For all you New Yorkers out there, just toss whatever you know about Central Park out the window. I tried, but in the end it's my imagination merged with reality. I want to apologize for all the spelling mistakes in advance and give a thank you to Ravenclawdaughterofposeidon for the encouragement. I think I literally would've still been working on this for 3 months without you.
I've got probably 3 more chapters left for this story and then, editing for the other site. What fun!

3rd Person POV
A long hike, a cramped taxi ride, and a small fight with monsters camped outside the camp's borders later, Percy, Nico, and Hazel ran into the Big House.
Chiron was standing at the Ping pong table, sipping a cup of tea, reading a couple of recent reports sent in by satyrs from all over the country.
"Chiron!" Percy panted. "We have news!"
The centaur placed the report down and looked at him. "Is it something to do with the giants?"
"How-"
"A woodland spirit sent this about a day ago." He said, indicating a letter scrawled on a piece of tree bark. "Seems there was some disturbance in-" he picked up the note and scanned it quickly. "-Alabama if I'm not mistaken."
"Yeah. Sounds about right." Nico said. He stuck his hands in his jeans pockets. "So what's new here?"
Chiron cleared his throat. "More bad news I'm afraid. Loki has taken it upon himself to resurrect at least 3 giants, maybe more. Thankfully, one is vanquished and cannot come back for several centuries at minimum."
"Which other ones?" Questioned Hazel. She had snagged a cup of nectar and was sipping from it.
"From what I've heard, Polybotes is being resurrected somewhere in California and the king of giants, Porphyrion, is being reborn in Central Park."
Percy glanced at Nico. "So what's the plan?"
He shrugged. "No clue."
"Guys!" Leo yelled. The Latino boy rushed in, dragging a boy behind him. "Huge issue. Dad just told us, Mt. Saint Helens. It kind of exploded."
"So what?" Questioned Hazel.
"And something escaped." Explained the other boy. "What did dad call it Leo?"
Leo shrugged. "I dunno. I wasn't really paying attention."
"Typhon?" Asked Percy.
"Something like that. Yeah, yeah it was that name. Dad said that thing was moving east. He was preparing to go fight it. A lot of the gods we it looked like."
Chiron gazed at us solemnly. "Children, we are in serious trouble. Percy, Nico, Hazel. Can you go check out the situation in Central Park? And maybe the surrounding area? Loki is preparing to tear down the gods' seat of power in America."
"Again!?" Groaned Percy. "Why can't people be more original?"
"Please Percy." Chiron pleaded. "Tony, Leo. Round up the campers. Alert Argus, tell him to get the van started."
The fivesome raced out of the house, the two children of the Hades and Percy towards the camp borders, Leo off to the large group of cabins, and Tony shouting 'Maia,' flying up into the air, looking for the 100-eyed giant.
Percy managed, by some miracle, to hail a taxi to take them to Central Park. In the middle of the park, a large glowing bubble was slightly hovering over the top of the Bethesda Fountain. Inside was a large, almost fully formed giant. The trio walked towards it, and of course, being a demigod related thing, the mortals were walking past without noticing the floating bubble.
"How did Loki even-" Percy wondered. He backed up until he hit a maple tree. "Oomph. Oh, hey there." He patted the tree's trunk. "How's it going Hyperion?" Facing his two companions, he placed his hands on his hips. "What are we going to do?"
"Simple." Hazel unsheathed her cavalry sword and chucked it at the bubble. Blade first, it hit the bubble- and bounced off, the bubble completely unharmed. Hazel dived out of the way to avoid being skewered. She got up and brushed herself off. "Well, that didn't work. It's got some kind of force field around it."
"Clearly." Nico said. He walked around the fountain, looking at the golden bubble. "Well if it's all the way around the bubble, then I don't see a way to pop it."
Percy sat down heavily on the edge of the fountain. Not good, the last time he saw Porphyrion was in Greece. And to defeat him took Zeus, Jason and Percy, all battling their hardest.
A water nymph melted out of the fountain. "Lord Perseus. There might be a way. A couple days ago, a man came and put that horrid gold bubble on top of the fountain. He then waved his hand and a protection spell was cast upon it. The man said that the foolish gods had no weapon of this world, human or god-made, that could penetrate it and that his plans to take over would finally be accomplished." She looked up at the bubble and stomped her foot. "And that stupid thing is messing up my water. Hasn't anyone heard of water pollution!? It's a damaging thing!"
"Uh- sorry, what's your name?" Percy jumped up from where he was sitting when the naiad appeared and backed up towards Hazel.
"Pond, my lord, Marina Pond." She did a small curtsy. "And I apologize for startling you."
"Don't worry about it. So Marina, what else did Loki say? Did he do anything suspicious like hide anything?"
"He did seem to favor sector a lot." She said thoughtfully. "Then after he put that horrid bubble there, he spoke of one last thing to do before the total conquering of Olympus. Something to do with a tree?" Saying what she needed, the naiad stepped back into her fountain and disappeared into the water.
"A tree?" Repeated Percy. He looked over at the maple tree and shivered. "Let's not hope Loki was lying."
Hazel turned to her half-brother. "What's up with the tree? It looks harmless enough."
Nico whispered the short Percy versus Hyperion story into her ear.
At the end of the story, Hazel's eyes widened with fear. "But Percy has been blessed by Chaos. Surely he's stronger than he was then."
"Who knows?" Replied Nico. "Hyperion could be out of practice since he's been imprisoned for 300 years. Or he could be super-powerful by conserving his strength for all those years."
As he spoke those last words, a powerful blast happened with the maple tree as its epicenter, showering splinters of wood to the surrounding area. The trio dove out of the way and behind trash cans and park benches.
When the dust settled, a large, golden figure was standing, black explosion marks radiating out around his feet. "Ah, puny son of Poseidon, we meet again."
"No love here Hyperion." Percy growled. "Enjoy your time as a tree? I remember you making a nice one."
Hyperion smirked. "Never mind that. Now if you'll excuse, I must go join the assault on Olympus." He started to glow, but before he completely left he said, "And I would like to repay that tree favor." As he shimmered out, four bodies shimmered into existence in his place. Four earthborn stood, clad in only loincloths. "Son of the sea god." They chanted together. "Children of death. It's time for you to meet your end." Each of their six hands picked up garbage cans, large rocks, handfuls of cobblestones, and chunks of concrete from the stone barriers surrounding the fountain.
"Hazel." Percy yelled. "Remember Ella? The spot where they're sensitive?"
Hazel nodded. "Groin time." She took out two of her pugios and threw them, one embedding itself into his upper thigh and the other sticking out of his forehead like a unicorn horn. Screaming in pain, the earthborn crumbled into clay, the clay eventually melting back into the earth.
"You'll pay for that, worthless demigod." Snarled what appeared to be the leader.
"Mhm, sure." Hazel leaped forward and started weaving her way towards the group of earthborn. As she approached, a multitude of items sailed her way. She managed to dodge the majority of the rubble, rolling and jumping around them. Nico and Percy soon joined Hazel, rushing the children of the earth.
As Percy ran, he uncapped Riptide a swung it in an upwards arc. A large gash opened up in an Earthborn's stomach, sand flecked with clay and dirt spilling out of the wound. The monster grunted and fell forward, Percy rolling out of the way just in time.
The brethren of the slain Earthborn roared in anger and a clay hand rose up out of the earth, pulling Percy slowly underground.
"Mother has had very little energy after her big defeat, little demigod." Snarled one of the Earthborn. "But she has energy to help us do this. And she'll take great pride and pleasure in slowly destroying your body and soul."
He must be the smarter one. Hazel reasoned, looking at the Earthborn who wa gloating. He looked almost identical to his siblings, but he was a bit taller and muscular than them. I think the others just grunted and picked their noses, stupid lumps of clay. She focused on that one and directed all her attacks to him. Unfortunately, being the more intelligent one, he managed to dodge her daggers and sword swings, only a couple of them hitting their mark.
Nico was having the same kind of luck as Hazel. He attempted to raise the dead, but it was like that power in this area was somehow flipped from on to off. "Hazel, I think Gaia's awake."
"You think?" She shouted, briefly motioning to the slowly disappearing Percy. "You want to do something about that before we're minus a Kelp Head? I just got over my fear of water."
"Oh crap." muttered Nico and rushed over to his cousin, bringing out a small dagger made of stygian iron and started hacking at the dirt fingers. Slowly but surely, the dirt started to crumble and released Percy. "Hey, Perce." Nico said, slapping his face. "Come on dude, don't do this again."
Percy spit out a sizable mouthful of dirt. "Yuck dude. I think I swallowed a worm. What the heck happened?"
Nico quickly filled him, Percy's expression darkening with annoyance. "Gaia? I thought we got rid of that chick forever and a day ago? Why can't things stay asleep longer?" He reached for his sword, muttering a wide variety of curses under his breath.
"Who knows dude. At least you aren't 500 feet under." He helped his cousin to his feet. A scream of pain quickly turned his head. With horror, he saw his half-sister being lifted into the air by her throat, the Earthborn looking extremely proud of himself.
Percy growled. In an instant, he was rushing the larger Earthborn, Riptide a blur in his hands. With his first stab, Hazel was dropped, Nico rushing over to move her a safe distance away from the action.
"Twice in one day." He muttered, trickling nectar down her throat. "You're going to die one of these days."
Percy backed up, capping his sword in the process. He thrust his hands forward, two large watery hands rising from the fountains water. They grabbed the Earthborn and started to squeeze him. He burst into clay particles that quickly dispersed in the watery hands. "Sorry Marina." He shouted, releasing the water and dumping it back into the fountain. A quick slash up the belly with Riptide finished off the stunned clay monster.
"Nice Perce." Commented Nico. "Next time, try and not get the rest of us wet when you drop that water." He shook his hair, raining the surrounding ground and Hazel.
"Knock it off Nico." Hazel groaned. "Oh geez, what happened here? And why are my clothes wet and dirty."
"Earthborn almost killed you, I killed it with water hands. Pretty much what happened." Percy summarized. He walked over to his cousins and touched them on their shoulders, the water evaporating from their clothes. "And no more godly food Hazel, we can't have you burning up yet."
A hunting horn sounded nearby. A group of about 20 girls flooded from a dense grove of trees. Dressed in silver, the girls formed a semicircle and a girl with electric blue eyes and a silver circlet stepped forward. "Hey Kelp Brains, long time, no see."
