I also added the disclaimer I've forgotten to put in. As for MillyxKira and not KiraxLacus, let's just say it is the power of being lazy and that this is freaking fanfics. No need to freak out people.

Also, sorry for the really late update, I got lazy again and got caught up in my works preparations AP exams coming soon.

Chapter 9 Time Fly By Pt.2

Euphie was humming cheerfully as she was walking besides with Lelouch and Nunnally. She donned her disguise in public again as they walked through the park.

How funny is it that there's already a public picture of the one known as Princess Euphemia li Britannia.

Yet, no one noticed anything strange about her pink hair which was in a looser style compared to her normal appearance.

Funny, how a pair of glasses seemed to make a distinct enough difference from another person's appearance.

Cue a super-powered alien sneezing in an office building for a newspaper.

"So, where do you want to go first on our little excursion?" Lelouch asked his companions.

"Anywhere is fine as long as I'm with you." Nunnally replied.

Euphie smiled at this as she remembered when the three of them were small children playing without a care in the world. Childhood is a wonderful thing as it is something so innocent and pure from the corruption of reality.

Reality that those children would learn to face when they grow up, it is such an unfortunate truth.

It's a necessary evil in order for humanity as a whole to become stronger.

Euphie looked at Nunnally walking between her and lelouch with a cheerful smile on her face. Then she looked at her legs.

It clicked in her mind at that moment.

'I didn't notice it before since our reunion was brief. Nunnally is walking right besides us right?' Euphie thought.

"Euphie, is something wrong?" Lelouch asked worriedly when he noticed the stare in his half-sister's eyes.

That shook the pinkette out of her thoughts.

"Lelouch, I noticed something about Nunnally." She said in a low tone that held astonishment in it.

"What about me, Euphie?" Nunnally asked curiously.

"Nunnally, I didn't notice it before, but y-you're walking. I thought the best of Britannian scientists couldn't give you back your legs to walk with again." She said sadly and happily at the same time.

"It's because of Lelouch's new friends that I can walk and see again." Nunnally replied. "I'm grateful to them for helping me and my brother. I am able to see what my brother wanted to show me all these years and walk alongside him."

"Funny, how these things happened. At first, I tried so hard to search for a way to give you back your ability to walk and see. No matter where and whom I searched for, I just couldn't anything that could do the job." Lelouch started.

"For years after that man abandoned us in Japan, I've strived to make sure my sister's happiness would be taken care of. Over the years, my hope to bring her legs and eyes began to dim out as my hatred for the Britannian Empire grew. Then one day, people from other worlds showed up basically in my doorsteps asking me to join them to defeat Britannia. Hell, they even offered to help my sister for free." Lelouch chuckled at that last part.

"It's an incredible journey this couple of months has been for me, you know? Allying me with humans who are technically aliens in the eyes of the laws was certainly new. Making a stand against world power and come out on top. The war has started, but I am determined to see through the end and create the peaceful world I seek for my family. Nunnally, Sayoko, Milly and all my friends at Ashford, and that include you too, Euphie." Lelouch finished while making sure nobody else heard him besides his two sisters.

Euphie couldn't deny that so much is actually happening within a couple of months as the United Worlds Federation definitely got the attention of the entire world.

There is also the fact that Geass has been responsible for the existence of the Britannian Empire to continue for so long. During their little walk with Nunnally together, Lelouch had told her that his allies from other worlds didn't have an existing Britannian Empire.

She was surprised to learn that in other worlds that the 13 Colonies managed to defeat Brtiannia and became their own country due to foreign aid and interest. This country became known as the United States of America which is currently one of the modern military powers as it was in the Cosmic Era timeline.

While America became a powerful military presence, Britannia receded into back in its original island territories as simply a prosperous nation. Thought its military remained strong, it no longer held the title of a world military power as it had a few centuries before.

The pinkette considered it ironic that Britannia in other worlds would become the United Kingdom and eventually accept democracy while the monarchy holds no supreme power in the government.

This is very much opposite to her Britannia where hardly anyone will give citizens any say in the government.

She also learned that Washington's Rebellion would be known as the American Revolutionary War in the parallel worlds.

Lelouch had admitted that he found the history of his allies' worlds interesting. He even admitted his pleasure of reading over parallel Britannia's defeats over the course of history.

He was disappointed and not surprised that the Americans in their early days of expansion acted much like the Britannians had in his world though to a much lesser extent.

He really wished it was his Britannia suffering those defeats all those years ago when Washington's Rebellion had happened.

Aah, it would be funny to wipe the smug faces of Britannian nobles by showing these simple facts from other worlds.

Oh well, the past is past and it's time to move on to the future.

"Why don't we go to an amusement park?" Lelouch suggested.

"Which one, Lelouch?" Nunnally asked curiously.

"It's… Clovisland." Lelouch said with a hint of amusement.

Euphie held a hand to cover her mouth as she laughed a little. "I knew he boasted about naming an amusement park after himself, but I didn't think it actually existed. Sometimes, he is just too silly to seem like a serious person."

"It's unfortunate that Clovis is full of himself like many other Britannian nobles, but what makes him stand out is his flamboyant way of doing it." Lelouch stated without shame.

"Lelouch, please don't disrespect the dead so casually even if he did some terrible things." Nunnally chided her older brother.

"It's unfortunate that he became different from when we were all younger. He became crueler to those weren't Britannians." Euphie said sadly.

Lelouch sighed at this. "It doesn't matter anymore. Nothing can change what had already happened." He told calmly then smiled. "Enough of the depressing stuff, this is supposed to be a time to relax and have fun together. Let's see if this Clovisland is as good as he claimed it to be."

The three went on their way for a little bonding time for years that were lost.

In an underground city or what's left of it, were an army of moving giants.

Each giant moved in tandem as they each held their own beam rifle that also functioned as a spiked club. What's more distinct about these beings were that each of their head was like that of a cyclops.

Wreckages of Sutherland Knightmares were thrown around as the corpses of their pilots were dragged in piles toward one destination.

A single behemoth that resembled a Gundam with a giant head for a lower body watched over its army's activities. The Devil Gundam and its army had taken this secret city for itself.

Survivors of the city were flailing around and begging for their lives as they were dragged toward the Devil Gundam.

The humans were thrown into a pit made by the Devil Gundam.

There was no mercy as the Devil Gundam consumed them and remade these survivors in its own image.

The humans were painfully drained of what made them human physically and mentally for fueling their tormentor as their bodies and minds were reshaped.

Now, they are mere puppets that looked nothing more than metallic skeletons walking toward their mobile suits to pilot.

"Soon, the time is near to decide the fate of everything." The Devil Gundam stated as it peered at a stone structure in front of it.

At a first look, one would assume it to be a wall that could pass a door. This wall had symbols engraved all over it with no clear meaning if one had no idea of the power of Geass.

"The Ragnarok Plan is now our plan. It will serve its purpose to destroy humanity, but not in the way that you intended it too. Rejoice, V.V., for the Ragnarok Plan has ascended to a new height." The abomination proclaimed to a captured V.V. who is tied down to his knees in front of the Gundam in mechanical wires that seemed organic in the way they moved.

V.V. did not hear the Devil Gundam for he was unconscious and beaten to near death if it's possible for an immortal such as him.

"It is fortunate for Dark Axis that the Thought Elevator held a useful function to exploit." The Devil Gundam mused.

"Sigh… why are we here again?"

"Because Shinn, our friends asked us to… well escort them." Someone answered.

"In other words, we're just here to carry any shopping bags for them at the mall." Another person stated.

"Yes, that's the gist of it Kira." Athrun confirmed.

Currently, these three Gundam pilots are waiting outside a store in the mall for their friends.

This just happened to be the bane to every male that accompany a female to any mall.

Kira went because he is just too nice for his own good.

Athrun came along because he was asked nicely as well wanting to hang out with Kira.

Shinn wasn't going to say no to Lunamaria and possibly get hurt for doing so. Naturally, like any intelligent person, he said yes.

"How long has it been already?" Shinn moaned.

"Half an hour has already passed, so I'd say around that." Athrun answered after looking at his phone.

Needless to say, they were bored.

Who in their right mind actually enjoy waiting for something so trivial?

"Hey, we're back!" A voice rang out.

The three males turned to see the girls returned from the store they were shopping in.

The female group comprised of Milly, Lunamaria, Lacus, Shirley, and Meyrin.

The party would've been a little bit bigger if Kallen hadn't declined for looking after her mother and Nina who had a personal project she's working. Rivalz was able to escape since he had his part-time job as a bartender to attend to.

The mall the group is currently at is not much different than others, but still attracts people nonetheless.

"You girls got done with your shopping?" Athrun asked.

"Of course, I got this neat hat that I think will great with a certain costume." Milly answered as she held out said hat from out of her shopping bag.

Athrun turned his head to the others. "Now that we're done here, let's get going."

The others nodded as Kira, Shinn, and Athrun were handed some of the girls' shopping bags though they weren't a lot. Each of the girls had gotten a new pant, shirt, accessories, or even an entire outfit.

They walked to the food court for a little bit to eat.

All in all, it was a usual day unless you're a member of the United Worlds Federation ignoring the fact that your allies have already sent out a hunting party for a warmonger.

"So, what do you boys like to do in your spare time?" Milly started a conversation as she sipped her smoothie.

"I like to read or work on my own little mechanical projects." Athrun answered before taking a bite out of burger. Kira nodded since he knew of his friend's love for making robots no matter how small they seem to others.

"I usually like to walk in nature where it remained unchanged by human civilization." Kira answered while enjoying his ice cream.

"Hmm, why that?" Milly asked curiously.

Kira shrugged. "It's relaxing to me to be in a place whose beauty hasn't been spoiled by man's touch. Not alot people often take the time to appreciate what's already there. It's good for when you want to be alone in yourr thoughts."

"Wow, so you're a nature kind of person, eh Kira?"

"Somewhat."

Milly turned her head towards Shinn. "What about you, Shinn?"

"I guess my hobbie would be staying in shape and training myself in hand-to-hand combat." Shinn replied indifferently as he ate his burger.

"Shinn always preferred bringing the fight to his opponents up close. If you were to give him a gun he would just fire a shot to disable then he would go in to deliver a knockout punch or something." His girlfriend stated.

"I don't do that!" Shinn denied.

"No, but you fight like that. You always charge in most times as I recalled." Lunamarian said thoughtfully as she recalled the times she fought alongside Shinn Asuka.

Shinn agreed silently and reluctantly as he remembered his tendency to use the Anti-ship sword while piloting the Destiny Gundam.

'He does charge a lot in the Destiny Gundam.' Kira agreed mentally.

"So he's a hot-headed fighter." The blonde made her statement.

Shinn just huffed away as he ate his burger in silent.

"By the way, did Kira tell you?" Milly questioned with her eyes sending an unsaid message.

The group paused at this as they realized what she meant. "Aah... I see Kira told you." Lacus stated as she looked around in case there were unwanted listeners.

Shirley realized the topic as she remembered a Kira's confession from a few nights ago.

"I was against it, but I'm not one to shut up an innocent through any means necessary." Athrun admitted.

"I can see where you would want to keep a few certain secrets due to... circumstances. It'd be dumb to tell anyone that's for sure."

"Well, I'm just glad that you're quite understanding about it."

"I'm not gonna ask what you and your group is doing. I just want to know, why you're here personally." Milly phrased her words carefully as she watched for any nearby bystanders.

The teenagers from Cosmic Era timeline went silent at that and collected their thoughts.

"If anything, I'd say my reason would be like Kira's as I opposed selfish and pointless fighting." Athrun said bitterly as he remembered the end of one particular war.

"I'm mostly here to make sure Shinn stays alive." Lunamaria said softly with a smile as she clasped onto one of Shinn's hands.

Shinn returned his feelings by doing the same in return.

"I just don't like the discrimination that's happening here, so I decided to do something about it while I'm here." Shinn furrowed his brows in annoyance at some of the looks passerby were giving him.

"I detest violence at any level, but I will not stand down and wait for the fighting to end. I will help my friends end this so the world can experience peace for all." Lacus announced strongly despite her soft tone.

"I'm here so I can be with my sister and support her." Meyrin said her piece.

Milly couldn't help, but feel pity and admiration for her technically alien friends.

'They have such resolve to be on the battlefield. Was the war that Kira told me was truly that horrible?' Milly thought, her heart clenching at the thought. 'They're so young, yet they continue to fight for their loved ones with their own lives on the line. They're making a difference as I am just the daughter of a formerly noble family who's about to graduate.'

It is a horrible truth for someone like Milly whom treasures all her friends more importantly than some of them realized.

Yes, she considers Kira and his comrades her friends since she saw that they're all great people in their own way.

She is living a normal life that any average person would easily be content with. While she does this; Kira, Athrun, Lunamaria, Shinn, Meyrin, and Lacus are all part of a military organization fighting against the Britannian Empire.

This didn't sit right with her. They're only teenagers dammit! They should be enjoying their young lives to the fullest instead of fighting wars that will decide the fate of the world.

"Say… does any of this ever bother you?" Milly asked concernedly.

The others blinked at this as Athrun responded for the group.

"It does bother us from time to time." The Infinite Justice pilot started. "However, we have to remind ourselves that lives are on the line and that we should use the power in our hand to help bring conflict to an end."

"All of us know this at some point in our lives. This is why we're able to do what we can. It doesn't get easier though we are still able to move on." The pink-haired girl of their group said kindly. "It may not look like it, but all our struggles are just obstacles to overcome and achieve a better world that we all dream of being a reality."

"That's just how we humans are in the first place. It's only natural that we would persevere to make our dream a reality, especially for those that dreams for others." Lunamaria added.

"And it's our duty to make sure that those dreams do end up being true." Shinn finished as he recollected some memories during his early academy days for ZAFT military.

"All of are you really strong, you know that?" Milly gave them a genuine smile that showed her admiration for them. "Not many people can truly live those words to the same extent as you do."

"Milly's right, I'm also glad that you guys are still able to find peace with what you have to do." Shirley chimed in. "You guys are kinda amazing… most people our age would likely break down from doing the same things you guys are doing." Shirley said softly as she played a little with the straw in her drink.

The Coordinators gratefully accepted the words of their more recent friends.

Times and times again they would think about their battles and what they mean in the end.

Sometimes it get depressing, sometimes a huge burden was lifted off their shoulders.

All in all, they know they have to keep living in memories of those who perished in battles.

"Milly, what do you think about the United Worlds Federation?" Lacus inquired.

Milly put on a thinking face. "To be honest, I like the goals they have. However, I'm neutral as I have not met anyone in it besides you guys." Milly answered truthfully.

"But you know Lelouch, don't you?" Athrun inquired.

"What does Lelouch has to do with this?" Milly was confused as she pondered the strange question.

Athrun widened his eyes as has Kira.

Seeing this, Milly came to a conclusion that seemed very unexpected, yet likely at the same time.

"Wait, don't tell me…" The Student Council President started.

"He is working besides us if that's what you're thinking." Lacus answered.

"Eh?!" Shirley stuttered in surprise.

Lacus had met the boy in her spare time to get to know of the exiled prince. She was intrigued by his background and character. A boy who wears a mask so well that not many can quite grasp his true nature has a soft spot for his little sister.

Despite his cold, ruthless, and calculative side, Lelouch is still human enough to never go too far. It would seem that Nunnally's treatment has made the exiled prince a bit cheerful, but made him more cautious as to prevent a similar accident from happening again.

When they had met, Lelouch thought he was seeing his half-sister for a second before he realized her hairstyle was different.

Lacus saw a boy who saw through many hardships for his only family and suffered so much pain.

This saddened her as she knows that Lelouch went through so much like she and her friends have.

'No matter where we are, there is always suffering.' Lacus thought solemnly at the time.

Milly groaned in exasperation.

"I knew he was a strong-willed guy but this… this is just too much." The blonde lets out an exasperated sigh. "I guess it is to be expected since I knew of how he and his sister ended up here all those years ago."

Milly turned to face Shirley. "Shirley, we're going to have a long talk with Lelouch about keeping this kind of secrets, okay?" Milly said with no room for refusal.

Shirley, off put by this, only needed.

Meyrin checked her phone. "Guys, we've been here for a little more than an hour now. It's time to leave since we got what we already came for." The younger sister of the Hawke siblings told them.

The others complied as they threw away their trash in a nearby trash can. They left the mall with the guys carrying some of the girls' bags.

Milly was walking awfully close to Kira for his comfort.

"By the way Kira, you and I should get to know each other more."

"Hm?"

"I know about you guys' real past and all that, but I want to know more on a personal level." She explained. "We should hang out with just the two of us sometimes."

Kira nodded. "Sure, when I can find some free time, I guess we could do that."

"By the way, have you ever dated someone?" Milly asked curiously.

Kira flinched at the question. Memories from a few years started flooding back. A flash of pain appeared briefly in his eyes.

Having seen this, Milly was quick to apologize. "I'm sorry I brought it up. I'm guessing it has to do with that war you told me about?"

"Yes… I did kinda date this girl for a little bit. I've had a crush on hers for quite some time. After we got separated due to varying circumstances, I grew out of my crush phase as I didn't love her as I did before. I still see her as a close friend." Kira explained to her as he remembered the death of his first love, Flay.

(If you think about it, she wouldn't have gotten killed if Kira had not made it obvious to Rau that someone important to him was in the shuttle. Kira should have not prompted Rau to shoot her.)

"You're a very kind person Kira. I like that about you. We're going out for a date when we have time." She said with no room for argument before walking ahead of Kira who was caught off guard by that statement.

"A-aa date?! Wait, I didn't even agree to this." Kira protested as his friends snickered at this.

Lacus simply smiled at this. 'He really needs to get a girlfriend.' She thought cheerfully.

Kallen is in a room of the hidden UWF base for patients. She stood by a bed with the sleeping figure of her mother.

She looked worriedly at her mother as she thought back to all the things she thought about her.

'I can't believe I foolishly thought that about you mom.' She thought, frustrated with for not realizing it.

Kallen's mother had undergone treatment to remove the toxic materials in her body safely. It was a slow process since the neural system was in danger due to the drugs the woman had taken in for some times now.

Fortunately, her body is now cleansed of the illegal drug. A few weeks of rest would be required to determine if her body's neural system fully recovered.

Someone else had entered the room.

"I see your mother is okay." The new visitor said.

Kallen blinked slightly in surprise. "Aah, Lockon right?"

She bowed down for a bit. "Thank you for your advice earlier."

Lockon simply smiled and waved off her thank. "No need to thank me, I thought it was simply something you should know."

"No, what you did for me help me realize that I still have my family." She stated as she looked at her mother sleeping peacefully.

She turned toward the Gundam Meister. "By the way, I've been meaning to ask you. What happened between you and your brother?"

Lockon looked at her thoughtfully before sighing. "We didn't always get along, but we never resented each other. You see, my older brother and I were always similar in our looks, personalities, and skills. I was always getting compared to my brother Neil. I had enough, so one day I just… kinda left." He said forlornly.

He then started laughing bitterly. "I don't know whether it was just cruel luck or not. While I was away, my parents and little sister got killed in a terrorist bombing. I didn't feel anything but emptiness. I didn't understand Neil's desire for revenge until I met the bastard responsible myself. The terrorist also killed my brother four years before I became a Gundam pilot." Lockon finished.

"Oh my… I'm sorry you went through that." Kallen said apologetically.

"Don't worry too much about it, it's in the past now. My only regret was that I wished I had seen my brother face to face before he got himself killed."

"Ever wonder what he'd say to you right now?"

"Hehe, he'd sue me for stealing his old code name. That's would be the first he'd say to me." Lockon joked.

Notes

Now that I think about it, a lot of anime uses teenagers as main characters in ones that involve plenty of violence. As viewers or readers that's pretty awesome to us. In reality that's sad, since they actually fighting for their lives.

As fate certainly shown in the real world shown that not everybody lives a in happy ending. Akame Ga Kill, Code Geass, Naruto, Bleach, YuYu Hakusho, and alot of other manga and anime reinforce this point.

The little omake below was something that just so happened to pop up to me. Plus, the last part of the omake is something I realized that the Gundam characters might react if they connect the dots. Next chapter will be about some Chinese takeout in Asia. Eh, eh, eh? (Cricket sound in the background)

Screw you guys.

Anyway, it's time to conclude our friends' adventure in the Chinese Federation. There will be some painful butt kicking and deaths. Deaths will be obvious as there were not a lot of peaceful revolutions in any world of the multiverse.

Unfortunately, I did not have the time to include the little bits for building up KiraxMilly and HeeroxEuphie as I intended. I'll try to do so in the next chapter.

Explosions Are Fun

Lelouch was watching specific video on his laptop given to him by the United Worlds Federation.

The video was labeled 'Weapons of War'.

"Well, this can't be good." Lelouch thought out loud.

Throughout the video, it shifted through many different scenes and scenarios of pure destruction.

"For the rebirth of the ideals of Zeon. For the success of Operation Stardust! Solomon I have returned!" Anavel Gato declared as he fired a small warhead from the bazooka of his GP02A Gundam causing a massive explosion.

He saw the whole Axis base falling down to Earth, only to be stopped by the Psychoframe of Amuro's Nu Gundam.

He even saw the super weapon Libra firing on Earth and then being used in the same manner as had Big Axis in the After Colony timeline.

Next, he saw the full power of the Devil Gundam who became large enough to overshadow the moon and attack Earth out in space. The Gundam took on a united army composed of all mobile suits from all nations in the Future Century timeline.

Then, he witnessed the usage of Genesis, Messiah, Requiem, and Cylcops System in the Cosmic Era timeline.

Lastly, he saw the Memento Mori turning an entire kingdom in the Middle East into nothing more than a crater by running on solar power.

Lelouch's thoughts were, "What the hell is wrong with these people?! Damn it's scary that these universes just keep getting better at creating weapons of mass destruction." He exclaimed in horror.

Meanwhile, Kira Yamato was walking around the city with his best friend.

"So Kira, what did you think of Nina's theory for almost limitless energy?" Athrun asked.

"I think it's something interesting and certainly would be beneficial if used to supply energy for everyone." Kira replied.

Athrun stopped walking as if he realized something.

"I just noticed something about Nina."

"What would that be?" Kira asked curiously.

"Her last name was Einstein right?"

"Yes, I believed she said it was so." Kira confirmed.

A moment of silence passed between them.

"Wait… limitless energy and Nina's last name is Einstein." Kira started.

"Who just so happened to be an up and coming young genius in the field of science." Athrun finished.

"Huh, what a coincidence." Kira commented.

The too then had a look of horror on their faces and realization came across them.

'Shit!' Was their shared thought and they ran back toward Ashford Academy.

Unfortunately, it was all for naught as there would be two uses of nuclear level weapon in the future in Area 11.

Ironic considering parallel worlds suffered a similar fate.
