A/N-It has been way too long since I have updated this and for this I apologize. I have been working on it on and off but I had some time to update for those that are still following this. I do plan on finishing this and writing the alternate Calzone ending. So now without further long awaited ado I give you the next chapter.
"Soooo, what exactly is she saying?" Jason asks his eyebrow arched in question. Erica shrugs her shoulders and shakes her head.
'I have no idea." Erica takes a drink of her beer and smiles at Callie. The brunette is excitedly rambling in Spanish and since neither she nor the guys understand Spanish they are waiting for Callie to come back to a more familiar language. The people in the large crowd around them are beginning to stare a little.
"I had no idea she would react like this." Angel replies. They had all managed to keep their plans for the night mostly secret. They let Callie know things here and there. She knew they were going to Summerfest and it was a music festival but every one managed to keep the concert they were going to secret. Callie finally runs out of steam and turns towards Erica. The brunette has a big smile on her face and her cheeks are flushed with excitement. Erica tries hard not to swoon but fails. Jason carefully takes Erica's beer out of her hand just as Callie throws her arms around the blonde.
I cannot believe we are going to a Bruno Mars concert. There are no words to explain how excited I am." Erica smirks.
"Oh I think there is Cal just not in words that any of us can understand." The two women stare at each other and even through thousands of people are walking around them the two women don't realize it. Callie's arms are still wrapped around Erica's waist when Jesse clears his throat. Both women start and seem to realize that there are other people around them. All three men have smug smiles on their faces. Callie blushes and pulls away from Erica. Angel hands her, her ticket and she quickly launches into a discussion about the concert with Angel and Jesse. Jason walks up to Erica and hands her beer back to her. He looks at her with an all knowing grin. Erica attempts to conceal her grin by taking a drink of beer but it fools no one.
Erica barely registers the concert. She is too busy watching Callie. The brunette knows every song and sings every song. Erica always knew Callie could sing but she is blown away with just how well her friend sings. Everyone is riding a high as they leave the concert. Callie is introduced to pizza cones and the slightly over the top drinking culture that comes with partying in a state known for drinking.
Seven beers, two shots, and three pizza cones later Callie falls into bed. She is asleep for a few blissful hours when she hears her phone. She groans and ignores it. It goes off again, and again the brunette ignores the intrusion. When it happens again Callie lifts her head from her pillow her hand searching blindly for her phone. It continues to go off and Callie starts to worry. She finds it next to her bed. When her phone lights up her heart sinks. She has two missed calls and three text messages. Her phone lights up again with a familiar face.
"Hello?" Callie answers her heart starting to race.
"Callie." Comes the relieved voice. Callie sits up in the bed suddenly much more sober then she was a few minutes ago.
"Addison what's going on?" Callie glances at at the clock. "It's 3 am your time."
"Okay I need you not to panic…"
"That's not helping Addie!"
"I know. Look Cal, I need you to get on the next plane back." Tears start to sting Callie's eyes as she changes clothes.
"Addie is…." Addison interrupts her before she can continue.
"Right now everyone is okay but you do need to come home." Addison has to reassure her a few more times before Callie can hang up the phone. There is mass confusion from the guys and Erica at being woken up at 5 am in the morning but much like Callie everyone seems to sober up when they see the fear on Callie's face.
Jesse drops her and Erica off at the airport. Callie had attempted to convince Erica to stay with her family but the blonde wouldn't hear of it. Angel and Jason assure the women they will bring the rest of their stuff with them when they return to Seattle in a few days. Jesse hugs them both before they rush to catch their plane. Neither woman says much as they sit on the plane. Callie leans her head against the window. The plane takes off as the sun begins to rise. She watches the sun hit Lake Michigan and is caught in the beauty as they climb higher into the sky.
It's as if they race the sun back to Seattle. Callie watches the sun hit the water as they approach Seattle much in the same way she did not that long ago. They begin to descend and Callie takes a deep breath. She feels a hand slide into hers and looks at Erica with a small smile. Callie can only hope all of Addison's reassurances were right.
