Yo..

Previous chapter was quite intense and has set the path for the future plot of this story. I won't disclose anything, but everything is going as per the script I formed, and there are quite a lot of twists planned ahead.

I stated it from the beginning of this story, that Naruto might very well be the "destroyer". Now that word has many meanings, and I'll leave it up to you to interpret them according to your own logic.

Enjoy the chapter...

Chapter 88

Namikaze Naruto

"The longer you live, the more you'll suffer. One by one the people you love will die, and you won't be able to do anything...it is the fate of those cursed to live in the corrupt ninja world"

Those words ran across his mind, as he looked at his deceased younger brother. He saw the tears and cries of his mother as she tightly held Itachi in her arms, the grief, the pain, the anger clearly evident in her eyes.

"There are no victories, no defeats...but only pain"

Looking at the scene in front of him proved Pein's words which he had told Naruto, when he joined Akatsuki.

The sounds of explosions, cries could be heard across the entire village. The giant Kyuubi could be seen rampaging, with the Blacklight members trying their level best to limit the damage, but this was the strongest Biju of their world.

"Protection of the village will lead to protection of people, shinobi and children"

His gaze shifted towards the bodies of his clansmen, Iwashi's corpse, while Hashirama's words resonated in his heart. Wasn't the village supposed to protect these people? These ninja had sacrificed everything to protect the village...and yet people were still dead, shinobi were being killed and children like Itachi were sacrificed.

"Conflict and violence is the foundation of the ninja world"

Tobirama's belief was indeed proved to be correct in the end. No matter what he did, no matter how much he suffered, sacrificed, the end result was still the same.

He inherited the "Will of Fire" of Konoha...

Shouldered the responsibility of his clan...

Stood between the conflict of the village and the ninja world...

Even killed his own comrades and innocents for the sake of the village...

Was forced to endure the worst suffering but still continued to keep an eye on Akatsuki to protect the village...

And finally watched his little brother die to protect the very same village...

"N-Naruto..."

Mikoto saw his tears drying up, his fists clenched tightly as chakra started enveloping his entire body. Naruto's Mangekyo shined brightly in the darkness of the night as he looked at his brother...

"A world of only victors, A world of only peace, A world of only love...I will create such a world, Itachi" said Naruto coldly, his voice devoid of any emotion.

There was no anger, no sadness, no agony...just emptiness.

Without another word, he got up from the ground and started walking away. Mikasa was shocked when he didn't even show a hint of emotion on seeing her, and just continued to walk ahead.

Her gaze shifted towards Mikoto who was too much shocked to say anything to Naruto, or even to herself...

"Naruto, where are you going?" asked Mikasa hesitantly, not sure of what to say to him.

She flinched a little when he stopped walking and just gave her a uncaring glance...

"Mikasa, it just isn't possible for us...to reach that pipe dream of a peaceful ninja world" said Naruto seriously, making Mikasa take a step back.

He wasn't going to restart his original plan, was he? The plan which he had put on hold hoping the ninja world might restablize itself and head towards peace.

"Naruto, you-"

"It may have been brief, but it was fun...Mikasa" said Naruto honestly, and with every second Mikasa got a real bad feeling spreading across her heart.

As if he was finished with her and the ninja world, he turned around and started walking ahead but she was not done yet,

"So long..."

"Naruto, you aren't giving up...are you? You've gotten to the same point as me-"

Her plea was cut short when he averted his eyes from her and instead settled for looking at the rampaging Kyuubi ahead of him.

"You know nothing..." said Naruto bitterly, his cold voice full of venom.

"Naruto..."

"I truly wish it didn't come to this. My brother was killed due to this cursed ninja world, while your family was slaughtered due to this very same system..." said Naruto seriously, and this time Mikasa had to avert her eyes due to the truth behind those words.

After all, her family was indeed killed due to atrocities that were regularly committed in the ninja world, in it's mad quest of power.

"So, there's no need to show our guts to this corrupt system...it's time we destroy this world, Mikasa Ackerman" said Naruto darkly,

His deadly eyes sent shivers down her spine. That cold, murderous glare was the worst she had seen in any human till this day...

"I'm...Namikaze Naruto"

With those words, he disappeared inside his pocket dimension. And in that moment Mikasa Ackerman truly understood the meaning behind awakening of the Rinnegan truly signified.

(Hokage Tower)

Hiruzen was just about to question the blonde blacklight girl in front of him, when another person appeared on the roof. And Jiraiya was completely terrified on seeing the person's left eye.

The injured Madara also noticed the look in Naruto's eyes, it was the same look which he had when he lost his own light.

"Naruto, thank god you're here..." said Rangiku happily, and went towards him.

A powerful wave of chakra sent Hiruzen, Jiraiya and Rangiku sailing a few meters away. Their shocked eyes shifted towards Naruto, did he just attack them?

Madara straightened himself and was now standing in front of Naruto, and what happened next completely surprised him as well as the Konoha ninja on the roof.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHA!"

A low chuckle escaped from Naruto's mouth, which slowly started to transform into a loud laughter before finally converting into a full blown maniacal laugh.

Rangiku didn't know what had happened, but she had never seen him like this. Behind that laugh was a lot of pain and anger, it was a thousand times more than what she had seen during Armin's funeral. She could not feel a hint of warmth from Naruto, but instead she felt something sinister...something evil.

"What happened to Itachi?" asked Madara curiously, knowing very well what the answer might be.

"My little brother ended up dying from the wounds you gave him, leaving me powers to change this corrupt world..." said Naruto seriously, shocking Hiruzen, Jiraiya and most of all Rangiku.

She was the only one here who understood what Itachi truly meant to Naruto, that little boy was the first bond which Naruto made. The first person whom Naruto loved, protected, and the last link that was keeping him sane...and with him gone, it only meant one thing.

"I'm offering you a chance again, if you truly want to protect these people then surrender" warned Madara,

"Don't listen to him, Naruto. Surrendering now would be meaningless, it would be an insult to Itachi's sacrifice..." pleaded Rangiku, and gulped nervously when he gave her soul terrifying glare.

"Meaningless? Then why did Itachi die?" asked Naruto angrily,

And for that question neither Hiruzen, Jiraiya or even Rangiku had any answer. Madara was extremely pleased on seeing the defeated look in the Konoha ninja's eyes, but was indeed alarmed when Naruto started gathering a large amount of chakra while giving him a murderous gaze.

"Before my time is done, Madara. I will rip your soul to shreds, you wanted a war...then you've got one" threatened Naruto, making Madara sigh.

"I can never tolerate you anyway...so be it" said Madara seriously, and disappeared inside his pocket dimension.

Rangiku sensed the chakra flowing in Naruto's left eye, all this time Naruto was afraid of his new power. Afraid it might harm others around him, so he had prevented himself from using it. But she knew that despite having little idea about its destructive powers, Naruto could indeed wreck havoc over the village and the world with it.

And right now, he didn't seem to care about anything...

Her fears were proved correct, when Naruto started rising up in the sky. First a few inches, then a few feet...

"Wait, Naruto. You're not planning to do that, are you?" asked Rangiku worriedly,

"Do what?" asked Hiruzen loudly, unaware of the boy's capabilities.

"Unless this world feels pain, there can be no peace. It's time I use my power to end this madness, once and for all..." declared Naruto, and started moving towards the Kyuubi on which Madara could be seen standing.

Rangiku quickly dashed towards Jiraiya, as she understood just what Naruto was about to do.

During her training sessions, he had talked about a few abilities of his power. Even showed one of them, he was a novice but with so much chakra inside his body, and the burning anger as well as hatred inside heart...the destruction would be immense.

"Jiraiya-sama, put up a barrier around Konoha immediately. Hiruzen-sama, you need to come with me now..." said Rangiku urgently,

"What is going on, girl?" demanded Hiruzen, and was further confused when Jiraiya instantly agreed with the order given to him.

What Hiruzen didn't know was the fact that Jiraiya had seen that eye in the past. Albeit a bit different in shape and color, but yet it possessed the most destructive power in the world. And right now it was going to become the weapon of an extremely grief struck boy...

"There's no time, Sensei. Do as she says, I'm forming up a barrier right now..." said Jiraiya hurriedly, and even started performing the hand seals.

Despite having a lot of questions, Hiruzen decided to trust his student and started running after Rangiku who was jumping through rooftops at great speed, while her eyes were still fixed on Naruto who was going higher in the sky...

"Naruto, what do you intend to do?" yelled Hiruzen loudly, but there was no response at all.

"Hiruzen-sama, order all of our forces inside the perimeter. Nobody gets out..." requested Rangiku, and didn't flinch when Hiruzen glared at her.

''Will you tell me what is going on. This is an order from your commanding officer!" shouted Hiruzen furiously, when Rangiku suddenly stopped running.

In a quick movement she appeared in front of Hiruzen, grabbed his collars roughly and slammed him into a nearby wall. The veteran Kage saw fear, desperation, anger clearly evident in the girl's eyes...but he just didn't know why she was so nervous?

"If you don't get our forces inside this barrier, then you won't have any ninja left to defend Konoha" threatened Rangiku, and gave Hiruzen her most ferocious gaze.

She knew she could probably get executed for such an action, but it would pale in comparison to what Naruto was about to do. Her lover had completely lost it tonight, and it was up to her and the remaining Blacklight to protect Konoha and its ninja.

Not from Madara or the Kyuubi.

But from Naruto himself.

Hiruzen looked into her eyes for a few seconds, but she didn't relent. He remembered Jiraiya's words, and begrudgingly took out a small flare from his pouch.

Rangiku sighed in relief when a bright red flare was launched into the sky, and slowly the Konoha forces started falling back. Those who were not willing to fall back, also had to obey when a giant purple colored barrier started forming around the entire village.

She put her finger on her communication device...

"Genma, pull all the Blacklight back inside the barrier..." ordered Rangiku,

"But Naruto is going out, and he's fucking flying!" argued the Blacklight commander,

"Fucking do it, you idiot. Or I'll kill you myself..." shouted Rangiku furiously,

Hiruzen anticipatedly waited for any kind of response. And when it seemed the Blacklight commander was not going to obey, the device blinked again...

"Alright, but what the fuck did Madara do now?" asked Genma worriedly,

Rangiku's gaze shifted towards Naruto who passed through the barrier and was now heading straight towards the Kyuubi. She could still feel the killing intent radiating from him.

"So, you're set on doing this, Naruto" thought Rangiku sadly, as she placed her finger on the communication device.

"I fear Madara just awakened a sleeping monster and filled him with rage..."

(With Madara)

Standing on top of Kyuubi, Uchiha Madara felt a strange feeling in his heart on seeing his opponent approaching towards him. The fact that he was flying and the hatred leaking from his heart was far greater than Madara's own were quite dangerous.

Despite the circumstances, he sympathized with the boy. This step was necessary after all...

And now it seemed Naruto was hell bent on destroying him and the ninja world...

"Will you destroy everything that the Akatsuki has accomplished till now, Naruto?" asked Madara bitterly, after all his plan was to create an ever lasting peace...while Naruto would just destroy everything that came in front of him.

And his fears were indeed proved correct, when Naruto just glared at him while standing a few meters away from the Kyuubi...

"Nothing will come of us battling each other. It will only hurt the peace which we want to create..." argued Madara,

"You know nothing, Madara..." said Naruto furiously,

"I don't want to kill you, Naruto" replied Madara hesitantly, as a small smirk came on Naruto's lips.

"Are you saying that you can kill me so easily?" asked Naruto bemusedly, and was surprised when a conflicted look came in Madara's eyes.

"No, I'm saying that I understand your pain..." said Madara sadly,

BOOM!

Powerful gusts of chakra destroyed the nearby trees as a monstrous killing intent spread across the entire area...

"I don't CARE anymore..." said Naruto stubbornly, making Madara sigh in defeat.

"So be it..."

Naruto lifted his hands towards Kyuubi as Madara summoned a large battle fan from his pocket dimension...

"Here I come, NARUTO!"

"Come, MADARA!"

At that moment, the destiny of the ninja world had changed forever...
