I'd never dictated a letter before. I especially never thought that I'd be doing it through a child. Kenny was, according to him, the best speller in his class. I believed in the small blond hair blue eyed child. He and other children were the only way for me to communicate with the world. I was lonely.
"Miss Gen?" Kenny asked me. Right I was supposed to tell him what to write. I looked at the paper. He already wrote 'Dear Santa'. I started dictating.
Dear Santa,
My name is Genevieve Conrad. I am the girlfriend of Pitch Black, the boogeyman. Recently I died, and upon my death I became the Guardian of Courage. My friend the Moon, believes I should contact you. Ever since my untimely demise I have been alone. So far Kenny, who is writing this letter on my behalf, and a few others have been able to see me.
I am on my way to the North Pole. I wish to see you in person. It would be nice to have some help in this adventure I'm on. I do not know how to be a Guardian. I do not even know how to use my 'powers' I have. I can't do anything that I haven't been able to do when I was alive. Besides go through people.
Please, I need help. Pitch needs help. I think he has lost hope in the world. He's lost all strength to go on. He need's courage and I can't reach him to give it to him. Pitch may have lost his will. You are one of his oldest friends though he would never admit it. Please help us.
Genevieve Conrad
P.S. Kenneth Thorson would like a bicycle for Christmas.
I looked over the letter to make sure that the letter looked alright. Kenny had surprisingly good handwriting. I laughed at what Kenny had added to the letter. Kenny sealed his letter and ran to the mailbox with it after addressing it to the North Pole. I hoped that Santa could help me. Or that someone would be able to help me. I don't know if I could only have children as company forever.
Ellie St. North always loved to read letters that came from the children. Except it wasn't the time of year for them. When she saw one lone letter sitting on the desk she was concerned. So she couldn't help but open it. Today was her day off from the kids. Nick had taken them sled ridding.
Lex was supposed to come to tea time, but hadn't shown up yet. So Ellie knew that she had some time to read the letter. Ellie was in shock when she finished the letter. Nick had told her that Pitch hadn't been himself. That Sandy hadn't had to put up with any nightmares, but this was depression. Pitch was in a depression or at least that's what it sounded like.
"Yeti's!" Ellie called knowing that her 'guard' would be around somewhere. A younger yeti appeared. "Emergency meeting now, I need Nick and the kids."
I didn't know what to do. Kenny insisted that I stay one more night. Just in case Santa came for me. I wasn't sure that anyone would come for me. If they could come for me I wouldn't think that they'd be able to see me. It was late at night. Kenny was fast asleep. I couldn't sleep at all. I wanted to get up and get going, but I couldn't. There was no way for me to relax. I needed to keep moving. Pitch needed help and I couldn't give it to him.
"Shhhhhh!" I heard a loud whisper. I sprang to my feet. I hoped it wasn't robbers. If it was they were going to think this place was haunted. I crept out of Kenny's bedroom and headed towards the sound. There was a giant furry creature. It looked like a Bigfoot or maybe like a Bigfoot would.
"Hello?" I asked the creature jumped around and stared at me. Before I knew it, it was dark and I was thrown. My head impacted what I assumed was the ground and I was out.
"Will you stop putting people in sacks!" A woman's voice screeched. "It is not a good idea Nick! She could seriously be injured!"
"She's not." A man's voice insisted. "She is fine." The man had an accent, a Russian accent. I did it! Kenny and I did it!
"I'm at the North Pole!" I shouted in excitement throwing my hands up. "I did it!" I was on the floor looking up at an older looking man and a woman that was surely younger and his wife. "I'm Genevieve Conrad, call me Gen." I said with a smile.
"Hello, Gen." The woman smiled at me hitting her husband. "I'm Eloise Bennett-St. North. This is my husband Nick."
"You're Jamie's aunt!" I said. "I babysat sometimes! Sorry you died." But was she really dead if she was here in front of me? Or was she alive. I'm not exactly sure how that worked.
"Yes, I'm sorry you died too." Eloise said. "And please call me Ellie. My friend Lexi and her husband Sandy, the Sandman, will be here soon."
"Can you help me?" I asked. "Save Pitch?"
"Ve vill try." Nick said.
I nodded content. That's all I could ask of these people was to try and help me save Pitch. I knew what Pitch has done to them, but they had to be good people.
A/N: There you have it another chapter, sorry it took so long. I will also hopefully have a ToothxFabian story up today.
