Chapter 9: More than a family
"What?" Everyone shouted, except Josh. "Hi Caitlyn." He said casually. The girl waved back at him and smiled. Louise was so shocked she fell onto her butt. "Way too many shocks in the past few days." Josh laughed. "Nice to see you again Caitlyn!" She smiled back at him. "Same to you. Who are the others?" She asked gesturing to the group of people by Josh's cell. "That's Aiden, Demetry, Aaron, Daniel and Louise." He introduced pointing to each person. "Princess Louise." The guard corrected. Josh glared at him. "So you're the famous princess of destiny?" She asked Louise who rubbed her head. "Yeah... What princess of destiny?" She looked at Caitlyn shocked. "Wait you don't know?" Caitlyn asked.
"Louise!" A voice shouted gleefully. The angel was suddenly swooped into a tight embrace. "Ugh!" She cried in surprise. The woman who had caught her in the tight embrace was quite similar to Louise. She had long blonde hair tied up in an elegant bun and blue eyes just as Louise does. There was man stood behind her he had short brown hair and beard along with green eyes. He was staring at the two smiling softly. "Erm... You are?" Louise asked slowly pulling away. "Oh. Of course you won't recognise us. I'm your mother Lia and this is your father Byron." The woman said gesturing to herself and the man behind them. Louise's eyes widened and then she broke out into a grin, engulfing her mother into another hug.
Lia pulled back and looked around at the others. "Thank you all for taking care of her." They all nodded at her. "Now..." She breathed rubbing Louise's shoulders. "Why do you have a demon with you?" She asked curiously. "He's not just a demon, he's our friend." Louise said. Caitlyn turned to Josh. "I thought you were trying to destroy them?" Louise's parents gasped and swung their heads around to stare at the boy. "Not helping Caitlyn!" He hissed at her. Byron glared at Josh and walked over to the front of his cell. "You ever touch my daughter again and you're dead! Got it?!" He roared surprising everyone. "Dad it's not-" Byron turned to her. "You're defending him?!" Aiden took this chance to step in. "Sir. I can assure you-" "And you can shut you mouth too. I've seen the way you've been looking at her." Louise looked at him appalled. "Dad! Will you stop being a prick to my friends?!" She shouted. "Louise! Don't talk to your father like that!"
An all out fight broke out. Byron throwing insults around as Louise tried to defend her friends. "Will you all stop fighting?!" Demetry screamed. Louise was about to shout at him but stopped when she realised who it was. "He's right." She said. Byron sighed and went over to his wife. Louise saw Josh looking around, bored and laughed. "Hey don't worry, we'll get you out soon so you won't be bored." Josh chuckled at her comment. "I can second that buddy." Aiden smiled. "Look i'm-" "Ugh! Not again!" Josh used false annoyance. "Forget about it." He waved his hand. "Alright!" Byron roared grabbing Louise's arm. He then proceeded to drag her out of the dungeon and into the throne room. The other knights followed leaving Caitlyn and Josh back in their cells. "So... Nice weather on Earth?" Caitlyn asked causing Josh to sigh audibly.
"Let go!" Louise struggled out of her fathers grip. He let her go and turned to some nearby guards. "Have the demons sent back to hell by tomorrow night!" He ordered. Louise turned to him in shock. "What?! No!" He looked down at her. "I'm sorry but God ordered it to be so." The blonde glared. "Well then God should know that, that demon was one of my first knights! Look!" Louise screamed showing him the picture she always carried around with her. "Sweetheart... i'm sorry." Louise glared. "No your not. I always wanted to know my father... and you're not him!" She screamed before storming off. Aiden looked at her father before running after her.
Demetry turned to Lia and Byron. "Sorry, but this has been bothering me. But why is Josh's sister imprisoned here?" Byrin turned his attention to the green head. "She is the demon that killed the last angel of destiny.. Oriel." Daniel stepped forward with another question. "Why did the book bring us here?" Byron cleared his throat and licked his lips. "Before Oriel died she put a charm on it so that only an angel of destiny could open it. Which is Louise." The boys all looked at eachother the same thing running through their minds.
Aiden tried hopelessly to catch up to Louise as she stomped her way through the halls. "We need to get Josh and Caitlyn out of here." She said, mainly to herself. "Louise!" Aiden huffed and tried again. "Louise... Louiiiseee! Ugh! LOUISE!" He had finally caught up to her and grabbed her wrist. He pulled her arm to that he could pin her to the nearest wall. Now able to see her face he realised she was crying. His face softened and he reached up a hand to wipe away her tears. "Louise.. Look we'll get them ? And don't worry about your parents, you don't need them. You have us!" He smiled at her causing her to smile slightly. "Okay?" She nodded and he kissed her forehead. "I never said sorry for what happened back at the cabin." He looked down at her and smiled. "Nah. It's ok. I should be the one saying sorry."
"You know when Satan possessed you?" He asked quietly trying not to break the mood. She nodded, staring at him intently. "I was so scared that i'd lost you. Not just as a friend but... anything more than that. Louise..." She looked at him knowing what he was going to say. "I lo-" Louise cut him off by pressing a finger against his lips. "I know." She whispered smiling. He stared at he for a second before leaning in and placing his lips on hers. At first she was tense then she melted into the soft kiss. Aiden realised what he had down and pulled away. "Erm.." He coughed. "Sorry. Ermm... I have a plan on how to get Josh and Caitlyn. Come on." He grabbed her arm and pulled her away from the wall and further into the castle. All the time blushing without realising that she was too.
