laptop. It was the twins' birthday in a week and they were rushed on planning everything. They decided to have a small party with just close friends and family at their house and of course Laura offered to make the cake for the twins.

Currently Gabby was looking online for toys for the boy's birthday presents and also wedding dresses. She'd ordered some toys for the boys but was having more trouble finding a dress, something she found even more difficult as she just didn't really have he time to go dress shopping.

Hearing the doorbell ring Gabby stood to get it, "Hey guys," She smiled as she opened the door to see her best friends, "This is a pleasant surprise. Come on in."

"Hey," Shay hugged her and then took Caleb out of his car seat; "Say hi to Auntie Gabby," He waved her son's hand.

"Oh he looks more like Kelly every time I see him," She gushed, "You're just so cute," She tickled his tummy.

"Here," Shay handed him over, "Is Matt here? We have something tot ell you two."

"Yeah, he's in the family room with the kids," She turned and led them into said room, "What's up?"

"There was this contest on WMAG for a dream wedding contest and we entered the two of you. We put together a video of Violet and Diego, Eva and Laura and Antonio plus and lots of the guys from 51 all saying how you deserve to win, anyways you guys won!"

"What?" Gabby was shocked, "We won?"

"Uh-huh," She loaded up the email on her phone to show her and then to the page that listed the price information, "A dream wedding of up to seven thousand dollars and a two week honey room in Aruba.

Gabby was speechless she didn't know what to say so all she did was hug her, "Thank you!"

"You're very welcome," She smiled in return and then went to hug Matt.

"Thank you," He looked at both of them, "Thank you so much." He looked and saw Gabby was looking at Shay's IPad and typing out the numbers of the phone number. "Hey Violet, did you hear that?"

"Uh-huh," She nodded happily, "Can I still be the flower girl?"

"Yeah sure, " Matt didn't know how they'd work it so she could be one but he wanted her involved, "Maybe you can push Javier and Rafael in a stroller," He suggested out loud.

"In a straight line. I saw weddings on TV before…" She pouted.

"Hey, hey don't think like that," Matt told her, "Remember its not good to feel sorry for yourself."

"Hey," Leslie saw Javier stand up on his feet without holding onto anything, "Has he done that before?"

"No!" Matt shook his heads but before he could react Rafael fell down and began to cry, "It's okay buddy," Matt walked over to him and picked him up,

Ca?" He pointed to Caleb who was looking at him, "Ah!" He waved and then looked at his father when Caleb didn't wave back.

"Caleb's a little baby," Matt tried to explain, "He doesn't know all the things you do."

Rafael just looked back at Caleb with interest.

"Okay," Gabby finally finished on the phone, "They had a tentative date set for July 12th at St. Mark's Church and I said that was fine, the reception is at the convention centre downtown but other then that its pretty much up to us, we can go over today and pick up the invitations, we can tell them the names and address and they'll send the off. Part of the prize is one of the top wedding planners in the city.

"You okay with someone else planning our wedding? I'm okay with it but I thought you were really looking forward to it."

"I was, but now that we have so many things going on I've been so stressed about it. It wasn't fun anymore. Don' get me wrong I would have done it this way I can be as involved as I want to be which is nice.

"We need to go dress shopping!" Shay told her, "It's only five weeks away!"

"Maybe tomorrow, I'm sure Laura and Eva will want to come too."

"What about me?" Violet spoke up, "I can't see the dresses."

"You can still come if you want to sweetheart, we'll make sure to describe the dresses to you."

"Can I get a dress? A really pretty one."

"Of course you can," Gabby smiled.

"Yay!" She cheered happily.

"Ooh Auntie Gabby this one's so pretty," Eva saw a white strapless wedding dress that flowed out at the bottom and had a long veil down the back.

"Sorry Eva," Gabby looked at the one her niece had picked out, "I don't like it."

"Alright," She was starting to get a little annoyed. They'd been in the store for nearly twenty minutes and her aunt hadn't liked any of the dresses she'd picked out.

"Gabby!" Violet pulled on her shorts and looked up at her, "Are there dresses for me in here?"

"Not a lot, we'll go shopping for your dress later," She explained. Part of the prize from the station was a wedding dress shopping session and it was almost time for her appointment.

"I want to go now!" She pouted.

"I can take her," Eva offered, "It'll be fun. Mom knows my size for the bridesmaids dress." She loved to go shopping but felt she wasn't being much help to her aunt in the store.

"Okay Eva," She smiled, "Here," She handed her a credit card, "I'm thinking either purple or light blue." The wedding dressed were a light shade of pink and Gabby wanted some similar but different for Violet.

"You be careful with that credit card Eva," Laura reminded her daughter.

"I will Mom," She put it in her wallet, "Alright Violet," She took her cousin's hand, "Lets go find you a dress."

"Okay," She nodded and walked with Eva out into the mall and to a store that had fancy clothes for children. Since it was in the middle of wedding season there were tons of dresses and the store was very crowded.

"Alright Eva your Mom said something purple or light blue," She looked around, "Lets see what we can find," She searched the racks of clothes and didn't see any she though Violet could wear.

"This feels pretty," Violet had wandered off a few steps to a light blue dress; she was feeling the white sash. "Can I get it?"

Eva turned around, "I like it," She grinned, "Lets see if it's your size," She looked and found her cousin's size. "Lets go try this on," She led her to the change rooms, "She's my cousin. But I can go in with her right?" She checked with the attendant.

"I guess so. Where are her parents?"

"Her Mom's at a wedding dress store," Show lowered her voice and then said, "I wouldn't ask but she's blind and it takes her awhile to get dressed.

The attendant saw Violet wasn't moving her eyes and looking around, "Okay," She told her, "You can help."

"Thanks," She smiled gratefully.

Eva helped Violet changed into the dress and she smiled brightly; when she saw her in it, "You look beautiful. We have to get this dress, its perfect."

"Okay," Violet agreed. She changed out of the dress with Eva's help and then back into her previous clothes. Eva used the credit card to pay for the dress and Violet carried the bag back with them into the wedding dress store.

"We found the perfect dress form Violet," Eva told her mom and Shay, "Is Aunt Gabby still trying on dresses?"

"Yeah but she found one that's absolutely stunning on her," Laura explained, "So I think she's going to get that one."

"Good," Eva smiled, she was glad her aunt found a dress she loved. "What does it look like?"

"It's a strapless dress with gems and a zigzag pattern at the top and a little curve at the bottom and a train "
