Orre's Return: An Addendum
Created by Hollis Pierman, as a glossary and reference page to the story for any confusion brought during the reading
Thank you for taking the time to read this short paper and reference it if need came about. This paper will cover the first eight chapters of the story and condense it into five subjects, as listed below. Hope you enjoy and get a kick out of reading it.

PART I: Capitalizations in Different Places
You may have noticed that words strewn about the story are not capitalized where you think they should be; for example, the word "Pokemon", or words that identify a certain species are not capitalized in certain places, because the words are used to describe a single being in the species. Just in parallel to how I don't capitalize "Pokemon" in some places, the term "Animal Kingdom" is not capitalized in certain circumstances. This is because when capitalized like I just did, you would probably be talking about a kingdom where anthropomorphic animals ruled and Furry Quest was actually non-fiction. However, when the term is not written in title case it is used to describe the kingdom Animalia. When capitalized though, "Pokemon" can be seen two ways; one is used to identify a whole species, or a group of species (though there are places that, when necessary, species identified can be lowercase to describe a group as well, although the species name may be pluralized). The other is to describe a fictional branch of the Animal kingdom. So say I'm describing a single being in the species of "Scrafty". Here's an example sentence:
"The scrafty used Ice Punch against the hydreigon; the hydra survived, but was frozen shortly after."
Or, if you're planning on describing a horde of enemy scrafty in battle...
"The Scrafty Gang used Ice Punch in rapid succession, totally knocking out my hydreigon in one turn!"
Or, another example of talking about many of one species...
"The scrafties used Ice Punch, one by one against my hydreigon, knocking it out fast!"
Any introduction to the Pokemon movies is a great example of the explanation of the Pokemon kingdom.
Capitalization, for me, helps me in describing different things in different ways, such as species names used in the correct ways.
PART II: Character Names and Canonical Connections
Across the story, I have tried to connect regions only through the use of connections that Wes hears, but has no idea of where those regions are; so this phrase, "the greatest region in the world" may be a reference to a certain Pokemon-based comic series that's popular for its cheekiness and its difficulty on the protagonist. There are also many mentions of the Sinnoh region, and some unknown reasons as to how the pokemon of Sinnoh had gotten to Orre in the first place. I do mention that it's across the ocean, because it's literally across the ocean (according to 's Pokéarth Map), and judging how fast a boat like the S.S. Libra would travel, from there and back, it would probably take at least... oh, I don't know... 5 weeks? Maybe more, should the ship encounter problems *cough* XD! *cough* *hack* *choke*
Also, I do mention a lot of relevant trainers from Pyrite Town, such as Lon and Cain, because they are in fact citizens of the town of Pyrite. I also mention Professor Krane and make him a canonical character in this story, because he will basically serve to every one of Wes' needs, from healing pokemon to offering him supplies for nominal fees, and even to a portable computer to store and deposit pokemon at will. Because those are now somehow very few and far between. I'm not saying he's a slave, I'm saying he's more like Rui, but more useful, and he gets out of your way whenever you want to turn around... most of the time. Speaking of Rui, she will be gone in this story, but never forgotten. From time to time, Wes will remember Rui and the help she gave Wes throughout his first journey in Orre. They will occasionally send emails back and forth, but they will not be love interests towards one another in this story, in case any of you were wondering. And one last thing; Augustine Sycamore, the leading professor in the Kalos region, and Korrina, a gym leader in the Kalos region that specializes in Mega Evolutions and rollerblading, make appearances in helping Wes and Krane understand Mega Evolutions, and how they happen. Being as he doesn't have an explanation for why they happen when pokemon's hearts are closed off, he enlists the help of Korrina and Gurkinn. Korrina is a gym leader who aims to succeed her grandfather, Gurkinn, in becoming the Mega Evolution guru, so their help will be invaluable to Wes and Professor Krane.
PART III: Jump from Gen III Straight to Gen VI
I made the jump in the saga straight from Generation III to Generation VI for this story, because there are just so many possibilities for Shadow pokemon to snag and purify. I'll have to include more shadow pokemon within the story too... Anyway, there are also so many cool moves introduced in Generation IV, V, and VI that they're just too easy not to pass up the opportunity of using them in the story! From Dark Pulse to Brave Bird, and Flame Burst to Frost Breath, there are so many opportunities to use these as Shadow Moves, it's not even funny! Also, Wes will have a harder time cataloging all the Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos pokemon (as if he didn't already have a challenge cataloging all the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn pokemon), and determining new strategies with their movepools.
Also, some of his purified pokemon are still in his PC, and I promise to include every single shadow pokemon he's ever purified. And hey, if you send me the stats via screenshot, I might include a few custom purified shadow pokemon, just for the hell of it.
PART IV: Team Snagem and the Merging of Cipher
So I mention in the first chapter of Orre's Return that Gonzap had broken Evice out of prison, in exchange for merging Cipher and Team Snagem. What this really means to me is that I'm being sort of sympathetic for poor 'ol Gonzap and giving him a second chance, because he's sort of a big lovable oaf! However, when it comes to Evice, he wasn't so lucky anyway. The true head-honcho of Cipher (who if you already haven't figured out yet, it's Greevil) terminated Evice from his position and turned him back in. In exchange for what Gonzap did, he got to join Cipher as an admin. What more could you ask for? Anyway, not only was this beneficial for Gonzap, but some of the still-remaining members of Team Snagem joined Gonzap, including Wakin, Biden, and Agrev (Gonzap's wingmen of sorts). For them, it allowed them to stay busy, while still being around Gonzap. As you know already in Colosseum, before Wes blew up the Snagem Hideout, Cipher and Team Snagem had already merged in one way; they were trade partners. Cipher would provide the Snag Machines, while Team Snagem would provide the stolen pokemon to close the doors to their hearts, ultimately turning them into Shadow Pokemon. So, that's why I decided to completely merge Cipher and Team Snagem.
PART V: Inclusion of Mega Evolutions
I wanted to include Mega Evolutions because why not? They are seriously powerful, and in a universe with shadow pokemon, the seeming amounts of power they have boasts a serious threat to Wes, which I want him to have so he can overcome it! It's a little bit like Goku and Dragon Ball Z, whatever new obstacle is put in front of Goku, he finds a way to overcome it, usually with a new form. Also, instead of streamlining Wes finding all the Mega Stones, he's going to be able to buy them in shops for relatively cheap, because no one in Orre really knows what they're worth, except Wes and Cipher.
As one final side-note here, XD000 is the very-first prototype asked of Greevil. What pokemon species that will be used will be a mystery to you guys.
So, here's my insight and explanation for the first eight chapters of Orre's Return. I hope you continue to enjoy! New chapters will be coming soon, I promise! These past few years have really gotten to me, because I now finally know what I'm going to be doing in life!
