Yep, I'm back. My excuse? I'll use the 'I have school' one. I'm so close to finishing! I can almost taste it. Hope you enjoy and you pardon me for any mistakes you find. I sort of didn't proof read too much. Yeah...

3rd Person POV

Percy stood and hugged her. "Hey Thals. What's up?"

"The sky. And probably dad, but that's not important. We were drawn here by-" She looked up at the fountain. "Whoa, look at that. That looks serious. Is that the giant that almost killed dad? Oh, he's going to have a conniption."

I smiled. "Probably. Have you heard about the recent events?"

"Yeah, we left camp a little bit ago." The hunters around her had mixed emotions, ranging from annoyance to disgust. "Let's see: big bad things in Alabama, stuff happening with volcanos, issues in the ocean, and problems with the underworld." She said, ticking off each thing on her fingers.

"Sounds about right." Nico said while helping Hazel to sit up. He offered her an Advil. "What? Don't give me that look. I ran out of nectar." He said when Hazel looked at the pill with reproach.

"So, Perce? What are you up to? Hey, where'd that maple tree go?" She walked over to the blast area and circled the area. She crouched down and touched some of the torched grass. "I swear there was a tree here a couple days ago when I was chasing a jackalope around here."

"When did you-?" Hazel raised her eyebrow. "Wait, don't tell me, Artemis?"

"Yeah." Sniggered Thalia. "It was super funny. But seriously, what the Hades happened here."

"You remember Hyperion? Well, big boom, Hyperion escaped the tree, and he's heading to Olympus. I'd say we're about 90% screwed."

"Yeah, maybe." Thalia stood and looked at a fading trail of gold, leading towards the Empire State Building. "Yeah, Olympus is going to crash and burn without us."

"Okay, let's think." Percy said. "Typhoon is marching east. Okay, not good. One second." He fumbled in his pocket and pulled out a dusty drachma and waved his hand, a patch of mist appearing in the fountain stream. "O Iris, goddess of the rainbow, show me Henry at Camp Half Blood."

The most shimmered and showed an image of Henry dancing around and singing. "Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth. Clap along if you know what happiness is to you. Clap-"

"Henry!" Percy yelled.

The Indian boy stopped wiggling his butt and turned to face the Iris Message. "Hey Zeta! What's up? Whoa, silver chicks."

"Hey." Percy said, snapping his fingers. "Focus Henry. I need to you to do something important."

Henry scurried over to the nearest surface and sat. "Okay! So, what's going on?"

"Gather the group and head to the Empire State Building. The gods are away fighting Typhoon. Olympus is undefended and Loki is probably close to there."

"Got it. Big, bad Olympus issues. Can't the gods handle it by themselves?

"No idiot." Sam said, walking and slapping Henry on the back of the head. "Hey Punk. What's going on?"

Percy relayed the same message to Sam and at the end she looked bewildered. "And you would entrust that to this idiot here? He'd get distracted halfway up the stairs and forget. What does Annabeth see in you?" She pushed Henry off the counter. "Go tell James and grab your weapons. Think you can handle that?"

"Yeah, something about yoyo's right?" He stood and skipped out of the room.

"No! Nothing about yoyo's, I said- oh forget it." She took out her knife and started to sharpen and polish it. "So, you sure you don't want a couple of usp out those loser gods?" The sky rumbled on Sam's side of the IM. "Oh, shut it!" Sam shouted. "You know it's true."

"Nah, I think they'll be relatively okay."

"Fine." Sam stowed her knife in her boot. "Hey listen, I'm going to go get Henry and the rest of the gang. We'll meet you at the building. The tall one right?"

"Yes. You seriously don't know one of the most famous buildings in America?"

"Pssht. Whatever, this planet is weird. I'll see you soon, have to go help James kill Henry. And stop him from bringing his yoyo." She waved and slashed through the mist, cutting off the connection.

"Okay. Nico and Hazel, why don't-"

"I'm not going." Nico said. "I'm going to help out dad in the underworld. There's more dangerous monsters down there that don't need to be walking around." He gave a slight nod to his friends and stepped into a shadow, disappearing from sight.

Small time jump

Percy had "borrowed" a van parked on the street near the park. A hunter, who happened to be a daughter of Hephaestus, hot- wired the van and they all piled in, the hunters squeezing themselves as far away from Percy as possible.

"Okay guys, hold on." Percy hit the accelerator and sped through traffic, cars skidding to a stop and honking. Ten minutes later the van skidded to a stop in front of the famous building.

A black portal appeared seconds later next to the front doors and Henry was shoved out of it, followed by Sam and the rest of the Chaos warriors. The portal closed once everyone was through. "Hey Punk. Why does it smell like burned rubber? Okay, who let him drive?"

"Oh relax Sam." Soothed Percy. "I didn't hit anything. I've only hit one thing 170 years ago. And it was a cow with some sort of disease, so I really shouldn't be punished for that."

"Yeah, Chaos still chewed you out though. Hey, who's that?" She pointed at a white van rolling to a stop in front of us. The doors opened and a flood of campers streamed out of the van. A similar van driven by Argus rolled up behind the first and the rest of the camp came out.

"Hey Hazel." Yelled a blond haired camper. He waved his bow in the air and pointed to a couple of tall buildings. He quickly split the rest of the Apollo campers into groups and gave them instructions. After they went to climb the stairs to the various roofs, only a dozen Apollo campers were left to handle the ground.

Almost as soon as the campers left, a groaning sound was heard and a series of loud crashes were heard. Another loud rumble shook New York and all the tunnels collapsed, the main bridges in and out crumbled into the water.

"What the heck was that?" Asked James. He turned as a soft thump was heard above us. A women in a deep blue dress stood on a windowsill. She looked down and winked at the assembled demigods and Chaos warriors. "Спокойной ночи дорогие." (Loosely translated to 'Goodnight dears'.) She exhaled and a white mist drifted from her mouth. She winked and shimmered from where she stood.

Almost immediately, the closest mortals collapsed to the ground. One of the Hermes campers knelt down and searched for a pulse. "Well, it looks like they're not going to die. Just knocked out."

"Deja vu anyone?"one?" Asked Henry. "Nope, just me."

"How do you know?" asked a voice. "You weren't even there."

Henry looked around. "First: FREAKY! And second, I had the battle taped on my DVR. It was 'Hilarious Battles on Earth' week on the Chaos channel. Best week right James?" He held up a hand to the sullen boy, who just ignored him and looked up into the sky. "Okay, so no. But seriously, who spoke?" He lifted up one of the campers feet. "Not under here."

From above, the same voice spoke. "Nobody."

Sam smirked and picked up a medium sized pebble. "Okay, I don't like to have things in common with Henry, but I did see the showing of 'Dumb Things That Percy Does That He Think Will Work.'"

"Is that really a thing?" Asked Percy. "Oh, never mind. Annabeth?"

The invisible voice soon gained a face in the form of Percy's girlfriend. "Hello sweetie. Okay, let's get down to business." She ushered the group of demigods into the spacious lobby of the building.

Employees and tourists lay unconscious all over the floor.

"Okay." Annabeth said. She flicked her wrists and summoned some mist and shaped it into a ball. "So, here's the waterways." She snapped her fingers, bring up an image of telehikens paddling across the jerks. "But that's not the worst. Unlike the Battle of Manhattan 300 years ago, the tunnels aren't a way in. The closest I can figure is that they're trying to keep us in the city. This is the serious problem." She waved her hand and the image shifted to the darkening sky. A small black crack forming and growing larger by the minute. "I still don't know why it's there, but we're going to prepare for the worst."

"So here's how we're going to divide up."

"Hold up Kelp Brain." Thalia whispered a couple things to her hunters and then turned back to Percy. "Okay, the hunters and I-"

She was cut off by a growl and an explosion from outside. The semi- transparent windows provided a view to the street. An army of monsters marched around on the streets around the building. The monsters were not part of this world though. Tall, gray humanoid shapes holding clubs were mixed in with short, stocky icicle- covered beasts. Their light blue eyes clashed with their pale blue skin and they carried sharp battle axes. A couple more elite warriors rode hellhounds.

"Crap." muttered Percy. "We may have less time than I thought."
