Chapter Twelve: A Trancy Life
Mmm...? Am I... dead? Jim Macken thought.
Blooming warmth fluttered through him and he felt a gentle hand stroking his hair. Slowly blinking open his eyes, he found himself lying on the floor, his head resting on the lap of a beautiful woman with short silver hair, smiling down at him. Her bright azure eyes glittered with warmth, and when she spoke, her voice was light like wind chimes.
"How do you feel?" she asked gently.
Immediately he sat up in alarm, and to his shock two feathered white wings protruded from her back, folded neatly. Quickly he tried to move away from her.
"Don't worry, Big Brother!"
Jim looked to see his little brother Luka Macken smiling happily at him. "Big Sister Anna is the one who saved us!"
She smiled easily, dipping her head in greeting. "My name is Annabelle," she introduced, "but please call me Anna. I never meant to reveal my true form to you, but I'm an angel."
Luka twirled around proudly. "Look! Big Sister Anna healed all of our injuries!" he cheered before running to hug her.
Anna laughed as she hugged him, patting him on the head affectionately. Jim, however, was still wary of their rescuer.
"I'm glad you're both okay," Anna said gently. "I was only just going to pass by this town when I saw you two were in danger, so I came to help you as soon as possible. I'll have to leave soon though..."
Luka's arms tightened around her. "Please don't leave us, Big Sister!" he cried. "You make us feel so warm and safe!"
She hesitated, and she smiled. "I'll stay for the time I can... but I'm afraid at most I'll only be able to stay for a week."
"Fine..." he murmured sadly, hugging her tightly.
The angel chuckled gently, and in a gentle flurry of feathers, her wings vanished.
Jim was still a little sceptical of the mysterious angel, but he had to admit to himself that she made him feel safe.
"So, do either of you need anything?" Anna asked, "Food? Water?"
"Food!" Luca cheered, pumping both fists in the air.
She laughed. "Okay then, well, give me a little time then, alright?"
Leaving the siblings behind, Anna went into town and purchased some food before returning to the basement where they were living, and she set down all of the items she had bought.
"Wah! There's so much!" Luca exclaimed in excitement. "Is this all really for us?!"
She nodded, going to pick up a satchel bag she had sitting against the wall that she had placed there earlier. "Give me a little bit to prepare though," she said.
Jim's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "Were you really able to steal all this food just for us?" he asked, "why would you do that?"
She shook her head, smiling warmly in assurance. "I didn't steal it," she told him, "I bought all of this. And I'm doing this because I said I would take care of the both of you for the next week."
From her satchel she was able to pull out random cooking utensils, such as plates, a cutting board, several knives, etc.
The next thing Jim and Luca realized, the angle had practically pulled out an entire kitchen from the tiny satchel, as if its inside was a four-dimensional space. Anna's makeshift kitchen included a full sink as well as a stove and oven.
A-Am I dreaming? Jim thought, rubbing at his eyes. Where's the water in the tap coming from; the fire?
"Wah! You're so cool, Big Sister Anna!" Luca cheered, hugging her dress.
She laughed. "Why don't you two go run off and play for a bit while I prepare supper?" she asked.
"Let's go pick some flowers!" Luca exclaimed, grabbing his brother and practically dragging him out as they both left the basement.
Anna smiled, tying up her short hair before starting to work. The guys in our mechanical department are amazing, she thought, turning on the tap as fresh water began pouring into the sink.
Upon their return to their basement, Jim and Luca were in disbelief at the warmth that seemed to be welcoming them back to their home. They were shocked at the magnificent feast presented at the round wooden table that was in the middle of the room, three chairs at the table, Annabelle already sitting in one waiting for them. Amongst their small feast included a full roasted chicken, sliced loaf of freshly-baked bread, fresh orange juice in tall glasses, an assorted variety of fresh fruit in a bowl, and a delicious garlic mashed potato salad.
"Welcome back," the angel greeted brightly.
"Wah, it looks great!" Luca exclaimed, running over to Anna and presenting her with the flowers. "These are for you!"
She took them gratefully. "Thank you," she responded, "they're beautiful." She glanced at the empty vase sitting at the middle of the table and put the flowers in them. "They'll be the perfect centerpiece for our feast. Now come, sit at the table and enjoy the meal I've prepared for you both."
Quickly the pair scrambled to sit at the table, and Jim hesitated for a moment at the food, concerned if it was a trap.
"Don't worry," Anna assured, as if reading his thoughts. "I didn't do anything to the food."
"Let's eat!" Luca exclaimed, digging into the food happily. "Wah! It's delicious! Try some, Big Brother!"
Jim pursed his lips together as his mouth watered at the delicious scent wafting into his nose. He swallowed hungrily, feeling his stomach growl with hunger.
"Come on, eat some Big Brother!" Luca encouraged, his mouth full of food, "It's delicious!"
Reluctantly Jim reached out and took a piece of bread, and the feeling of it was strange, almost... foreign, to him. The texture of it was just so soft; it was what he and Luca had always imagined the texture of the clouds to be. Hesitantly taking a bite, warmth flooded into his mouth before he swallowed, the taste of the freshly-baked bread lingering on his taste buds before hunger surged through him once more. Immediately he began to grab at all of the nearest foods available and began scarfing it down.
Anna sighed softly in relief, happy that it seemed that Jim and Luca were enjoying themselves. "Eat slower," she chided with a soft chuckle, "Don't worry, the food won't disappear. Eat slower or else you'll get tummy aches afterwards."
They didn't seem to hear her as they continued to hungrily devour the small feast Anna had prepared for them, stuffing themselves until they couldn't take another bite of food.
"That was so good..." Luca sighed, groaning happily as he rubbed his rounded belly.
"Haha, I'm glad you liked it," Anna said, beginning to clean up as she pulled out an oddly-shaped bowl from her four-dimensional bag before brushing the leftovers into the bowl, and the leftovers seemed to vanish before she put the bowl back into the bag.
"Where're you putting the food, Big Sister?" Luca asked curiously.
She smiled. "It's being sent to various homeless people all over the world," she said. "Hence leftovers never go to waste."
"Why should you care about them?" Jim scowled, "they're probably mean people like the villagers."
Anna's smile merely widened. "No," she said, "many of them are kind, and some of them may even become angels like me who help people."
"Really?" Luca piqued happily, "Can Big Brother and I become angels too?!"
She laughed merrily as she put the dishes into the sink. "Perhaps," she responded happily. "For now, enjoy the lives you have right now."
Jim stared at Annabelle as she began to wash the dishes, a small smile touching his face.
Perhaps she isn't as bad as I had first thought her to be, he thought.
The truth was that Jim had already grown quite attached to Anna, looking up to her as a motherly figure in his life. And deep in his heart, he never wanted this to end...
... However two weeks later, Anna had to leave the two behind, nevertheless, Jim swore to himself that one day... one day he and Luca would see Annabelle again...

Alois Trancy opened his eyes, realizing that he had been dreaming of the past. He felt that a hand was gently stroking his head, and he soon realized that he was sleeping on someone's lap. He looked up into Wishing Angel Annabelle's smiling face.
"Anna?" he murmured.
She dipped her head. "You ended up falling asleep in my lap," she said. "So I thought it'd be best to let you rest for a while."
He nuzzled against her, wrapping his arms around her waist, rubbing his cheek against her pregnant belly. "I had a dream of the past," he told her. "I dreamed of when you first came to me..."
Anna smiled, hugging the young Trancy earl to her. "Don't worry," she assured. "We'll always be together now..." Carefully she reached back and unhooked his hands from her waist, smiling. "Now, time for bed."
She looked up, and Claude was already at the door, offering a nod. They escorted Alois back to his room, and Claude helped Alois change before he and Anna tucked him into bed.
"Sleep well, Alois," Anna wished him softly, pressing his lips against her forehead. "We'll see you in the morning."
He nodded before closing his eyes with a smile as he quickly fell asleep. After confirming that Alois had already fallen asleep, Anna and Claude left the room where they were met with the triplets and Hannah.
"Alright," Anna determined, "Now we only have a few things left to sort out for tomorrow."
Claude nodded seriously, turning first to the triplets. "You three handle preparations for tomorrow," he instructed. "Hannah, go handle the report tonight."
They all bowed before leaving for their respective jobs. Claude smiled at Anna, stroking her face gently.
"Well then," he said, "shall we return to our bedroom?"
She chuckled softly, placing a hand on her slightly-bloated stomach. "Well... I guess our baby's still early in development, so it should be fine."
Claude smirked, swinging her up into his arms and carrying her off to their bedroom in a flash, laying her down across the bed.
"Well then," Claude sighed, looming on top of her. "What shall we do?"
She laughed lightly, a shimmering angelic barrier encasing the room. "Well, we're in a bedroom, you're on top of me," she began logically. "Shouldn't we do what normal men and women do in this situation?"
He smiled, removing his glasses and tucking them into his shirt pocket. "Well then," he began, leaning in to give her a soft kiss before peeling off her maid outfit, "let's remind ourselves how I got you pregnant in the first place then, shall we?"
QAQ NUUUUU! I'm pretty sure we've all figured out what just happened there... soo... yeah. XD
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and now comes the important question I was talking about at the beginning of this chapter:
In a later chapter, there's gonna be some sexual content. Not SUPER explicit or anything, but it's still there. So here's the question:
Should I just make an AN at the beginning of that chapter informing the readers (aka you guys) that there will be (reference to) sexual content included in JUST that chapter? Or should I just change the entire fanfiction to be rated M? O.O
Well, let me know what you guys think! ^w^ (Hopefully I'll be able to get the next chapter up... ... ... eventually... -_-" oh uni, y u take up so much of mah time?)
PLEASE REVIEW!
