YES IM WRITING THIS THERE IS NO STOPPING ME LETS DO THIS
"Cara." Annabeth told her school's matchmaker. "I have a boyfriend. We've been going out for two years. I'm not interested in Jake or Makr or Con-"
"Where is this boyfriend then?" Cara asked Annabeth, who was trying to escape the conversation in the middle of the school hallway.
"He's in New York." Annabeth said, walking over to her grey locker, opening it. It was sea-green on the inside, a little reminder of Percy who was back in New York. She pulled out her chemistry book and shoved it in her black schoolbag, which was full to the brim with pointless books. Of course, they weren't pointless to Annabeth.
"Yes, but we're in California, Annabeth. He doesn't have to know." Cara complained. "If 'he' even exists." She muttered.
"Yes, of course he exists. And no, I am not cheating on my boyfriend!" Annabeth slammed her locker door shut.
"Annabeth!" Cara raised her voice. "I have four boyfriends right now. Surely, a smart girl like you can handle two. Especially when one is New York."
"No, Cara!" She spotted Piper in the hallway, walking past. "Piper!" She called.
"Oh, hey." Piper walked over to Annabeth, and then saw Cara. "Oh. Hi." Everyone knew that Cara was a slut. She had four boyfriends, at least, at all times. She did things with her body that girls their age weren't supposed to be doing. She dressed in short, tight clothing, and made sure her breasts were showing at all times. Neither of the girls really liked her.
"Piper." Cara didn't like Piper either; she didn't have to work to get boys to like her. They went head-over-heels for her at the sight of her. In fact, it almost seemed as if Piper tried to get boys to not like her.
"Pipes, Cara's doubting Percy's existence." Annabeth said.
"What? Cara, Percy Jackson is completely real. In fact, sometimes, we wish he's not, but he is. Just those times when he and jason and Leo and Frank get all boyish..." Piper realized she was getting off track. "Oh. Point is, he's real."
"Whoa." Cara said. "Percy Jackson? Like, the one that was accused of killing his mother and then running across the country, only to be found in LA? Now you're totally making things up."
Piper's eyes widened. "I'd forgotten about that! Wow, that was Percy... wow."
"Yeah," Annabeth said. "But remember the girl that was with him, Cara? That was me."
"So you and your fake boyfriend are criminals?" Cara asked, backing away.
"No, Cara." Annabeth said. The bell rang. "We have to get to class now."
Six hours later, the school day had ended. Piper took the bus back to her dad's place, and Cara was still harassing Annabeth about finding a new boyfriend. "Come on," She insisted. "You're pretty enough to pull it off. Jake already said he's interested in you-"
"Please, stop Cara." Annabeth begged. "I am not cheating on my boyfriend."
"Cut the crap, Annabeth. You don't have one."
"Fine. Will that get you to stop?"
"No."
"Ugh!"
"I want proof."
"I don't have any!" Annabeth complained. "You'll just have to take my word for it."
"No! Proof!" Cara demanded.
"I'm going home." Annabeth walked toward the bus station.
"Hey!" Called an all too familiar voice. "Where are you going, Wise Girl? I'm personally offended you didn't notice me."
"Percy." Annabeth muttered. She turned around and started walking toward her boyfriend.
"Oh, you're kidding." Cara muttered, and ran to catch up with Annabeth. Annabeth got to Percy, and kissed him on the cheek. That was followed by an actual kiss from Percy.
"it's been, what, three months?" Percy asked, hugging Annabeth.
"Just about." She responded. "I've missed you, but at least I knew where you were this time."
Percy looked over at Mount Tam in the distance. "Isn't it a bit risky here?"
"Me and Piper got it. Besides, Camp's only a little while away." Annabeth said. "I'm very happy to see you, but why are you here?"
"Me and Jason and Frank got tired of threatening guys who hit on Hazel. So we came here with her."
"What about Leo?"
"Oh, you don't want to mess with Hazel if Leo's around. All Frank, Jason, and I do is threaten, we're somewhat scary when needed. Not Leo, no. One time, he set fire to this dude who wouldn't stop harassing her."
Annabeth laughed. "He's here, too?"
"Of course." Percy said. "It wouldn't be 'The Seven's Spring Break' without Leo."
"Wait, what?" Annabeth asked.
"We took the ship here. He's the only one that can drive it."
"Oh, yeah. Well, me too." She added. "Hey, where are the others?"
"Jason's at Piper's place, Frank and Hazel are at Camp, and Leo's in the car." Percy pointed back to the car. Leo was in the driver's seat, waving. Annabeth waved.
"Alright," Annabeth took Percy's hand and started walking back to the car. "Let's go."
Cara was standing there, mouth open wide. "What?" She yelled. "You have a boyfriend! And he's hot!"
"What's that about?" Percy asked.
"Long story. Tried to set me up with some people. Doubted your existence." Annabeth said.
"I'm hot?" Percy smirked.
"Don't let it go to your head, Seaweed Brain." They got in the car, and Leo drove off.
