I was waiting. It was the longest wait of my life. I was trying to keep my mind off of it. Yet it was basically burned into my brain. About every second I'd turn away but turn back to look at the box sitting on the edge of the sink. It was just staring at me.

"Gen, you okay in there?" Ellie asked knocking on the bathroom door.

"Did you fall in?" Lex's voice followed.

"No, I'm fine!"

"Let us in!" Ellie said. "We'll wait with you."

I sighed and reluctantly opened the door. This was feeling like the longest two minutes of my life. I didn't want to know the results. I was only a little late. It's not like it would be positive already? Pitch and I had just gotten settled into living with each other. To through a baby into this mix would be one more new thing to get used to.

"It won't be bad." Ellie comforted me. "We're here to help you. You'd have a ton of yeti baby sitters. Pitch is still banned from the Pole so if you ever need some time away you can easily come up here. I like visitors."

"The island sometimes gets lonely." Lex said. "And we can tan on the beach instead of looking out at this cold snow."

"Hey!"

"Don't hey me!"

"I don't even know if I am yet." I said looking at the test. I had covered it up under the box. I didn't want to know I didn't want to hold it. I was hoping that if I didn't see it I would forget. The out of sight out of mind principal was what I was hoping for. It seemed the more it was hidden the more I thought about it. I should have just not even done anything about it. I should have waited like another month or so to see if I was pregnant. It would have been so easy, but no...I decided to tell Lex and Ellie about my concerns about being pregnant. They basically ran to get me a pregnancy test. I think they can't wait until Pitch and I do have a baby.

The ringer of a timer made me jump. "It's time." Lex said holding up the timer. "Two minutes is up." All of our eyes were trained on the box. I slowly reached for it and grabbed the rest from underneath it.

"One line for negative two for positive," Ellie said.

My heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest at any second. I stared down at the in my hand. My fingers were curled around the results. My breathing got heavier and heavier as I uncurled my fingers one by one. One line….two lines. Two lines. I was pregnant.

"How am I going to tell Pitch?" I asked.

"We'll think of something." Lex and Ellie said giving me a hug. "You'll be okay Gen, we'll make sure of it."

When I got home Pitch was ecstatic just because it was Halloween soon. He was enjoying going out every night as children had nightmares and screamed at haunted houses. We were supposed to go out to another haunted something or other. I was happy to go with him. I liked those types of things as a child and teen. They were fun some were scary and others were just plain fun. Now that I had powers it was nice to see the child get a little bit of courage especially after Pitch scared him/her.

"Pitch!"

"Gen!" He said twirling me around. "It's almost Halloween."

"We've got days to go."

"It's on a weekend this year."

"Well I guess that just makes it a little easier for events to go on."

"Exactly, more children to scare!" He was not acting himself. But that was to be expected. He'd been happier ever since he knew I'd been alive. He wasn't the vampire boy he was…well not all the time. "Are you ready for some scaring tonight?"

"Pitch, I'd rather not." I said. I wasn't feeling well or even up to anything since I learned about my pregnancy. I'd fainted at some point according to Lex and Ellie. I was supposed to go for a checkup at the pole nearly every week now. I was not looking forward to it.

"What?! WHY?!" Pitch practically screeched. I hadn't said no to a single thing he'd wanted to do all month.

"I think you should sit down."

"I can't!" Pitch said. He walked around for a second. "The sun just set! We'll have to talk about this later!" He disappeared into the shadows.

"Well that went well." I said to myself.

I didn't see Pitch until November 1st. Even then it was like he wasn't his normal self. I could tell he was tired. I'm sure a lot of scary movies were on last night and a lot of children watched them. I'm sure they didn't sleep well last night just like I'm sure Pitch didn't sleep at all.

"Pitch can we talk for a second?" I asked petting one of the nightmares that had followed him around our home.

"What?" He said. "What is so important? You've sent nightmares to fetch me for days! Do you not know that I've been working! It was the most important holiday for me. The days I can scare children to have nightmares! So that children fear the boogeyman!" I was angry. "What could has possibly been important?"

"I'm pregnant that's what's so important!" I shouted at him. "I have our child growing inside of me. That's what I wanted to tell you before you left on your ultimate Halloween disappearing act. I sent the nightmares to find you! So maybe I could tell you in person without having to yell at you but that Didn't seem to work."

"You're pregnant?" He said.

"Yes!" I shouted at him. "I'm pregnant with your damn baby."

"I will teach him to instill fear into all children!" He grabbed me and was stroking my belly. I think talking more to the child in me then to me.

"Woah there cowboy!" I said pushing him away from me. "He or she has a long way to go and will make his/her own decision to scare or not to!" I told him. I had a feeling this was going to be a long pregnancy. Mostly of him and I arguing whether or not the baby would take after him or if the baby would take after me.

A/N: And I think that's it for this story. The end. Pitch and Gen will probably show up in more fanfictions I write since I still have Jack and Bunny to go and a bit of my Tooth and Fabian (but I'm at lost what to write next). Well I enjoyed writing this and I hope you all enjoyed reading it.
