"Lies!" The man slammed his hand down, shaking the table and creating an echoed 'bang'.
"Sir, honestly, none of them have done anything to me-" He slammed be across the face with a book, nearly causing me to fall out of the chair. I coughed, attempted to once again sit straight. "Now listen, princess, you either tell me what they've done, and what's happened." He leaned onto the table. "Or I'll knock it outta yah." I shook my head. "I told you, no one has done anything to me." He picked something up, which I soon realized was a book, and pounded me with it.
Well there goes my left eye.
"Sir," Someone spoke from behind the angry man. He paused, fist frozen in the air. "Sir, there's no need to hit her. The monsters probably brainwashed her or something-" "They're not monsters!" I pushed against my ties, but nothing occurred. The first man sneered at me, then once again rose his fist, swiftly moving towards my face-

"Sir, let us handle.."
"She's been out.. hours.. to do"
"I.."
The sound of a slamming door echoed through my aching head.
"Ey.."
"Hey.."
"Wake up."
My eyes shot open, and I rose a hand to feel my face. I'd forgotten that I was restricted.
"About time, you sleep well?" My head pounded at the sound of the woman's voice. I tried to fully open my eyes, but found that I was only able to open one. The left was swollen shut. I scanned the room, looking for the speaker.
"Jane?" I tried to stand up and move back, but then the thought of restraints returned. The thin woman turned, grinning. "It's about time you woke up." She brought a knife out from her pocket. "Now, listen here." She took a step forward. "You, honey, have gotten in the way of a major plan of ours." She took another step. "You're a big hurdle to jump, y'know. Quite annoying." She twirled her knife in her hand. "And, sometimes.." She brought the knife to my throat. "You have to knock the hurdle down."
