Chapter 38: A promising Proposal

"Good morning beautiful." Derek said to a newly awaken Stiles.
"Morning" Stiles mumbles as she moves closer to rest her head on his bare warm chest.
Derek fingers find their way onto Stiles back drawing soothing circles in her back. Something that Stiles enjoys every morning.
"Happy Valentine's Day" he says placing a light kiss on her head.
"Valentine's Day" Stiles asked raising her head off of Derek's chest to look into his green eyes.
That's right Friday was the twins birthday and yesterday the majority of the pack was watching Drew for any suspicious behavior with the help Diana who had been filled in about everything that had been happening the last few months. Lydia and Erica had been quite busy too doing something last minute for a mutual friend that had Stiles was told when she asked Allison.
Why they were doing that Stiles had been in her books studying her runes and sigils. Kayla had insisted that Junior and Amber learn some of these. When Stiles asked why, she said she didn't know they just need to.
So Stiles let Junior and Amber sit and watch and read her books. Like Stiles Junior found all of this fascinating and tried to absorb as much information as possible. Amber picked up things too, but not as much as Junior because of her being easily bored.
"Yeah" Derek voice brings Stiles back from her thoughts. "So" Derek said reaching over to grab a red box off of the night stand. "Happy Valentine's Day." He said holding the box in front Stiles.
"Derek" Stiles sits up in the bed looking at Derek with wide eyes, tears already gathering in her eyes.
Derek opens the box to reveal a infinity diamond necklace.
The tears are falling down her face now because the necklace is breathtakingly beautiful.
"You like it?" Derek asked putting the box down to reach and brush tears away.
"I love it" Stiles smiles leaning in to place a light kiss on Derek's lips, "and I love you."
Derek smiled at Stiles confession of love for him. "I love you too." The alpha said back, and tonight if tonight goes like he hopes he would get to show her how much he loves her for the rest of their lives.
Stiles reaches over and takes the necklace out of the box. It's beautiful and Stiles knows it wasn't cheap.
"Wear it tonight" Derek said watching Stiles hold the necklace carefully as if she was scared it might break. "For our date." His hands running up and down her belly lightly.
"Date" Stiles said turning to look at her boyfriend. "I can't go out I have nothing to wear." Nothing for a romantic date anyway, and plus she was four months pregnant. What would look good on her and comfortable at the same time? God she's needs Lydia now.
"I can call Lydia" Derek offers as if he could read Stiles mind.
"Please" Stiles said leaning back into Derek warmth.
"If Lydia ask the necklace is fourteen karat white gold with 23 diamonds." Derek said. Stiles and Derek knew there was no 'if' Lydia asked she would ask and expect answers.
"So where are we going?"
"It's a surprise" Derek replied getting an unseen eye roll from Stiles.
"What about the kids?" They couldn't just leave them here by themselves.
"They have dates tonight too." Derek said only telling half the truth. Apparently Scotty and Amber, Junior and Ciara, Kayla and Sam, Lucas and Violet, Christina and Robert were all going out to a movie then at six and be at the place he was going to pop the question to Stiles by nine.
Apparently Lydia and Erica were able to find a restaurant at the last minute called Angela and set the reservation for eight o'clock tonight.
All Derek and Stiles had to do was show up and when it was time for the proposal Derek would get a message from the waiter and led them to the perfect spot.
"Oh" Stiles said a little surprised the twins hadn't mentioned anything about dates tonight to her. "I didn't know"
"It was mostly the girl's idea the guys didn't really care." Derek replies.
Stiles scoffs "of course."
Derek smiled. "What's that supposed to mean?" Trying to sound offended failing miserably.
"Nothing" Stiles shrugs "just that girls are more romantic than boys at any age."
"I doubt that" Derek said rubbing circles on Stiles belly. "Guys are much more romantic than girls we just more spontaneous with it."
Instead of getting a verbal answer from Stiles he got a physical answer from Stiles belly.
Stiles tried to muffle her laugh at Derek wide eyed expressions as he slowly put his hand back on her belly. "Did she just..."
"Agree with momma," Stiles smiles placing a hand on her belly also "yes I think she did."
There was another kick followed seconds later.
"Okay that was definitely a kick" Derek said smiling up at Stiles his green eyes boring into her eyes with so much love and happiness.
"Yes it is and now she's pressing down on mommy's bladder." Stiles said getting up to the bathroom.

"Okay" Stiles said stepping out of the fitting room. "What about this one?" She asked slowly spinning around in the black dress.
"You're going on a date Stiles, not a funeral." Lydia said from her spot on the couch where the customer can sit and wait for their friends in the waiting room.
"Maybe try another color." Allison suggest before popping a fry dipped in ice cream in her mouth. A craving she and Stiles seem to share.
"Brighter colors" Erica said. "That's like your fourth black dress."
Lydia stands up "Go get out of that...I'll go pick you something out to wear." With a flip of her hair the banshee leaves to go look for her friend dress.
After getting out of the black dress, Stiles waits on Lydia to bring her some more dresses.
A few minutes later there was a knock on Stiles' fitting room door. "Stiles it's me" Lydia voice said from in front of the door.
Unlocking the door Stiles is handed four different dress and neither one is black. Instead one was white, another blue (her favorite color), a purple dress, and green dress.
"Now try these on so we can go...we're on a schedule." Lydia demands before leaving to go back to sit down.

Stiles ultimately choice the purple dress after trying all four dress on and all four women agreed that it was her dress and Stiles like that it was comfortable and hid her pregnant belly.
After the dress shopping was over Lydia had driven them to the nail shop where they all got manicures and pedicure.
When Stiles and the girls finally finished it was already five meaning that Stiles had three hours to her reservations?
She still didn't know where Derek was taking her all she got out of him was the reservations time. Stiles had a filling Lydia might know where he was taking her but if she was right the strawberry blonde wasn't going to tell her.
When they pulled up to Lydia and Jackson home which was about ten minutes away from the manor, all four women were met Amber, Christina, Kayla, Ciara, Violet, Rachel and Megan at the door as they waited for their dates.
Christina was wearing a white sleeveless floral print dress that stopped above the knee and black heels that went with the black floral print on the dress. She had a small amount of makeup a little black eyeliner on and her clear lip gloss. Instead of her blonde waves she had straightening her hair.
Amber was wearing a cream strapless dress with a dramatic organza ruffled hem that stopped a couple of inches above her knees. Instead of tennis shoes Amber borrowed Christina cream colored peep toe heel, her hair fell down her back into big loose curls. She was wearing her wolf necklace like always and the charm bracelet Scotty had given her.
Stiles thought they looked beautiful along with the other five girls who was also was wearing dresses.
"You girls look beautiful" Lydia awed.
There was 'thank you' from all the girls before Stiles and the other three women disappear in Lydia room to do hair and make-up, something Stiles had been told has become a Valentine's Day tradition for the pack, while the men get dress at Derek's.

"Stiles...you look beautiful" Erica said giving Stiles a smile. Turning Stiles around to face Lydia's 3-way full body glass mirror.
Amber, Christina, and company had left about fifteen minutes ago when Scott came and picked them up to drop them off at the movies, and the little kids are going to be dropped off at Stiles' dad house so he and Melissa can babysit.
The purple comfort Apparel Maternity strapless Maxi dress stopped at her ankles. Since the dress was plain Stiles accessories with the diamond necklace and the charm bracelet Derek had given her. Lydia leant her a pair of Diamond earrings for the night. She wore a pair of silver flat baby doll shoes. Her hair came down in waves, with a minimum amount of makeup.
"Erica right Stiles, you look amazing" Allison walking into the room with her maternity black dress on. Of course Allison could pull off black and look beautiful.
"She better" Lydia said walking in her room in her dark green short dress, putting on a pair of earrings her hair pent up. "Tonight a special night."
That caught Stiles attention. "What's special about tonight? "
Lydia didn't miss a beat. "This is you and Derek's first Valentine's together."
"Yeah" Erica agreed happy Lydia could think of something so fast. "If you weren't pregnant now. I'm pretty sure you would be by then the end of the night."
The four friends all laughed before they heard the front door open.
"Lydia" Jackson called out from the front door "you guys ready."
"We're coming out now" Lydia replies before she ushers everyone out of her room.
There in the living room stood Jackson, Scott, Isaac and Monica, Boyd, and Derek.
Derek and Stiles instantly found each other gaze as they walked towards each other. Derek gave Stiles a light kiss on the lips before looking at her again. "You look breathtaking" he said because there was no other way to describe her to him she was the most beautiful woman on the earth.
Stiles could feel the blush creep up on her face. "Thanks" he voice coming out as a whisper. "You look very handsome" Stiles said talking in Derek appearance.
Derek was wearing a black suit with a white dress leaving the first two button unbutton and a pair of black dress shoes. His beard was replaced with smooth clean shave and hair was styled in it's usually hairstyle.
Stiles remember what Erica had just said a few minutes ago and realize the blonde was right. If she wasn't pregnant right now she would be by tonight because right now Derek is looking very doable.
"You okay" Derek asked seeing the daze look in Stiles eyes.
"Umm...yeah" Stiles said pushing all the x rated thoughts to the back of her mind. "You ready" she asked intertwining their hands.
"Yeah" Derek smiled.
When Derek and Stiles turn to leave she finally notice the guys in their suits, and Monica in her blue cocktail dress. "You guys look great." She said before heading out the door with a wave goodbye.
Derek walks her to the Camaro that park on in street. Opening the passenger side door for Stiles before closing it, before going to the driver side and driving towards the restaurant.

"Reservations" The male host asked as Derek and Stiles walked into Angela's.
"Umm...yes Hale" Derek said. Lydia and Erica had told him to that everything was in his name and that when it was time for the big surprise they would send him a message.
The way the man eyes widened before going back to normal let Derek know he was expecting him. Looking over at Stiles afraid she might have seen the host reaction.
He released a breath when he seen Stiles looking around the restaurant.
"Please Mr. Hale this way" he motion with his hand around the stand to a blond waiter. "Ben please take Mr. Hale and his lady to their seats."
The blond smiles. "Please follow me." Ben said turning walking up the steps.
Stiles was blown away by the restaurant. The restaurant gave off this romantic, fairytale vibe off. The tables had a red/white tie dye table cloth and a single candle lit on the table set between the couples. The also was a stage with a live band playing romantic songs, and they had couple slow dancing right in front of the stage.
"Here's your seats" Ben the waiter said stopping at a table with the view of the band and dancing couples.
"Thank you" Derek said pulling out Stiles chair for her to sit. Stiles smiles at her boyfriend as she takes her seat and let's Derek push the seat in.
"Here are your menus" Ben places the menus he was carrying under his arms on the table. "I'll be back in a few minutes to take your order."
"This is beautiful" Stiles said speaking for the first time entering the restaurant. Her eyes still wondering around the places.
"You're beautiful" Derek said. Then he closes his eyes realizing how corny that sounds.
Stiles laughs. She likes when Derek sounds corny it makes him seem more human and plus it's funny and what girl doesn't love a guy who can make them laugh. "Thanks" Stiles manage to say after she's done laughing.
They both start looking over the menu deciding on what to order, so when Ben returned both orders the steak, and since Stiles couldn't drink alcohol they both ordered the best alternative fruit mocktail.
After Ben brings the food and drinks he swiftly drops a note onto Derek lap and leave. The alpha werewolf quickly opens the note and reads it.
20 mins all of me will be sung. Ask her to dance and let her back face the stage.
Lydia
Okay they were here, and he was about to ask Stilez to marry him. He asked the twins friend Kayla what would happen, but Amber and Junior stopped her from answering. They reason was for to see his heartfelt proposal.
Stiles and Derek eat their steaks with a little chit chat as they enjoy the female singer and her band start to sing a cover of All of Me by John Legend.
"I love this song" Stiles said listening to the woman sing.
"Me too" Derek agrees. Especially since all of the teenagers sing this everything if comes on the radio. "Would you like to dance." He asks following Lydia directions.
"I would love too" Stiles smiles as Derek gets up and holds his hand out for Stiles. She places her hand in his and let's Derek led her to where the other couples are dancing.
Derek place both hands on Stiles lower back as she puts her arms around her neck and lay her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes as they sway to the song.
Even after the woman is done singing Stiles stayed in Derek arms enjoying the closeness of Derek. She could stay like this forever in Derek big stronger arms.
Derek watched as the brunette singer and her band walked off the stage only for Junior, his blond friend Jared, Sam, and light skinned friend Bobby walk on the stage all wearing a white dress shirt and a different color tie, and the black dress pants and shoes.
The couples that are paying any attention stop their dancing or eating dinner interest in what a bunch of teenage boys are about to do.
Bobby goes and sit behind the drums, Sam stands to the right with acoustic guitar and Junior stands across from him with his white acoustic guitar they both have microphones in front of them, and Jared standing front and center in front of another mic.
"We're dedicating this one to two special people tonight." Jared said. His blue tie matching his blue eyes. "This one for you Mr. Hale and Ms. Stilinski."
Stiles eyes pop open at Derek and her last names being said. She's surprise at who she sees sitting at one of the table closest to the stage. The whole pack Amber as a big grin on her face, Scotty has his video camera out recording, all the adults have smiles on their faces.
"Derek" Stiles calls in a light voice. When Derek looks at her Stiles can see nothing but pure love coming from the man in front of her. "What's going on?" She has a feeling, but she doesn't want to be wrong.
Plus why would the pack be here and why hadn't she seen them earlier.
"Just listen" Derek said placing a light kiss on Stiles lips, before turning her around to see Junior and his friend's performance.
Bobby starts playing the drums at slow pace, before Sam starts playing the guitar. Jared then opens his mouth and sings.

Junior joins in on playing his guitar. Stiles recognizes the song smiles, this was one of her favorite songs going up. She also finds out Jared sings like an angel with his light, youthful, and warm voice.

All four boys start to sing in harmony with each other. Getting small cheers from their dates. Stiles and Derek just sway to the music while watching the performance.

Jared grabs his mic off of the stand while he continue to sing and walk to the spot Junior was just at, Junior hand over his guitar to Jared.

Bobby, Sam, and Jared keep playing the instrumental beat going as Junior begins to speak.
"Dad I think this is your turn." He said into the mic giving his dad a nod.
Stiles already has tears in her eyes from the boys singing, but as she watches a Derek pulls out a small black box from his pants pocket and gets down on one knee the tears began to fall.
"Oh my god Derek" Stiles sobs happily. "Yes..yes..god yes"
"Mom wait till he ask." Junior said with a big grin on his face as he prepares for his dad proposal.
Derek looks up at Stiles with tears in his own eyes. "Stiles Stilinski I'd planned on doing this fourteen years ago, but it didn't work out like that." Derek begins. "And I'm okay with that because you're back and I don't plan on living another day without you or my two amazing children you've given me and the one we're about to have." Derek voice is now trembling as tears began to fall down his face. "So in front of all our family and friends and these other people" Derek opens the box to reveal a one carat round-cut fourteen karat white gold ring. The big diamond on the ring was surrounded by numerous diamond in an elegant twist. "Stiles Stilinski will you make me the happiest man and marry me?"
Stiles takes a quick glance around at all of her friends and family all the girls are crying and mouthing "Say Yes", The guys are wearing matching smirks as they nod for her to answer. She looks at Junior on the stage a few feet away from her and see him rocking back and forth o her to answer Derek.
Not really trusting her voice at this time Stiles nods as she holds her hand out to Derek. "Yes Derek" she manage to get out even though it came out as more of a whisper. "I'll marry you sour wolf"
Derek face breaks out into a big grin before he slides the ring on to Stiles finger, then pulling her into a deep passionate kiss. Everyone in the restaurant cheers and claps. When Derek and Stiles pull away for oxygen Junior and the guy start up the last of the song up.

There was another round of applause from the crowd as the boys finished and took a bow.
