"Okay, Sally." I sat down, cross-legged in front of the child. "What're we going to do today?" My hair was still wet, but I was clothed, so I'd gone off the play with Sally as I'd promised. She grinned. "Today, we're going to play tea party!" She walked over to her closet, getting on her knees, and pulled out a box. Inside was a set of toy china. "Alright, so, you're gonna be-" She'd started to explain, when there was a call from downstairs. "Shit! Guys, come here!" Sally and I dashed downstairs.
"What is it?" The rest of the group, everyone in the household, was staring out the window in awe. "People.." Ben muttered. "Wh-What?!"
"People."
Knock.
There was a feeling in my gut.
Knock knock.
Herobrine stepped towards the door, reaching for the handle.
"What the fuck!?" I found myself on top of him, pinning him to the ground. "Do not-open the door."
We were all at a standstill. Half an hour in. They hadn't moved, we hadn't moved. "I'll get the door." I spoke up. "Are you crazy? Jeff grabbed my shoulder. "We can't let them know you're here!" I turned, shrugging off his shoulder. "We can't let them know you're here." No one else tried to hold me back, though their eyes showed that they wanted to resist. I put my hand on the doorknob. I glanced over at the group, still sitting by the window. "Are they armed..?" Ben looked through the window once again. "Y-Yeah.. pistols." I swallow my fear, forcing it into the depths of the empty feeling inside me. I wouldn't be afraid. I slowly opened the door, giving the group of pastas a chance to scatter and hide in the house. Eventually it was open halfway, revealing a person-mortal. "Hallo, heb je niets gezien .." That was dutch. I only understood a little of what he'd said. "S-Sorry. Do you know any English?" The man blinked a few times, then cleared his throat. "Sorry." Man? He didn't look that old, actually. Maybe a senior? "I'm Arthur. I was wondering if you've seen anything odd around this area?" I shook my head. "No, why?" I stepped on my own foot. "We were given an anonymous tip about a missing person. Have you heard anything about Nix Spiritus?" I fought back from the flinch I would've given. "No, actually I haven't." "Oh, then let me explain.." He went on about when I was 'found missing' and how it's been nearly a year since I've been gone, though only one thing he'd mentioned really got me. They were a small scouting group part of the 'Creepypasta hunters.'
Shit.
"We've come to suspect the infamous killers of her kidnapping, you see."
Shit shit shit shit shit shit.
"Though, we haven't been able to find much evidence, we've been searching non-stop.
Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit shit.
"Awe, I'm sorry." I wasn't sure what to say. It didn't seem like this guy was leaving anytime soon. "May I ask, how you've found this place?" He adjusted his jacket, which matched the others a few paces back from his position. "As I said, it was an anonymous tip. He's said he 'Suspected suspicious lingerings and watches around the house, as well as hearing screams and breaking glass.'" I frowned."It's always the single house in the middle of the woods, eh?" I forced a smile, which he returned. "Yeah, I guess. Why'd you choose to live here anyway? The place seems pretty beaten up." I shifted, forcing myself to think of an excuse. "W-Well, I didn't want to hurt anyone." He rose a brow, and I mentally face palmed. What could I continue on from that? "Pardon?" I again gulped. "I-I'm schizophrenic. I know it's not real, but sometimes I can't tell. I'll get scared and throw things, yell, sometimes I try to run away. That could explain the breaking sounds.." He gave me a sympathetic look. "Oh, I'm sorry." He looked back at his group. "Could I step inside?" He began to push the door completely open. "I-I'd prefer you didn't.." I fought against his force, pushing on the door. "Oh, please, let me check around? They say these woods are haunted, y'know?" He pushed harder, causing me to loose my stance, allowing him to completely push the door open. He then signaled two members to follow. I panicked as they scanned the front room.
Time to play schizophrenic.
"No! Get out!" I fell onto my knees, hands on my head. "Wh-Miss.." A girl came over to my, trying to lay an arm around me. "No! Get out! It's coming back!" She flinched. "Get rid of it! Get rid of it Molly!" I fell onto my side. All three people soon came over to me. "Please, calm down.." "No!"I quickly stood up, and picked up a vase. "Get out!" I threw it near their feet, causing them to step back. "Get out! All five of you!" "Miss, please.." I picked up a lamp. The female glanced over at the Dutch leader, who nodded. "Alright, we'll leave." They soon backed out the door, and I kept the lamp in hand. They completely exited, and as soon as they were out of sight, I fell to the ground, panting. "Holy shit, Nix!" "Remind me to never piss you off." Soon enough a pair of arms were around me.
"Nix, you idiot!" My tension released. "What if they recognized you? What if they took you?" I smiled weakly.
"Well they didn't, Herobrine, did they?"
