A/N: To all those who have been reading this story I am so sorry for the delay. I am afraid that life and work got in the way and that Rose has been lying dormant in the back of my subconscious and hasn't been offering much help. Luckily she came back to me this weekend. I am hoping to update with a few chapters in the next few days and have the story complete itself soon. I may have to change the rating of the story as Rose and Severus are beginning to act a little more wildly than I expected when I started. Please don't hate.
Chapter 15: Sleepus Interruptus
Severus didn't know how long he had been asleep only that an incredible noise was coming from Rose's common room and Rose was trying to get out from under his arm.
"Where do you think you're going?" He grumbled into her hair.
"I have to see what's going on. Severus get up," she replied.
Severus growled but obeyed all the same. She surely knew how to get him to do her bidding.
They stepped out into the common room and before anyone could say "Cauldron Cakes" his wand was out and ready.
In the middle of the floor stood a rather ragged Sirius Black, shaggy haired and dishevelled.
"Rose, I see you are consorting with snakes," he said snidely.
"Sirius, what are you doing here?" She asked.
"My nephew is in a Tri-Wizard Tournament. His scar has been ailing him. Someone obviously tampered with a very strong magical instrument and put him in danger. I don't hear from you in months and when I do come here I see you consorting with Snivellus Snape?!" Sirius' voice was low and vibrated with anger. "What are you doing to your sister's memory?"
Severus did not even have time to react, he felt Rose's energy surge and then within seconds Sirius was thrown across the room and held to the wall. His eyes were filled with incredulity and fear.
"Don't you dare insinuate to know my sister Sirius! Don't you dare insult me or Severus! I have been doing my job as an aunt. Now, you are going to learn one or two things from me. I will not be insulted or man-handled or guilted into doing other people's biddings. I have had quite enough of that for a lifetime. You will be courteous and kind and you will stop behaving like the spoiled asshole you were when we were here or I hex you into oblivion and make sure you have to change your name to Serena Black!" Her voice was low and dangerous.
Severus wasn't sure what to think. She looked so dangerous, the air around her crackled with dangerous magic. He knew from recent personal history that this was not a time to goad her. Yet, all this was happening and he couldn't help but feel incredibly attracted to her. Her green eyes sparked with anger and made her face look even more alive than ever. A rosy flush crept into her face and made her freckles stand out. Her chest heaved with every breath she took and he could not help but stare at her heaving bosom.
Rose let Sirius down with a loud bang.
"You are to leave my rooms and hide somewhere in the forest or caves close to Hogsmeade. I will let Harry know you are here but until he or I contact you, you are to stay as far away from us as possible. I will not have you insulting me and ruining any chance at my bonding with my family!" Rose said darkly. "Get out!"
With that Sirius morphed into a dog and left through the portrait hole of her chamber. Rose turned to face Severus, who simply stood looking at her in disbelief.
"What?"
"How in the name of Merlin's balls did you become such a-a-a…" Severus stammered with incredulity.
"You mean the wandless magic? I always wondered if it would actually be better for our lives if we could duel silently and without wands. After I graduated from Beaux-Batons, I took an apprenticeship in the Middle East with the famed potioneer Mukharam Zafirrah Qureshi. She taught me all I needed to know about potions and helped me understand the art of mixing ingredients together, the complexities of the art. She also taught me how to harness my magic and concentrate in my hands so as to use it in seconds without having to resort to wand waving. Not many wizards in the Middle East use wands as they are taught from an early age to harness the magic and control it with their bodies. I simply but to practice all I could learn from her and anyone who was willing to teach me in those years. When I went back to Beaux-Batons after my apprenticeship and began to teach Potions, I also taught the children how to use wandless magic. Most are too weak to use it, but a few have the power to wield it. I am afraid none have the ability to control it the way I can or the way it is wielded in the Orient."
Severus stared at her, realisation dawning on him. The Wizarding World had a gem and a very powerful witch in their midst. One that was most likely stronger than Dumbledore and Voldemort alike. It wasn't that she couldn't control her magic but that she had more control on her magic than they could understand. A smile crept to his face and a flame was lit in his belly.
"Rose Evans, you are one hell of a witch," he said with admiration before taking her into his arms and devouring her mouth with his.
