'I hate her…'

Monika thought as she lay in her bed. She was weak, she could hardly move however this didn't stop her from having her thoughts. She had always despised Maria ever since she'd came into the picture of the Drevis residence. Since that day things had only got worse. Alfred and her began to drift apart, he became distant and spent an increasing amount of time in that basement of his…with her. Monika was almost sure she knew what was going on but her health happened to deteriorate before she could investigate any further. In fact, it seemed to have gotten worse after Maria had put her on that dose of medicine. Unfortunately for Monika, she was too weak to refuse it.

'Here we are…' Elizabeth backed into the room, a tray in her hands which balanced a bowl of warm soup and hot tea.

'Elissa…'

'Maria told me to put your medication in it too, Alfred's orders.' She stirred the soup and smiled reassuringly at Monika.

'Now, lets get this down you. I do hope you get better soon…I suppose it may have to get worse before it gets better judging on your condition.'

Monika prayed the girl was right, but her thoughts that something more sinister was going on seemed to override any prayers she had of survival. Things weren't right and she knew it.

After she had been fed, Monika was settled down with Elizabeth's help. She tried desperately to sleep but she didn't feel right, she was struggling. It was painful struggling… almost as if her condition was worsening if such was even possible at this point.
