As Nepeta hurried home, Gamzee watched from his bedroom window to make sure she was safe. At least, for as long as he could see. He had hoped she would turn back around at some point for one final goodbye, but she just kept walking. When she had gone out of view, he grabbed his husktop, leaned against his recuperation pod, and messaged Karkat.

Gamzee stopped to think, it was true, he hadn't thought about how Equius would react. Either way Gamzee still wanted to love Nepeta, he didn't care about the consequences.

Even though Gamzee tried to act nonchalant while talking with Karkat, he was scared. He may be a higher blood, but Equius was an intimidating guy. Pushing his thoughts to the back of his mid, Gamzee drifted off to sleep in his pod.
