Chapter 7: Book of angels
They all looked down and saw stairs leading into the ground. Aiden looked at Josh. "After you..."
Josh looked up and glared at him. As she watched the two Louise sighed and stepped forward creating a ball of light in her hand. "I'll go first." Aiden and Josh made an attempt to stop her but she ignored them. They eventually sighed and followed wordlessly after the angel. They all stepped down the stairs with caution. Louise went first lighting the way, next went Josh, then Aiden, Aaron, Daniel and finally Demetry.
"This place is gross." Aiden complained. "Suck it up wuss!" Josh laughed. Aiden glared and was about to respond when Aaron hit him on the head. "Stop, both of you, now is not the time to be fighting." Just as he said that they came to the bottom of the stairs. Louise stepped forward and threw the glowing orb in the air causing the light to cover the room. They were currently standing in a large circular room with three tunnes. One to the left, one in the middle and one to the right. "The hell is this shit?!" Daniel exclamied.
Louise walked to the center of the room and surveyed the area, deep in thought. She turned to the others. "We should spilt up. It'll be quicker and i want us back by nightfall." Everyone nodded. "Aye!" They all said in unison. Louise looked at them contemplating her plan. "Aaron you go with Daniel, you two take the left tunnel. Aiden and Demetry take the right. Jo- Ahem Ed. You come with me, we'll take the the middle tunnel." Everyone nodded and moved to their respective tunnels.
"This is weird. I-I don't trust it.." Daniel sighed. They were walking through the left tunnel. Louise had given Aaron a globe of light so they could see. The black haired boy nodded. "I know what you mean, but we have to trust Louise." Daniel rolled his head. "I do, i just have a weird feeling is all." Aaron sighed and held up the globe. "You aren't the only one. And i'm pretty sure Louise feels it too."
"Did you notice it?!" Aiden roared. Demetry sighed and glared. "Notice what?" Aiden rolled his eyes like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "When Louise was talking to Ed. She said Jo-Ed. She was about to say Josh. I think she's seen him." He contemplated. "I mean she did the same thing back at the cabin and the hotel. She's got to have seen him! Something has happened. " Demetry thought. "But why would she keep calling Ed, Josh?" Aiden shut up. Demetry did have a point. Why? "He reminds her of him?" Demetry raised an amused eyebrow. "I thought you hated Ed, now you're comparing him to Josh?" Aiden punched the wall, his eyes shadowed. "I don't like it but if that's how she seems him..." He trailed off. "Anyway if that idiot does anything to her i'll-!" Demetry sighed exaggeratedly cutting him off. "What?" Aiden asked speeding up to catch up to him.
Josh followed silently as Louise led the way through the tunnel. More like stomped her way through the tunnel. "You almost gave it away." He said jokingly. The joke didn't seem to catch on when Louise spoke next. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. Josh looked at her sadly. "It's ok. You just need to get used to it." She turned to him. "What if i don't? i could Reveal your secret and people could kill you! I don't want people to know until we turn you back." She was about to speak again but he pushed her up against the wall. "I don't want to be fixed!" He roared. After realizing what he had down, he let go of Louise and stepped back. "Sorry." He said staring at her shocked face. "Satan is causing chaos in hell and i want to fix that!" Louise looked down. "I didn't know.." It was silent for a few moments. "Alright!" Louise suddenly sprang into life. "After we get the book we defeat Satan and you can take over hell! Deal?" She put her globe in one hand and held out the other. "That was the plan." He smiled and shook her outstretched hand.
All of a sudden a low rumbling could be heard overhead. The ground beneath there feet glew as bits of debris began to fall on their heads. "Shit!"Josh shouted as he pushed Louise to the side, out of the way. "Louise?!" She heard as she sat up holding her head. She looked around, squinting in the darkness. She turned to her left and saw a wall of debris. "Josh?" She called back. She heard a sigh of relief and saw a hole appear in the wall. She ran up to it and saw Josh. "You ok?" He asked. She nodded. "How are you gonna get through?" She asked thinking. "I know! I want you to run down the tunnel and wait for me. Okay?" She looked back unsure. "But-" "Do you trust me?" He asked. "What-?" "Do you trust me?" She laughed. "What kind of stupid question is that? Of course i trust you!" He gave her a stern look. "The go!" She sighed. "Hurry up!" She said before running off.
She came to a stop in the tunnel when she saw a light. She contemplated running to the light but remembered Josh. She leant against the wall and waited for him. Her head snapped up when she heard an explosion. "Josh?!" She called out, panic rising in her throat. "I'm ok!" She heard him call. She sighed in relief and smiled as he appeared, walking towards her. "What happened?" She asked as they began walking towards the light. "I just used my powers to make a way through the wall." He said nochantly Louise nodded. "I think we're near the end of the tunnel." She said causing them both to speed up.
"Ah here they are." They heard Demetry call. They had arrived back into a room that looked similar to the one they came to at the beginning. "What the hell?" Josh called looking around. "It's a dead end." Louise pointed out. "I knew something was up." Daniel said. "Well it's not the same room because the stairs aren't here." Demetry spoke still observing his surroundings. "Oh yeah.. But now what?" Aiden asked. "There must be some way out." Aaron mused. Josh thought for a moment. "Follow me." He said running off. Louise and the others ran after him, back into the tunnel they had just come through. "Wait are we
really just gonna foll-ooo!" Aiden said but was cut off when Louise ran back and grabbed him by the collar. "Come on!"
They ran back through the tunnel, stopping when they came to the part that had collapsed. "Ed. What is it?!" He smirked and pointed up. Everyone followed his gaze. There was a hole in the ceiling. "Not really sure how far up it goes but it's still worth a shot." Josh shrugged. Louise laughed walking over to stand next to him. "Good work." She complimented hitting his shoulder and smiling. "Okay. Everyone get in line and i'll bring ya up." Louise said transforming. Somehow the others felt that this was not going to go well.
She flew everyone up separately using her wings. "Louise?" Aiden asked. "Yeah?" She asked facing upward. "I'm sorry about Josh." He could tell she wasn't expecting this. "It's not your fault idiot. If anything it was my fault." She sighed sadly. "NO IT WASN'T!" She looked at him. His body was pressed up against hers as she held him to her. She blushed at their closeness. "I'm just glad you're ok." He said placing some hair behind her ear. She looked down remembering Mr Wolf. "I'm gonna kill Satan." Aiden looked at her questionably. "He took my first kiss." Aiden looked to the side. "Actually..."
Aiden sat down on the edge of the bed as he saw Louise sleeping. He smiled at the blonde. Her face was illuminated by the moonlight streaming in from the window. Her lips slightly parted as she breathed steadily. Before he knew what he was doing he had leant in and placed a chaste kiss on her lips. He pulled away after a second and saw she was still sleeping. "I love you." He confessed placing some hair behind her ear. Before getting up and leaving the room.
"Oh." Louise blushed. "You aren't mad?" Aiden asked. Before she could answer they flew up into a large space. There were crystals hanging down from the ceiling and a light was shining on a pedestal. "There it is!" Aiden said after Louise had put him down. He suddenly began to run forward. "Aiden no!" Josh shouted. Suddenly Aiden was launched into the air. "Aaah!" Louise quickly ran forward and flew up, catching him in mid air. She then slowly descended and put him down. "Maybe we could try flying." Louise said before she flew up again and made her way to the pedestal.
Suddenly the crystals, hanging from the ceiling began falling down. "Shit!" Louise flew forward weaving her way through the falling crystals. She fell backwards as one fell in front of her. "Louise!" She looked up just in time for another one to hit her in the head causing her to fall. "LOUISE!" They all shouted as she headed for the ground. Josh charged forward and jumped up, catching her in the air before hitting the ground. "Thanks." Louise breathed. Josh nodded at her. "No problem." They both burst out laughing. "Hey guys i got it!" Daniel shouted holding up the book.
They all looked up at him. "What?!" He smiled. "Whilst you guy's set off the traps i ran over and got the book." Louise stood up. "Ok. Open it then." She said as they began to walk over to him. Daniel opened the book and a light enveloped them. "Ow... Wha-!" Louise said in surprise. She looked around them. "Josh..." She whispered. "Yeah?" He answered back. "I don't think we're in Oriel anymore.."
