How can you not love someone when they are Joy.
She isn't just a joy to be around,
she's not someone who's just joyful.
She's Joy, personified. Her Smile..
It's the most true thing in my life.
Japan is full of lies and sadness for me,
Mai is my joy.
She's soft and pretty,
Sweet and innocent.
A light at the end of the tunnels of my bone wearing days spent here searching for Gene's body.
Japan is hate,
and struggle,
pain and strife,
and my responsiblity to me.
But there's Mai.
If anyone can bring the surviving twin back to life,
it's her.
So she is joy on a cloudy day,
and sunlight in the dark.
She'll bring him back to life.
Then we all have a chance at life again.
