I heard someone come down the hallway, towards the room that held me and my cage. Someone big, like Soundwave, not like the mini Rumble or Frenzy. When Lazerbeak took off, vanishing from my sight, I knew someone bad was coming.

Wings poked around the outline of a mech walking in. Red and white paint...Starscream? The screechy voice soon confirmed it. "Oh, human! Still alive and awake to do Megatron's glorious bidding?" If Sarcasm was a physical being, it would be Starscream, I found myself thinking. My fingers itched to sketch something out along those lines...perhaps one virtue or not-virtue for each mech I've met...

Focus, Kendra, focus. Huge scary robot that wants to kill you demanding attention here. Looking up into those scarlet optics made me lose my nerve. Or what was left of it, anyway. "Y-yes?"

The optics revealed nothing, but his voice revealed everything. "...Good." Was that disappointment I heard? Why was I even surprised by that? "Megatron demands your presence." He sneered. His servo grabbed the cage, rocking it side to side and me off my feet.

Don't ask, don't ask. "W-why does Meg-megatron w-want me?" The words came out before I could stop them. "You? Nothing. Nothing but as a lure, fleshie." "Wh-what do you m-mean b-by lure?" "Think about it. I'm sure a mere human can figure it out."

Lure, that means bait. But bait for what? "Oh no..." I whispered, low under my breath. What did you think, dummy? That after all those questions about the Dinobots, that the Decepticons would leave them alone? Think again.

Starscream (curse his super robot hearing) smiled. Cold and cruel. "Oh yes...if one of Megatron's plans works for once, the Autobots will have lost their primitive smashers and we will have gained them. All because of you."

Your fault. Your fault. Yourfaultyourfault.

When the human curled up on the floor of its cage, shaking pathetically, Starscream figured that he had won. Not much of a victory against a fleshing, but a victory nonetheless.

The human was the perfect bait, in all honestly. Weak, afraid of every Decepticon, and alone...the Autobots were such fools leaving it unguarded. It was useless, if not for the fact that it could do what had always been thought impossible...control the Dinobots.

Unbelievable. Even having seen the footage one of Soundwave's little minions came back with. Once the human's job was done...well, he would have to talk to Megatron about having it. Then he would have some fun.

I didn't like the way Starscream was smiling, but there was nothing I could do to change that. Unfortunately.

It still creeped me out. A lot, by the way.

I hope the Dinobots never get here. They'll be in huge trouble if they do. With the way my luck was holding, they would show up. And I had no illusions about what would happen to me once the Decepticons didn't need human bait anymore. Bye, bye Kendra.

Where are the Dinobots now?

Right now, the Dinobots were having issues breaking into the Nemesis. Throughout some assistance from a boatform Autobot of some sort (Seaspray? Beachcomber? Who knew?), the team eventually made their way to the ocean floor situating the Nemesis.

Despite various difficulties. The most notable being: Sludge being tangled in seaweed, Slag wanting to chase after glowing fish for 'insulting him', Snarl picking a fight with a tiger shark, Swoop being adopted by a group of manta rays, and Grimlock's apparent attractiveness to several jellyfish species. Yeah, otherwise a long trip to the bottom of the sea.

Finally, they arrived in front of the airlock (or the ship did, and locked up to it), a human term for the door that really had no place on a Cybertronian ship. "Think is trap?" Swoop questioned nervously, eying the door. "Who care? Me Grimlock have plan." "What plan?" Sludge asked eagerly.

"Hm...break in, smash Cons in way, get Kendra, leave." Silence. Then... "That sound like good plan." "Good. Dinobots, attack!"

The door cracked soon enough under their assault. The five Dinobots charged in with nary a second thought.

The Nemesis, however, was strangely empty. And quiet. One would expect the Cons to be even noisier at home than on the battlefield, if that were possible. A trap for sure, an obvious one at that, one even Sludge identified as being a trap. But when had the Dinobots ever cared about walking into a trap? Never, that was the truth and always would be.

Eventually they made their way to the center of the Nemesis the command room. There, a single cage sat on top of Megatron's throne. A cage with a single human in it, the human the Dinobots had been looking for. Her head lifted up to look at them.

"Don't worry, Kendra. All be ok soon." Swoop assured her, fiddling with the lock on the cage. Kendra sobbed, her eyes red. "No, it won't. They're here." And with that, the dark control room lit up, almost like Jabba the Hutt catching a certain princess fiddling around in his throne room. Only, instead of gooey alien lifeforms, with metal ones. Decepticons.

Megatron stepped forward. "Welcome, Dinobots. I'd thought to tell you you're surrounded, but I would think even your tiny processors would have figured that out."

"Megatron..." A quiet snarl.

"Now, now, don't try anything. Your precious human just might get hurt if you do." Swoop stopped fiddling, noticing a fusion cannon aimed both at him and Kendra. "What Megatron want?" Slag growled, not forgetting the last time he, Sludge and Grimlock had made a deal with the mech. It hadn't turned out well, to say the least. "Surrender to me. You could fight me, of course, but that means your human might die in the crossfire," Megarton said. "Surrender."

Four of the Dinobots looked to their leader. Said leader thought about the 'offer'. A grab for power. Dinobots were destructive, no matter what side they were on. Grimlock knew that everyone thought that, and that they assumed all that matter was who held the leash. Like Dinobots could be controlled without their consent.

They could attack and beat the slag out of Megatron, but that meant Kendra would die. Grimlock didn't want to destroy Swoop's trust, who had fought so hard to get the human in the first place. Plus, he himself rather liked the human and the other Dinobots did too. There was only one choice here...

Grimlock looked up, fiery blue optics meeting red. "Fine. We Dinobots surrender, Megatron."
