Hey guys! Sorry for the chapter being unreadable before... I have absolutely no idea why it keeps happening... But hopefully you're all able to read this chapter now!
The countryside constantly changed as the Hogwarts Express rode towards London. Rose sat alone in a carriage with Scorpius. He held her hand in comfort.
"Do you really think it is going to be that awful?" Scorpius asked.
Rose nodded. "My dad's going to kill me." She said.
"Hopefully he's not going to kill you, because then I'll have to kill him." Scorpius said in a dark voice.
Rose giggled a little. "A revenge kill?" she asked.
"Of course!" Scorpius exclaimed, putting his arms around her, holding her tight. "I don't want to lose you." He said quietly into her hair.
Rose held him just as tight. "Me neither."
As the Express neared London, Rose felt more and more nervous.
"Hey." Scorpius said, feeling her tension. "Perhaps I can convince my mom and dad to invite you and your parents over during the holiday?" He asked, trying to easy her tension.
But Rose tensed even more. "I'm afraid my dad would never even consider going." She said slowly.
"Well just you then?" Scorpius asked just as the train reached London.
Rose looked out onto the streets, thinking. Her dad would probably be quite mad for her spending her holiday at the Malfoys. But compared to being stuck in their house in the middle of nowhere with her dad being mad, her vicious little brother and a mom who constantly would try to please everybody and make them come at good terms again?
"Sure, I would love to." She finally said as the train reached Kings Cross.
Scorpius was almost jubilant, and Rose couldn't help but send him a bright smile.
Out on the platform chaos ruled. Everybody was shouting for family members, trying to force their way through the crowd, carrying trunks and pets.
Rose suddenly eyed her mum and dad in the crowd. Hugo had already found them, and chatted with Ron, while Hermione was scanning the platform for Rose. Rose and Hermione's eyes locked, and Hermione then nodded towards her. Ron followed his wife's gaze, and found his daughter.
Rose noticed that her dad's eyes immediately went dark when he saw Scorpius at her side.
Feeling defiant, Rose turned to Scorpius and kissed him passionately.
"My parents are over there." She then said, nodding vaguely in the direction. Before Scorpius could look, Rose leaned in and whispered: "I look forward to the invitation." She then kissed him again before taking off towards her parents.
"Just taking a stroll in the middle of the night, huh? Kissing a bit with a boy in the restricted section? Merlin's Beard, what is wrong with you Rose?!" Ron yelled furious.
"Ronald!" Hermione yelled back.
Hugo giggled.
Rose just said nothing. She had foreseen this.
"Rose Weasley! I'm. Talking. To. You!" Ron yelled again, pause between every word.
"I know." Rose just said.
"Then answer me!" Ron bellowed.
"Ron! Shut up!" Hermione yelled.
Ron grumbled all the way home.
"You're too hard on her! Let it go, Ron!" Hermione shouted.
Rose sighed, and closed the book she had been trying to read. She could hear her parents' argument clearly. It echoed through the house. Luckily, Hugo was out.
"Let it go?! She was sneaking around in the hallways at the middle of the night! She's a prefect!" Ron yelled back in return.
"So were we!" Hermione yelled. "And how many times didn't we run about the castle? Merlins Beard, I'm more surprised that she hasn't been caught before now!"
"She is dating a Malfoy! Both his father and his grandfather where Deatheaters!"
"Now who is worried about having 'pure blood' or a 'clean background'?" Hermione yelled back.
Rose couldn't hear any more of the argument since her mom finally had made her father shut up. Instead she heard a tap on the window.
Rose walked over and found Scorpius' owl outside the window.
"Hey there little buddy." Rose said as she let the owl inside her room and then stroke its feathers. "I should really get to know your name." she said. The owl made a soft howl, and gently nipped Roses hand.
"You brought me anything?" Rose asked, and the owl stretched out its leg.
Rose took the letter, and then brought the owl some water from the bathroom next to her bedroom. While the owl was resting and drinking, Rose read the letter.
My dearest, most beautiful Rose
My parents have agreed to let you come to visit. They both look forward to meet you. And now isn't even soon enough. I miss you!
If you want to, my parents don't mind you spending a couple of days here (even though they both talk about you sleeping in a separate room, which I really don't get), so all that's left is convincing your parents. How hard do you think it will be?
Love,
Scorpius
Rose smiled. She where to see Scorpius soon again!
Then her smile faded. How was she ever to convince her father to let her go?
