Chapter 36: Twins Birthday part one

Almost a week after the weekend at the cabin with the family and Derek secret mission to retrieving the engagement ring from side cabin, Derek could barely keep from getting down on one knee and asking Stiles to marry him.
Especially when they got back home and was welcome back by Cora and Michael, who had just returned from their three week honeymoon.
He could see it in her eyes, the way her smile would falter when she thought no one was looking her way as the newlywed couple told those stories about the places they visited on the honeymoon. Stiles wanted to have similar stories to share among the pack and Derek wanted that too.
Coming to that conclusion Derek had some planning to do and it had to go perfect and the first part of his plan involved two amazing twins who birthday happen to be today.

February 12
It was a beautiful Friday morning as Derek and Stiles made the way upstairs to Amber's room where Stiles had told Derek Junior would be in there too.
It was one of the things they did every year on their birthdays. Junior would sleep in Amber bed with her so that when they were woken up by someone that person called wish both of them a happy birthday together and it was also the only day Stiles let them stay home from school.
Opening the door to Amber's room Stiles and Derek took in the sight of their children.
Amber was sleeping at the head of the bed with one leg hanging loosely over the bed. Junior was sleeping at the foot of the bed, an arm dangling over the bed and head covered by one of Amber pillows.
"They sleep like you" Derek whispers in Stiles ear. His lips grazing over Stiles ear. Stiles had to stop a small moan from escaping her mouth.
"Shut up" Stiles said elbowing Derek in the stomach.
Derek just wrapped his arms around Stiles so that his hands were rubbing on her belly. "You ready"
"Yeah" Stiles smiled.
Placing a kiss on the top of Stiles head. "Let's do this"
Stiles and Derek clears their throats belting out Happy Birthday at the top of their lungs.
The twins both jolt up out of the bed. With Junior feet caught in the cover and Amber body wrapped in her sheet they both fall on the floor.
"I'm alright" the twins says jumping up on their feet.
"Happy Birthday momma babies" Stiles coos as she approaches Junior being he's closer a pulling him into a hug and smothering him with motherly kiss all over his face.
"Mom" Junior whines trying to pull away from his mom, but to no prevail does it work. "Dad"
Derek just shakes his head containing his laughter at his son embarrassment.
Stiles then moves over to Amber and repeats the same actions she did to Junior.
After Stiles let go of Amber it was Derek turn to pull his twins into a hug wishing them a happy birthday.
"So what's the plan today?" Amber asked. She was fourteen today and this was by far the best birthday hands down, just because her dad was here and looking over at her brother she could see he was thinking the same as she was.
"Well first we eat breakfast" Stiles starts listing off today plans. ", then Lydia, Erica, Cora, and I will set up for your party, while you two hang out with your dad for a couple of hours."
"When we get back you guys can prepare for all of your guest to show up." Derek said. Apparently their kids have become increasingly popular after these short few months of being in Beacon Hills which means probably the whole school would be attending this party.
"Where are we going?" Junior ask meeting his dad's eyes.
"It's a surprise, now come on and eat before the food gets cold." Derek said as he ushered his son and daughter out of the room, downstairs to eat.

After breakfast was done Junior and Amber rushed off to take a shower before heading out with Derek.
Once Derek heard both showers began and the sound of Junior singing in the shower (something he realized his son did every morning.) he gave Stiles the signal that they could talk now.
"So after you leave my dad's where are you three going?" Stiles asked as she gathered up the dirty dishes, only for Derek to come and take them from her and placed them in the dishwasher.
Starting the dishwasher Derek then turns to face Stiles. "I was thinking about taking them to the movies, then an empty parking lot so they can drive the Toyota."
"Driving" Stiles said both brows raised. "Are you sure that's a good idea."
"Yeah Stiles they've been asking me to teach them for quite some time now and it's their birthday" Derek said walking up to Stiles snaking his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to himself before leaning down to place a sweet kiss on her soft lips.
When Derek pulls back Stiles looks at the Alpha to see a smile on his lips. "I'm their dad i'm not going to let anything to them."
Stiles smiled at Derek words. "I know."
"John will be picking up their surprise right." Derek asked.
Stiles nods. "They'll be here at two. I can't wait to see Junior and Amber faces."
Before Derek could respond he heard both showers cut off. "Their done" looking down at himself in a black muscle shirt and black basketball shorts "I should go change too." He said kissing Stiles again before rushing off to the room to change.
Amber was the first one fully dressed as she came down the stairs Stiles turn to see her daughter outfit.
Amber was wearing a pair of black denim jeans, a white shirt and black leather cropped jacket and her white converse. Her raven color hair hanging loosely down her back in waves. The wolf necklace she never takes off and the daddy's girl bracelet was the only jewelry she had on.
Junior and Derek walked in at the same time and Stiles did the same to them as she did Amber.
Junior was wearing a pair of black fitted jeans, a black shirt that was under a black and red plaid shirt the sleeves rolled up to the elbow. Instead of his normal gelled up style fohawk hairstyle like his dad he did a more casual look making his hair look almost brown from the small rays of sunlight coming through. He also wear his wolf necklace. His shoes were black Nike shoes with a red Nike check.
Derek wore his usual outfit leather jacket, dark jeans, gray Henley shirt, and black boots. His black shades hooked to his shirt.

As the three Hale's drove down the street Junior and Amber both were thanking everyone who had texted them a happy birthday.
"So where are we going dad?" Junior asked after sending his last text looking up at the road to see they have made it into town now.
"We're going to see your grandpa?" Derek replies as he turns onto another street.
"That means birthday money" Amber said from the back seat. Every year their grandpa would send two birthday cards with a hundred dollars and the age of numbers they turned.
"A hundred and fourteen dollars" Junior said.
Derek hearing zoned out halfway through the twins talking about all the gifts John had sent them over the year and how Stiles would tell her dad he was going to spoil them.
Stiles. Just thinking about Stiles brought a smile to the Alpha face. He thought about the ring he had securely locked in his safe at work. He envisioned Stiles face whenever he propose, would she cry, be speechless, or something Stiles like. He also wanted to ask John permission to marry Stiles, and the first part of his plan. Derek was so deep in his thoughts he didn't notice he passed up the Sheriff's house until he felt someone tapping him on the shoulder.
"Dad!" Junior voice echoed in Derek's ear making the older wolf look over at his son.
Junior face showed confusion and maybe a little bit of annoyance. If Derek would have looked at Amber expression he would have seen the same identical look.
"Are you okay?" Amber asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"Well you just passed up grandpa house." Junior said pointing back down the street.
Derek looks in the review mirror to see that he's right. So when he comes to the stop sign at the end of the street and makes sure the coast is clear, he turns right so that he can be on a back street of John's house. He then makes two more rights, one to get off of the backstreet, and the second to get back on the right street.
When he does pull up to the sheriff house and sees the police car, and Stiles old jeep in the drive way he parks behind the jeep.
Amber is out of the car before Derek can turn the car off and already knocking on the door. Junior on the other hand is looking at his dad next to him.
Derek can feel Junior eyes on him and when he looks at him, he has one eyebrow arched his lips set in a line, and his eyes roaming over his dad face for any emotion that something is wrong.
"Are you sure everything okay?" The worry in Junior voice was not hard to miss.
Derek smiled. "I promise you everything is perfect?"
Derek saw the way Junior body relax before smiling at his dad and getting out of the car, and making it too the door just as the sheriff opened the door with a huge grin.

Just as Amber and Junior said in the car John gave both teens their own birthday card with a hundred and fourteen dollars in it.
To say Derek was nervous would be an understatement. He was probably more nervous now asking John for Stiles hand in marriage then he was to propose to Stiles. He and John had gotten closer over the last decade and years. Going fishing, camping, even a few baseball games, Derek looked to the man as a second father and he hoped that John saw him as a son.
So when the sheriff walks back into the living room with two bowls with vanilla ice cream and caramel, and whipped cream on top for the twins Derek mouth spoke quicker than his brain could process what he was doing.
"Can I have your permission to marry your daughter?"
As soon as the words left his mouth Derek closed his eyes. 'Stupid stupid stupid that's not how that was supposed to go.'
The twins both froze at their dad's request a spoon inches away from their mouths. The spoons slowly find the way back down into the bowls as they turn to look at their dad who as reopen his eyes and turning a deep shade of red.
"I'm sorry that's not how I wanted to ask you" Derek explained putting his face into his hand trying to hide his embarrassment. ", it just came out before I could stop."
The twins look over at their grandpa who's sitting across from Derek. His blue eyes are wide probably because of the bomb Derek just dropped on them. To say the twins weren't excited by the news would be a lie, but they didn't want to show it until John said something.
As if he had read their minds he looks at both of his grandchildren a smiles. He then looks over at Derek who still has his head in his hands mumbling to himself.
A clearing of a throat made Derek look up. Only to see a smiling John Stilinski.
"Well it's about time" John said the smile still plastered on his face.
"So does that mean I have your permission?" The alpha asked.
"Yes Derek you have my permission"
"Oh my God!" Amber screams jumping up from her seat on the coach. "I have so much to do" she said now pacing the living room, hands on hips. Reminding the three males looking at her so much like Lydia and Erica.
"When are you planning on doing this?" She asked never stopping her pace back and forth. Derek didn't get a chance answer because Amber just kept on talking. "You should do on Valentine's day. You have to make it really romantic...oh my god you need a ring-"
"I have a ring already" Derek said. He didn't know Amber could talk this much when she got worked up, but then again she does have her mother DNA too.
"What!" That got her to stop pacing and turn around to her dad so face that her hair slung around to cover her face. Pushing the hair out of her face looking at her dad with that 'I-CAN'T-BELIEVE-YOU-DIDN'T TELL ME' look. "Where is it? Can I see it? What it look like? How much was it?"
"Dang Amber breath. "Junior said. "I know excited so am I, but I'm sure dad as a plan." He looks over at Derek "right."
"It doesn't matter did you see how he asked grandpa for mom hand. That was just horrible! "Amber states.
"Ouch" Derek said placing his hand over his heart. "Offense taken."
"Well duh!" Junior said to his sister ignoring their dad's words. "That's why he needs our help"
"Exactly!"
"I just wanted you guys too know and maybe do a little song or something before I propose. I have everything else under control." Derek said really offended by his kids lack of trust in his ability to do a great proposal.
"Okay that sounds great right guys" John said trying to get his grandchildren attention.
Both twins sway their heads from left to right as they think about it before agreeing. "Yeah it does."
"So where are you planning on doing this? When are you planning on doing this? "Amber asked returning back to her earlier questions.
"Soon" Derek said. "I have an few places in mind."
"Like where" Amber asked she need to know so that she could relay this information to Erica and Lydia so they could have everything together.
"Like Amour" Derek said in a matter-of-factly tone.
The twins scuff at that idea. "Dad she work's there why would she want to get propose there too." Junior said.
"How about you leave the venue to the girl's, and the music to Junior. Deal. Great" It's official Derek needs to keep Amber away from the Martian women, because she just made him feel like a three-year old being told what to do by his mother. All Derek could do was nod.
With that being settled the Hale made their way out of the sheriff house after he told them he had to go pick up the twin's gift.

After leaving and denying Amber request to let her see the ring or even tell her where it was. This was something he was not budging on. Everyone would see the ring when Stiles saw it. They also agreed maybe Valentine's Day was a great time seeing it was the most romantic day in the world, but that was only if Erica or Lydia could find a place.
The twins laughed at that which had Derek laughing because Lydia, Christina, Erica, and how he hate to admit this but Amber always get what they want.
So now with his plan in motion Derek and the twins agreed to keep this on the hush hush so Stiles wouldn't find out, and made their way to the movies to see Captain America two another secret they had to keep from Stiles just so she wouldn't kill them.
After the movie Derek let them drive in a big open field. He was proud to say his kids were pretty decent drivers, minus Junior speeding something he inherit from both parents, and Amber short attention span whenever she gets a text and sign of future road rage. Something she obviously got from her mom Derek thinks.

When Derek pulled back up at the manor it was a little after two o'clock meaning guest would start arriving in a hour to celebrate his the twins bday.
Derek saw them before Junior and Amber did. Two teenagers around the same age as Junior and Amber. Boy and girl standing next to Stiles on the porch.
The boy was slim and had short curly dark brown hair, he was about the same height as Junior if not a little shorter. His peach skin tone brought out his brown eyes. The boy kind of reminded Derek of Scotty. The boy was wearing
The young girl standing next to Stiles was light skinned, maybe if mixed Derek thought. She also had long wavy brown hair that fell down her back. Her eyes was the same whiskey color as Stiles and the smile she had on her face made her face brightening. She was a little taller than the boy but it probably had to do with the white heels the girl was wearing that went along with her outfit. A white denim vest and matching high-waist shorts were styled with a blue-and-white paisley-print shirt complemented by cute pink Christian Loubo Dos Noeud' ankle-strap peep-toes offset with a bow.
"Oh my God" Amber screams nearly rushing out of the car, Junior right behind as they use their werewolf agility to jump over the porch railing and pull the two teens into a tight hug.
"What are you guys doing here?" Derek hears Junior ask as he turns the car off and get out.
"Like we would miss you guys birthday" the boy said. Derek watch him pull Junior into another hug before hugging Amber, while Junior hugged the teen girl.
"God I've missed you guys" Amber said.
"We've missed you too" The girl said. "Woah is that you dad Junior you look just like him."
"Yeah I know, I'm just a little more charming"
"You haven't changed" the said rolling her eyes.
"Hi I'm Derek Hale" Derek introduces himself to the two guest. "You must be the best friends Sam and Kayla"
"Nice to finally meet you mister Hale." Sam said with a nod.
"Thank you for the plane tickets." Kayla said.
Derek and Stiles had been brought the tickets and sent then to Sam and Kayla the tickets last month.
"You know" Amber turn to her dad.
Derek nod. "Where do you think your grandpa went after we left?"
Junior shakes his head. "Sneaky sneaky sneaky I think were rubbing offfor on you old man"
"This old man can keep up with you." Derek said with a smile, ruffling Junior hair before walkingwalking in the house with Stiles.
"You guys need to change you guest will be here any moment." Kayla said.
"Your right" the twins agree.
Kayla throws her arm around Amber as they walk into the house. "Now tell me about this kiss again with Scotty."
Sam does the same to Junior "and you can tell me some more about this Christina girl you've got the hots for."
Both twins blushed. Yeah today maybe their birthday, but it also going to be a day of embarrassing stories.
"God help us" they said walking upstairs to get ready for the party.

This chapter actually was supposed to be the party, but it just didn't happen like that.
Next chapter is the party and Nicholas/Drew will make an appearance on. Lets see what happens.
