Shit's about to hit the fan, and believe it when I say it. Now, due to Cannon and fanfiction people have built certain beliefs about characters like Madara, Pein, and many more.

But I advise you to consider this story separate from Cannon. Way back before I started the fourth great ninja war, I mentioned that this story won't have pointless fights like shounen manga. There will be strategies, new technology, and many more things. Even the villains, (Nah, let's call them Rebels as they are opposing the ninja world) are smarter, stronger and have a brain.

And wow- 700,000 hits for this story. Now that's something...

Chapter 83

Attack of the Clones

(Konoha Border)

Madara could be seen standing on one of the branches of a tall tree, his sharingan was completely focused on the large barrier that was standing as an iron wall between him and Konoha. From the intel which Akatsuki had received through some inside sources, this barrier was said to be impenetrable to anyone except Konoha shinobi.

So, he could not go in as his chakra was not registered in the network. But he was not worried about this minor problem,

"Unit 1, Unit 2, Unit 3" commanded Madara, as 12 arc troopers (Blood Clones) came beside him instantly.

"Orders, Madara-sama?" asked the leader blood clone in a robotic manner, his voice devoid of any emotion.

Any conscience

Or any soul.

"I can see a small border patrol up there, and the main control station through which this barrier is controlled is another 5 kilometers away, on top of that mountain" directed Madara, surprisingly all the clones looked at the position in one swift movement.

"Black Zetsu, you are a genius. Not only did you remove their conscience but trained them to be in perfect sync with each other. These 50 are more than enough to take out hundreds of Konoha shinobi, but for now these 12 are enough to destroy this border patrol along with the barrier control station" thought Madara victoriously,

"Now I cannot go in that barrier, but you can since your DNA and chakra is similar to your original maker, who was formed from a very special Konoha shinobi's blood and chakra..." said Madara deviously, but the clones showed no hint of emotion or movement.

He had specifically made these masks for them, so that no one recognized these clones if they used their sharingan. And he needed to keep their real identity a secret for sometime, for both strategic and psychological warfare...just in case this lesson was not enough for the evil ninja world.

"Your mission is to infiltrate this barrier, eliminate this border patrol. Then you will proceed towards the control station and seize it as quickly as possible. Leave no survivors, not even if they are children...is that clear?" asked Madara seriously,

''Roger, Roger"

The unanimous response from all the 12 blood clones was enough to quell any doubt in Madara's mind regarding the execution of his orders.

"As soon as you seize the control station, disable the barrier so that I can infiltrate with the rest of the Arc Squad. After that, we will hit Konoha right when she's sleeping in this peaceful night. Our comrades will be hitting the rest of the hidden villages at the same time, while Pein will attack the Kages. In one single strike we will eliminate the entire top leadership of the 5 great ninja villages, while dealing significant damages to second and third higher commands along with the villages...

...with the loss of their Kages, and so much casualties the 5 great ninja villages will have to lay down their arms and surrender, even if a single village wants to resist they won't have enough soldiers to fight, as they just finished a great world war amongst themselves. In a way, our objective behind the fourth great ninja war was indeed accomplished" explained Madara proudly, and narrowed his eyes when the leader clone raised his hand.

"So, they do have some thinking capabilities? Whether they are emotional or mission analysis related remains to be seen..." thought Madara seriously,

"Madara-sama, the 5 kages are very strong and they will have their own protection details. Is one man enough to eliminate them?" asked the leader blood clone in a flat voice, making Madara sigh in relief.

"So, they only have thinking capability for warfare and mission parameters. I shouldn't worry, Zetsu never makes mistakes..." thought Madara,

"Pein is stronger than the entire Akatsuki combined. But you're right the Kages are strong and won't be alone...but Pein won't be alone either" said Madara darkly,

"Roger, Roger"

"Now, go...and remember no survivors" ordered Madara,

And the man watched happily as his soldiers jumped on some hawks and flew high in the air, heading towards their target.

(Border Patrol Squad)

Fugaku Uchiha was briefly scanning his nearby surroundings along with his patrol unit of 20 ninja. His squad was made up of Tobeketsu Jounin, Chunin, A Sensor, and some other Jounin.

His gaze shifted towards Hizashi Hyuga who just finished his own observation and came beside him.

"Captain Fugaku, this area seems clear..." said Hizashi calmly, but narrowed his eyes when Fugaku just glanced around.

"Something's not right, Hizashi. I feel a strange chill in the air..." replied Fugaku suspiciously, and activated his sharingan but could not find any enemy presence.

"It's nothing, Captain. Let's finish our shift and head back to the village. Maybe I'll train Neji for an hour or two..." said Hizashi happily, and it seemed to relax the head of the Uchiha Military Police.

"You're right. I need to train Sasuke too, the Hokage made the right choice by assigning a Hyuga and Uchiha, along with these many talented ninja for border patrol. We need to remain careful, even if the war is over..." suggested Fugaku, gaining a nod from his Hyuga comrade.

But before Hizashi could reply to his captain, both of them saw the sensor of their team- Yoshida Ikumi running towards them.

"Captain, I've sensed inbound signatures of 12 ninja. Their chakra levels are almost as high as Blacklight troopers, and they're not responding to our hails..." said Ikumi urgently, and Hizashi got a bad feeling when Fugaku's eyes widened in shock.

"Ikumi, the remaining 1st Blacklight company is stationed in Konoha right now. These ninja are definitely enemy forces..." warned Fugaku quickly,

"Sir, they're incoming. 500 yards and closing..." replied Ikumi nervously, as Fugaku gave Hizashi a quick glare.

"Hiazshi, contact Kwong Outpost. The Barrier Control Station must be warned..." ordered Fugaku, but clenched his fists tightly when Hizashi was unable to use his communication device.

"Something's jamming our signal, Captain. It's some kind of fuinjutsu..." replied Ikumi in fear, as sweat started to fall from the young 16 year old's face.

"We're caught out here in the open. Get the men off this area, retreat to Kwong Outpost now!" shouted Fugaku,

The entire squad immediately started dashing towards the Barrier Control Station. Tension could be seen on all their faces, but before they could even run beyond 100 meters they saw a giant hawk dashing above their heads, and within seconds 6 ninja with similar uniforms jumped in front of them.

Fugaku had just finished observing the lack of a headband on these ninja, when a torrent of kunai was unleashed from behind which brutally slaughtered 4 of his men.

"Behind us..." yelled a Konoha chunin, and just as Hizashi turned around, his head was sliced off by a fearless Blood Clone.

"HIZASHI!"

A fierce fight started happening between the two forces, but it was clearly one sided as one by one, the once 20 man patrol squad of Konoha was reduced to just 5 ninja, while the enemy soldiers hadn't lost a single one of their own.

"They're too fast, Captain!"

''We're getting slaughtered- GAH!''

Fugaku had to painfully ignore the cries of his dying men as he fired several kunai towards the charging enemy squad.

CLANG

The Uchiha was shocked when all of his weapons were just deflected by a single enemy soldier with a simple sword. What kind of unit was this?

Regardless he performed a few set of hand seals and gathered a large amount of chakra...

"Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu(Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu)"

Fugaku fired a giant fireball towards the incoming enemy troops, while his remaining 3 men fired their respective ninjutsu towards the enemy troops approaching from the back.

Fugaku could not believe his eyes when the enemy troops sliced his giant fireball in half with their swords. His eyes urgently shifted towards his back only to see his last 2 Jounin shinobi being stabbed by the enemy.

"Forgive me, Sasuke"

With all his strength he charged towards the enemy soldiers, one of them tried to stab him with a sword...but Fugaku was not the Head of the Uchiha Police Force for nothing. He gave a sickening punch to the man's chest that sent him sailing away.

His sharingan spotted 2 more shinobi about to pierce his back, so he jumped high in the air and delivered roundhouse kicks knocking his assailants away.

Fugaku grunted in pain when 1 enemy trooper stabbed him in the chest, while another pierced his legs.

He gave one last murderous glare to the enemies, and with all his remaining strength charged straight towards one of them roughly grabbing the soldier's skull.

"FOR KONOHA!"

The soldier's skull was mercilessly crushed by Fugaku, but the man was shocked when the enemy just dispersed into a pile of blood.

"A clone?"

Fugaku's dead body collapsed on the ground as the remaining 11 Blood Clone troopers brutally stabbed him all over his body.

As the last Konoha shinobi fell dead on the ground, the remaining Blood Clone Squad encircled around their leader, who just finished removing his sword from Fugaku's heart.

"Captain, the enemy forces are neutralized. Should we proceed further?" asked a Blood Clone Trooper obediently,

"Leave the bodies here, no need to hide them. Let's go to the Barrier control station right now, get moving!" commanded the leader Blood Clone trooper,

"We lost 1 of our own...the mission parameter-" suggested another Blood Clone but was silenced when the leader raised his hand.

"Casualties are irrelevant. We are just clones, we are expendable"

And with those harsh but true words, the deadly Blood Clone Troopers charged towards the Control Station...

(Kwong Outpost- Central Barrier Station)

Squad leader Tatsumi was just observing the reports of the past few hours, things had finally seemed to settle down. The war was over, Konoha was safe and with the new barrier system in place they might as well be called impenetrable.

Looking at the faces of her 4 young soldiers made her smile a little. These kids were barely between 15-20 years old, and yet they were skilled in Fuinjutsu. She herself was only 24, a young adult and for the first time in many years she enjoyed being responsible for such a task.

This outpost was under the leadership of Captain Iwashi Tatami, she had heard he was a part of the Blacklight special forces. Tatsumi knew she was good at fuinjutsu, but that man's creativity and skill in this difficult art were miles ahead of her. Within days of being appointed Captain and provided a few resources, Iwashi made this barrier.

No outside ninja would ever be able to attack Konoha, if it were up to her she would have given the boy a medal.

"Hey, Yuna...I'm thinking of going out for the new movie that launched this week? Wanna join me?" asked Kentaro cheerfully, he was a young 16 year old Jounin with light brown hair and stark blue eyes. And he was the most cheerful person among the squad.

"The one with starring Koyuki Kazahna?" asked Yuna Namikaze. She was a 15 year old Tobeketsu Jounin with pretty silky blonde hair and light hazel eyes and a flat shaped face like the other people of her clan. She was one of the prominent members of the Namikaze clan due to being Minato Namikaze's niece, and the cousin sister of Naruto and Itachi Namikaze.

Kentaro always wondered why he never came to knew about her...

"I'm not interested in such stupid movies, specially those princess types" said Yuna in a flat respectful tone,

And just like that Kentaro got his answer, despite being a reputable clan- The Namikaze's were a mysterious family, who were happy with just themselves. Of course there were a few exceptions like Naruto and Minato, but most of the other members of their clan always tried to stay out of the village politics, or lavish lifestyles of some other clans like Hyuga, some might even say the Namikaze were a 'peaceful clan'

"Shouldn't you be looking at your sectors, Kentaro?" asked Daisuke in a bored voice. He was a young 19 year old boy, with light grey hair and had a simple oval shaped face with a shiny set of goggles covering his eyes. Yuna couldn't stop a small giggle when Kentaro grunted in displeasure, it was a known fact that both the boys were not the best buddies, maybe it had to do with Kentaro's affection for her and Daisuke having a bad timing like always.

"Yeah, let's take a look...what do you know? All clear..." said Kentaro sarcastically,

"Kentaro, you should be more vigilant of your sector..." advised Daisuke, and the rebellious younger boy didn't like the advise.

"It's the same fucking thing: Sector Clear, like the last 50 times I checked during the past 1 hour..." said Kentaro in an annoyed tone, and Yuna saw sparks flying between the two boys, and they weren't exactly friendly.

"Alright, you two. Drop the bravado, we still have 2 more hours left in our shift. Let's do our jobs properly, and Kentaro if you focus I might just go out for that movie with you...so focus" said Yuna in a kind yet strong voice, and Daisuke smirked when he saw Kentaro focusing on his sector with great attention.

"How do you that? He never listens to me..." said Daisuke curiously, gaining a small smile from Yuna.

"Kentaro's a moron, but he has a good heart. Just go easy on him, Daisuke" requested Yuna, as her older friend sighed tiredly.

"I just want what's best for him...even if he's a pain in the ass" said Daisuke shyly,

"I heard that..." chipped Kentaro, making Daisuke's eyebrows twitch.

"See..."

"Attention, squad leader on deck!" said Mitsuo, a young 17 year old boy with dark red hair. He was an orphan who had previously served in the commando unit under Shisui Uchiha, and had been selected as one of the guards for this outpost.

All 4 soldiers, including Mitsuo stood in attention as squad leader Tatsumi stepped beside them, her veteran eyes keenly observing each and every one of them.

Tatsumi was once a part of Intelligence Unit and served for a few months in the Strike Corps of the 3rd division under Kakashi Hatake. Her heroics in various battles with Yagura's forces had earned her quite a few medals.

'Rookies, this is one of the most important posts in the entire Fire Nation. We are the wall that defends Konoha, allowing our people to have a peaceful sleep at night..." barked Tatsumi, and the new Rookies did well to hide any kind of emotions from her. She was a hard ass bitch, after all...

"Squad Leader, our sectors show no signs of infiltration. Although Fugaku-sama's border patrol squad has delayed in their communication by approximately 5 seconds now..." said Yuna obediently,

"Maybe it's the wind that is causing interference..." suggested Kentaro, but got a harsh glare from Tatsumi.

"No excuses, Rookie. The only reason you got selected is due to your skills, and the fact that we don't have enough shinobi for this job- thanks to that stupid war. And if you value your job, then get me a secure line with Fugaku's squad in 2 minutes!'' commanded Tatsumi,

Daisuke smirked a little when poor Kentaro dashed towards his seat in a flash, and started trying to contact Fugaku's squad.

"Daisuke, Mitsuo follow me. The guard teams outside the station are having some difficulty in communicating with us...we've lost contact since with them since the past 2 minutes" said Tatsumi seriously,

And she was satisfied when her two squad members picked up their set of weapons. Yuna watched Daisuke and Mitsuo dashing towards the door, guess both of them wanted to live up to their leader's expectations.

But her eyes widened in horror when the door of the base slowly opened, as one of the Konoha guards fell dead on the doorstep. A small bomb was dropped on the floor stunning everyone, followed by a torrent of kunai fired at tremendous speed which hit the stunned Mitsuo straight in the head, while Daisuke got hit in the arms and legs.

"Enemy forces!" yelled Tatsumi urgently, as several strange armor wearing soldiers charged inside the station.

Yuna saw Daisuke trying to crawl towards cover, but the enemy was just inches away from him. Channeling chakra through her body she quickly shunshined towards her injured comrade, while delivering a upper kick to one of the enemy soldiers sending him crashing towards his other comrades.

"Nice kick..." said Daisuke a little painfully, his injuries were not life threatening but had indeed rendered him handicapped for now.

Before the enemy troopers could pounce on both of them, Tatsumi unleashed several smoke bombs effectively stunning the enemy troopers.

Yuna hurriedly dragged Daisuke towards the control room, where Kentaro quickly took over the injured boy. And the young Namikaze turned back again to assist her squad leader...

"Tatsumi Taichou..." said Yuna hurriedly, and saw her leader stabbing a enemy trooper through his chest.

"Inform Konoha about-AH!"

Kentaro and Daisuke freezed in terror when the 'stabbed' enemy trooper backhanded Tatsumi making the woman fall on the floor, and quickly stabbed his sword in her skull before disappearing into a pool of blood.

"Tatsumi..." said Yuna in shock, she couldn't believe her strict, strong squad leader was murdered right in front of her like a dog.

Kentaro saw the enemy troops firing several kunai towards the shocked Yuna Namikaze, and quickly sealed the door of the room. Daisuke passed a few seals from his pocket which Kentaro effectively placed on the door.

"That'll stop them for a few seconds..." said Kentaro in relief,

But the trio was surprised when the door started cracking quickly...

"Who the fuck are these guys?" asked Daisuke worriedly,

Yuna quickly regained her senses, and saw the cracks on the door. Her eyes shifted towards her remaining 2 comrades, one was injured while the other was good at genjutsu and fuinjutsu.

Whatever those soldiers were, they were stronger than her. The door would collapse within 20 seconds, and she had to make a choice...

Kentaro was shocked when Yuna fired a kunai straight into one of the Control Boards, effectively destroying the electricity in the entire room as well as the base.

She hurriedly rushed towards a nearby air vent shaft, and signaled her two comrades to follow her...

"This way, hurry!'' yelled Yuna urgently,

"No, we can-" said Kentaro desperately, but Daisuke gave him a harsh glare.

"There's too many of them. Yuna has shut down the electricity supply, that'll stop them from tampering with the barrier. And since the station's down, Konoha may sense something is wrong...Captain Iwashi will be arriving here from his routine patrol in a few minutes, we need to survive till then." explained Daisuke hurriedly, as both the boys limped towards the air vent shaft.

Kentaro and Daisuke quickly entered into the shaft, as Yuna followed them after shutting the air vent shaft. She heard the door of the control room being blasted as her fists clenched tightly, with only one thought running through her mind...

"Rookie or not, we are getting our post back!''
