We can't find her. Its been driving me mad, making Him furious. In turn, he's been taking it out on me. My head constantly pounding, his claws digging into my brain. The only respite being when we are searching. We know shes alive. I mean, she has to be. With the reports constantly coming in of jobs that only she could have done... all in the name of Slade. The name leaving a bad taste on my tongue. The man who drove us mad for months before this. I sigh and lay back, running a hand through my shaggy hair. Ever since his re-appearance, Robin has been searching non-stop for clues. We jump at every alarm, just to find out she left before it even sounded. All the tidbits of footage show, is that shes getting better with her powers. Faster, stronger, and harder for us to catch. All we can do is wait for Slade to make a mistake. For him to get a little too cocky and try to taunt us. I sit up, someone rapidly knocking at my door. Walking over, and opening it, I see beast boy barely containing his excitement. I raise an eyebrow at him, " You haven't looked this excited in awhile."
" He made a mistake!" he burst out with, using his hands to emphasize the importance. " Robin found it, he's calling us into the living room!" he grabs my wrist and drags me towards the room. His excitement reminding me almost of a puppy. I let him drag me briefly before teleporting us into the room. Going over to the others gathered around the TV, having arrived before us. I look around at the other titans, Aqua lad and kid flash being a few of the backup we had. Sitting, Robin briefed us on the evidence left by Slade at the last few scenes. Looking over at our most likely confused expressions, he sighed.
" Guys! With this info, we know where he is. We can go in and capture him and his accomplices." with that, he divided us up to raid Slade's lair. The dark part of me internally laughed and the pounding eased. He rested a hand on my shoulder, the phantom of him constantly there.
"He made a mistake, and this one proves to be fatal.." I quietly sigh. With this anger radiating through me.. I cant keep control for long.
We had groups sitting outside each entrance. Anyone who could shield our presence, did. Waiting for Robin's signal, I pressed against the stone wall. Feeling the silent vibration of my communicator, I teleported to the first camera. Using my cape, I sliced through the wires and shutting it down. I teleported to each entrance and did the same. Then going through the first layer, I took out the first wave, and waved the others through. I silently stepped to the ground and look around the small cavern, lit by inset lights. The other titans trickled in and I knew they were doing the same on the other side. I heard a buzz as beast boy passed by me and into the base, gathering info. I could almost see the small camera attached to him, allowing Robin to see the base as well. I nodded at bumblebee and we proceeded into the base with caution.
It was surprisingly silent. No guards posted about, in fact, we haven't seen anyone. We made it through the circular halls and met up with Robin's group, preparing to enter the center room. On Robin's signal, I held my cape up to the door. The others quickly went through into the next room and I followed. What I saw made red fog my vision. I could hear Him growling in the back of my mind, fighting against his chains.
