So, yeah. I have finally got a plan for how this story will end. I had one earlier as well but then the story would have gone on like forever. But now I have a new plan because, it seems like everyone on here are sick and tired of the story. And I can't blame you because I am too. And making it go with my old plan would just make it drag on. I hope you'll all be happy with the rest of the story and I think there might be five, ten chapters left.
As the song still was at its very first part I looked around the skating hall and almost right away could spot Kiana and her friends where they stood, laughing so hard they had to grab onto benches not to fall. And I could have just skated over there and hit them into next century… but hey, I was going to do so, so much better than that!
Come on Barbie, let's go party
As the more upbeat part started I started moving. Dancing, and skating over the ice. I didn't have any time to wonder about what I was going to do next or how I was doing. I just did, and did whatever came to mind about doing from where I was at the moment. I heard someone shouting, either a Cullen or a bully. But I couldn't hear who it was, not even the words they were shouting at me. Or in what way.
You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere
Somehow I managed to get my hoodie off. And with a T shirt that read 'if there's time for Facebook it's time for skating' I threw my hoodie away and could see Rosalie catching it. And I just continued to jump, spin, skate. Well, actually I wasn't so sure what everything I was doing was.
I wasn't so sure, but I think it was towards the end of the song. When I, without thinking, jumped forward, turned in the air. Put my hands towards the ice and then threw myself back onto my feet and then suddenly, as of everything going down into my head I heard and saw everything again. And the crowd just exploded.
Wait? What exactly had I done? Because I was pretty sure I hadn't known how to do that five minutes ago. At least not on the ice with skates on my feet. And certainly not how I would have done it without falling but I had just done it and somehow succeeded.
"YOU DID IT JAMIE." I heard Emmett's voice just as I could finish the choreography. "YOU DID IT."
There was something with watching someone do a skating routine to that silly one hit wonder that had made the crowd go mad. Because suddenly, or at least it felt like suddenly everyone were on their feet. And somewhere, in the middle of it all. I could even see Joel who now had crutches instead of a wheelchair was standing with one hand on his mum's shoulder. Hitting the other one towards his leg to clap him too. And when I looked at him, I could feel my heart beating in the clap rhythm.
"There…" Arlo Clemente said in the microphone. "…Have been some kind of sabotage. Jamie Dylan was not meant to do her routine to that song. We're going to try and find the right song. And if the person is found who did this he or she will be immediately disqualified. But I have to say… Jamie, you did it pretty darn good anyway." Arlo held his hands in front of the microphone and clapped. And yet another time, at his words, the crowd clapped harder than ever while I skated to the side and climbed over to the Cullen's waiting.
"Why didn't you tell us you were competing?" Emmett asked while I reached for my hoodie to get it on again before I froze to death. "Wow that was a big surprise." I smiled slightly and tried to catch my breath. Just as Kiana went out on the ice, and I heard I will always love you start blasting through the speakers and in the corner of my eye I could see her starting to do something. In a whole other style than what I had. But I just couldn't stop smiling- damn, I had done it. And not only done it. I had done it darn well.
"You did so very good sweetheart." Esme said, Carlisle stood right by and had a sort of proud look in his eyes looking down at me. And I couldn't help but smile slightly before I sat down again. Although, before I looked down on Kiana's routine. I turned my head and looked at Joel. And he, was sort of wearing the same look as Carlisle was. And with a big smile on his lips he looked back at me. And for the first time, I didn't try and stop the warm feeling in my heart when I looked into his eyes. And then turned back to the ice just as Kiana left the ice- exactly how long were I and Joel looking at each other actually.
"And so…" When everyone, including Jada Carlyle had done their routines and performances and the judges had gone through everything. "We have decided to count together the girl's and boy's scores. So even if they were competing in different, they will only have one winner. And second runner up is…" Arlo was talking and made a pause to build up the suspense in the big hall and with all the people. "Jada Carlyle."
Jada's smile as she skated out towards the middle of the ice rink was undeniable. The crowd, including me were clapping. And I heard spread shouts and whistles. I knew Joel's ones- not because I recognized the sound. But because it was the only voice that would make my heart beat. No matter how much I tried to fight my feelings away and tried to ignore it.
"And… first runner up…" Arlo spoke again. And I wasn't so sure if someone had turned on some sound in the speakers to build up the suspense or if it was just my heart beating so loud. Every single one of the people in the big hall would be able to hear it. "Despite the sabotage, Jamie Dylan." I felt a smile, just as big as Jada's if not bigger form on my lips and I skated out to Arlo. The crowd seemed to just explode and I bowed my head and let one of the judges- a woman that worked here but that I didn't know the name of put the ribbon to the medal around my neck and took a trophy from a third one of the judges before I skated back to the Cullen's. I was so happy, but as I felt dunking in my back from yet one hand yet the other and breathed heavily. I didn't know what to say, so I just kept on smiling.
"And… our winner here today…" Arlo fixed with his paper. "Is… Mister…. Ladies and gentleman, Tysen Tobin." Tysen didn't sit too far away from me. And close enough to see the look on his face while his chin had dropped and his little sister and brother jumped on the bench on either side of him clapping. Tysen didn't move at first, then seemed to wake up and got onto his feet and crawled over the edge around the rink.
The crowd, yet another time just exploded. And got onto their feet and gave Tysen a standing ovation. But in the middle of it all- I could see Kiana's face. She was not used to losing. And she absolutely hated it. And out of everyone- she had lost to the biggest 'losers' in the whole school. Tysen and I.
While I was pretty unknown, everybody in the whole town knew Tysen- at least by name. By all of the charity events he had started in town. And it was clear no one thought anybody had deserved winning more than him. But as all good things, this too had to come to an end. But, maybe not just yet.
"Ladies and gentleman." Arlo went out on the ice again and I looked up. "We have found the tape with the song that Jamie Dylan had chosen. And also the person who caused the sabotage and she will be punished. But… Jamie… Would you like to do the routine that you had planned from the beginning?" He looked to me.
"JAMIE, JAMIE, JAMIE…" I hesitated, but didn't have the time to do so before Emmett started stomping his feet and clapping his hands in rhythm with my name. I sighed. But as first Jamie and Alice went along, then one after one in the whole crowd I stood up and climbed over the edge around the rink out onto the ice and over to Arlo. Where I signed to him to borrow me the microphone while the crowd cheered.
"I'd like to dedicate this routine to the Cullen's that are sitting over there." I said before I had the time to change my mind and handed the microphone back to Arlo before he skated back and onto the judges' table while the piano intro to the right song started blasting through the speakers and the judges sat and smiled up at me when I passed them.
Towards the end of the song, in the last refrain there was a high, long note and while it played I took the chance. It wasn't planned, but I just needed to do it. One more try, jump, three laps. Down. When I felt the blade of my skate running across the ice I realized that while I planned how to do the triple axel I had actually done it. And heck I had done it perfectly.
For the second time that day, a big smile had formed on my lips and I couldn't wipe it off. So I just kept on smiling until the last few, slow notes when the song ended and I raised one hand in the air. I couldn't help myself. As soon as the song was over I boxed in the air. And what made it even better was that Kiana was red as a tomato of anger. First she had watched me do something perfectly to the song she had sabotaged me with, then I had seen Arlo talking to her and I guessed she would get punishment. Then she had to watch me again, although. For several seconds after the song ended the crowd stayed all silent.
Heck! I don't think they liked it!
"Yeah!" Suddenly I heard one voice. And it was just the one that made my heart beat like crazy while I heard and watched Joel clap as if his life was depending on it. And after him the Cullen's followed. And one after one the crowd started cheering and clapping their hands while I, once again couldn't stop smiling- so I just continued.
With the ovations still ringing in my ears when they had rang out I crawled over the edge onto 'safe land' and was right away pulled into a tight embrace by Emmett who kept on calling me Jay Jay. He rocked me a bit back and forth, and I almost was afraid that he'd drop me but he still held me tight. And when he finally let go I sat down to tie my skates off and my sneakers on. Everybody started moving up onto their feet and towards the doors.
"KADEN." It had taken me a couple of minutes to get done with the skates and sneakers. And when I raised and reached for my bag I heard a shout. Of the kind that makes the blood freeze in your veins echo between the walls and over the sound of people's chattering. "KADEN…. KADEN." The voice broke, but I easily recognized it and I looked up to where I had last seen Kiana.
Kiana didn't sit there anymore. But I could spot her at the top stair and heard her continue for this Kaden. She was looking around and even from where I was I could see the worried look over not only her face and eyes. But in her whole body language and movement. And she looked around in a way that screamed panic louder than the name of the person I had never even heard about.
"KADEN…"
Before I had made up my mind about how to react Carlisle and Esme had hurried over to the Asian girl at the top of the stairs and Esme laid an arm around her shoulders.
"Who are you looking for honey?" Esme's voice sounded just as clear and calm as it ever did. Even at the sound of Kiana's sobs. And despite what she had done to me, now and ever I couldn't help to feel sorry for. "It's okay. We'll help you look."
"My- y bro-other."
I had been looking down into my bag, but now looked up and to Kiana. I had never even known she had a brother. Not that I knew her very well, but I had always taken for granted she was an only child.
"How old is he and what does he look like? What is he dressed in? Where did you see him last?" Carlisle stopped asking questions when Esme held up a hand to let the young teenager answer them he had already asked before he asked anything more.
"He's seven." Kiana answered tearfully. "Well, he's obviously Asian. And he's got short and spiky hair and is wearing all black, grey and white. He might be holding a little box of Nutella and go. He is wearing a black, white and grey beanie cap with 'London' written on it. His name is Kaden Kai Thomas." I let go of the thoughts of what Kiana had done earlier and walked up the stairs to where she was now and laid a hand on her shoulder. "I don't remember where I saw him last. One second he was right behind me and the next he wasn't." She continued sobbing and tried to catch her breath before she said more and looked around the hall to see if she could spot him.
I knew for certain that if Kaden still was in this room all of the Cullen's could hear him loud and clear. But as Kiana didn't know about the whole vampire thing they couldn't say it either. And I glanced to Jasper, raised an eyebrow and he nodded just slightly. Everyone except for Esme who sat down with Kiana on the top of the bleachers to try and comfort her started going around, and as soon as we were out of hearing distance from Kiana. Alice came up to me.
"He's behind the bleachers." I nodded. "You go and find him." I nodded. Looked around a bit to not seem suspicious and the Cullen's were doing the same while shouting Kaden's name. I slowly neared the bleachers. And like Alice had said, when I came around the corner I found Kaden. Dipping the small breadsticks in his Nutella, headphones in his ears, and completely lost to the rest of the world until I looked up over the bleachers and shouted.
"Kiana, he's right here."
Kiana flew onto her feet, and came running towards me with tears running down her cheeks faster than ever while passing around the corner. Followed by a loud, deep breath when she saw her little brother and all the Cullen's came walking. Kaden looked up and with big, brown eyes looked from his sister and to one and one of the people that were standing right there. And seemed to be wondering what we were all doing and why Kiana was crying.
"Oh Kaden." Kiana sat down in front of him, turned his iPod off and pulled the headphones out of his ears. "How many times do I need to tell you? In the middle of a crowd, stay close to my side. And do certainly not go and hide behind something." Kaden laid his head to the side as if he was wondering about something. "What?"
"You always told me that if I lose you I should stay where I was. And I did lose you. And right then I didn't move. I promise you I didn't Ki. But I was pushed by someone, so I hid under the bleachers until it was empty. But I didn't notice it was empty because I turned my music on and was eating." Kiana sighed in relief and pulled him close. But that was all I saw because Carlisle tapped my shoulder and gestured to me and together we started moving out of the hall and back towards the house. And for the first time. I felt something. Something in my steps and in my whole body that. And right then it felt like I could just have spread out my wings and lifted from the ground to fly- like a phoenix.
And yeah, exactly like a phoenix I had had to hit rock bottom to explode. And was now rising from the ashes. And nothing could stop me now.
So, Jamie came on second place in the competition despite the sabotage. The crowd just loved her but Kiana wasn't too happy. Jada- Joel's little sister came on third. But Joel seemed happier for Jamie than for his own sister and at last Tysen won. Jamie dedicated the routine that she should have been able to do from the beginning. Joel and Jamie are obviously in love but the only one who doesn't get that is Jamie. And at last they made it look like Jamie found Kiana's little brother Kaden. Kiana couldn't hate Jamie now right… or could she?
Jamie is portrayed by Annaliese Basso, Joel by Dylan Everett, Jada by Joey King. Kiana by Myra Molloy, Kaden by Forrest Wheeler. Tysen by Sam Earle, and his sister and brother by (younger) Jacob Hopkins and (younger) Kyra Krumins. Arlo is portrayed by Dylan O'Brien and I made polyvore- edits for all of them.
After some counting I figured there probably aren't five, ten chapters left of this story. Maybe five actually. I'm going to take a few notes of the rest of what will happen and write like crazy. And then we'll see what happens. But as you probably get by now, there really isn't much left on this one.

Random fact
The part with the sabotage was something that I have planned for like forever. It feels very, very nice to finally have let everybody else see it as well.
