it's been too long guys, too long. I've had writers block for forever, but I am cured. here, enjoy this:

First day of junior year. Very nervous. Very excited. Hoping that they didn't destroy this school for once. Hoping no monsters attacked. Hoping that they could pass for regular mortals, that their godly parents didn't show up and surprise them in their half godly form when they were at least fifteen feet tall, as they did last year. Those were the thoughts our heroes were thinking as Sally drove them to school.

Hazel didn't know what was going on most of the day, and she couldn't tell anybody. How do you explain that? "Oh, hi, my name is Hazel Levesque. I just casually died in the 1940s and am new to the twenty first century. Would you mind explaining what an SAT is?". Piper was hoping nobody caught on to her last name. What would one do in that situation? "McLean? Like, the McLean! Oh my God! Can I get an autograph?" "Oh, no, sorry. See, my dad doesn't know that I'm not in the middle of nowhere in Arizona right now. Hell, he doesn't even know my mom is Aphrodite!" Annabeth was hoping that this school was spider-free. She did not want to be thought of as the girl who screamed at the sight of a tiny bug. "KILL IT! KILL IT! PERCY! KILL IT!" "Annabeth, it's the middle of math class, would you mind not screaming?" "Oh, sorry, see- KILL IT!- my mom is Athena, which means all spiders hate me and my siblings. I had a confrontation with their mom, Arachne, this summer, after which I fell into Tartarus with Percy, then saved the world with the rest of the crew. Anyways, turns out she was watching me all my life? Yeah, it was awkward. Anyways, she promised me certain death and told her children to kill me. They failed, but it only increased my fear. Now, KILL THE SPIDER!"

The boys all had the same thought: anti-school destruction. It would be hard, but they could do it. Leo wouldn't set anything on fire, Frank wouldn't break, like the foundation of the school or something, Jason wouldn't cause any massive thunder storms, and Percy would try not to cause a tidal wave of tap water.

They had arrived. They were in all the same classes since Goode didn't offer any honors courses, which greatly disappointed Annabeth.

It was the middle of first period- foreign language, Latin- when the first mishap occurred.

"Perce, can I borrow a pen?" Jason whispered to Percy.

"Oh, yeah sure." Percy responded while handing him one.

"Thanks- Percy. Really."

"What?" Percy asked. Jason handed him the pen back. Riptide. "Oh. Wait, watch. Annabeth figured this out in- you know."

Jason nodded then watched as Percy uncapped Riptide but then put the cap on the back before it could sword-ify itself. "How long have you had Riptide?"

"Five years, maybe." Percy said.

"And Annabeth figured this out because you've never tried to write with it."

"Well, yeah."

"Boys!" Their Latin teacher, rather rudely, cut their conversation in half. "Is there something you'd like to share with the rest of the class?"

Jason and Percy sheepishly shook their heads.

...

The second mishap occurred during lunch.

"Woah. Wait. Guys, look over there." Piper cut into a discussion of whether cheese or milk was healthier. "Is that? Oh gods, mom?"

"Ha, looks like you got a visitor, Beauty Queen." Leo said.

"I hope no one else came." Annabeth muttered. "Last year was a nightmare."

"Oh, there you are!" Aphrodite chided as she walked through the crowd of very confused teenagers toward the Seven. "I came for all of your parents! They all say hello. Oh, and Percy, Athena says to not-"

Annabeth gave Piper a look that screamed stop her! "So," Piper cut in. "Why'd you come?"

"Oh, just to say hello!" The goddess responded.

"Okay, well I think you should go, because we might get in trouble." Piper attempted to get her mother to leave.

"Why? Oh, fine!" Aphrodite got ready to dematerialize. "Oh, but before I go, Leo, I am truly sorry for what is to come." She left.

Everyone looked toward Leo, confused. "Calypso..." He muttered. "No."

"What? Calypso? Is Ogygia why you were gone so long?" Jason asked, the myth coming back to him.

So Leo explained, and he also explained how he promised to go back for her.

...

Thankfully, the rest of the day was mishap free. This was going to be an interesting year for them.
