"Is Master Sebatyne going to be okay, Jedi Razelle?" Luke asked the voice at the other end of his commlink. He, Jacen, and the other Jedi with them were still in the Jedi Temple's hangar bay, and they had just received the news that the StealthX squadron that Saba had led failed to accomplish their goal of capturing Garis Boric and his rescuers.

"She's in critical condition, and we're rushing back to the Temple as fast as we can, Master Skywalker!" Jedi Knight Vaala Razelle - a female Arconian who was one of the Knights sent out in Saba's squad - responded. As the Knight who was reporting on the squad's failure, she was obviously distressed about that along with Saba's condition.

"Who is sending Master Sebatyne back to the Temple?" Luke asked.

"Jedi Knight Seff Hellin, Master Skywalker," Vaala reported.

"Only he needs to return to deliver Master Sebatyne for treatment," Luke replied. "You and the rest of the squad continue your search for Garis Boric and the people who took him."

"Yes, Master Skywalker," Vaala said. "I'll report that to the rest of the squad. May the Force be with you... and Master Sebatyne."

"Good hunting," Luke replied before keying off the frequency. He then turned to address the rest of the gathered Jedi. "Any one of you who wish to join in the hunt for Garis Boric and those who took him from this Temple, you're welcome to join in."

Wordlessly, all the Jedi, including Jacen, began trotting toward their vessels.

However, Jacen was quickly stopped when Luke's robotic right hand grabbed his elbow and turned him so that their eyes locked.

"Jacen," Luke said, "if you can, get Garis back alive. But if you can't, make sure that he won't hurt anyone ever again; I know you're not above outright killing, but given that he was your apprentice-"

"I'll do what I have to, Uncle Luke," Jacen said. "You can count on that."

Luke said nothing as he let go of Jacen and allowed him to resume his course for the Solo Quest.

Roughly half an hour after he'd been deposited in this rundown apartment, Garis sensed the approach of the Twi'lek pilot and the familiar presences of the beings who rescued him from the Jedi Temple. He opened the door before any of them had to knock.

"That was quick," Garis commented dryly.

"There's not much time," the Twi'lek said as he and his compatriots walked past Garis. The two in the all-body uniforms carried yet another device between them, which looked like a metallic bed. Hanging from the shoulders of all three of Garis's rescuers were sizable brown bags.

"The Jedi are starting to double their search for you," the pilot continued as his comrades set the machine down in the apartment. After the Twi'lek closed the door behind him, he pointed at the machine and ordered Garis to, "Sit down."

Again, Garis complied without complaint, but once he was seated, the all-body-uniformed beings grabbed Garis's arms.

"Now stay still," the Twi'lek commanded as he leaned over Garis's right side. "Because this is going to hurt."

The pilot then pressed a button, and Garis was then assaulted by incredible pain that was brought about the chair machine lighting up with red electricity. It felt as if stinging hot needles were penetrating every millimeter of his body, and twisting to further heighten the pain.

Yet, for all of his resultant screaming, Garis somehow managed to stay still, as he was ordered.

As if he were being rewarded for his obedience under the intense agony, the pilot shut the machine off with another press of a button. The red electricity died off, and Garis felt as if his life should have ended with it.

However, he managed to continue, and was surprised to find a mirror being extended by a robot arm from the left side of the chair that had given this much pain. Through the mirror, he saw not his own features, but rather, he saw a blonde man with a different jawline, lower cheekbones, grey eyes, a more narrow nose, and a tan skin color. Naturally, Garis ran a hand over his new features in curiosity just as the Twi'lek handed him a passport that matched his features.

"Look it over," the pilot demanded, "and familiarize yourself with your new identity."

Garis took the passport that included his new name - which was Yusun Pokan - and the other credentials printed on the passport. As he did so, he took no notice as his rescuers had finally set down their bags and took out the clothes that were in them. They all took off their current clothes, put on their new ones, and replaced their old ones back in the bags.

By then, Garis had finished memorizing his new identity and looked up to find the Twi'lek in civilian garb that covered his krayt dragon tattoos. He also found that the former all-body-uniformed beings were simply human males, one dark-skinned and one brown-skinned.

The Twi'lek then produced a vile of yellow liquid from a pocket and uncapped it. "Drink this," he told Garis.

The rapist obeyed, and nearly gagged on the foul taste after swallowing. Thankfully, he managed to keep his gorge from rising as the Twi'lek said, "To others, this will make your Force-presence feel completely different; that way, none of the Jedi looking for you can pinpoint you with their senses." He then took the empty vial from Garis's hand and replaced it back in the same pocket.

"Let's go," the Twi'lek commanded of Garis.

The former Jedi apprentice complied once again and began following his rescuers out the door. However, before he could ask what they would do with the chair and the bags, the Twi'lek turned at the threshold of the door and unleashed a volley of blue electricity sizzling for the machine and sacks. In moments, they had been cleanly vaporized, not leaving a single piece of debris behind; only smoke remained.

With that, Garis followed his rescuers the rest of the way out the door, where the Twi'lek closed it behind them for good measure, and they hurried the rest of the way for a waiting landspeeder driven by a female Devaronian. The Twi'lek took the front passenger seat while Garis and the other humans took up the entire backseat.

Once they were all seated, the Devaronian drove off, though not at a ridiculously fast pace; Garis suspected that she didn't want to attract too much attention in a slum area like this, what with the Jedi looking for them.
