Lana wakes up and rolls over onto her back before rubbing her eyes. She stretches as she sits up and looks around the dark room. Raph's hammock is empty signaling it's probably late into the night. Lana gets up and throws a sweatshirt on before walking out of the room and down the stairs. She yawns as she walks into the kitchen before bending down and searching the fridge.

"You're up late."

Lana jumps and spins around seeing Leo sitting there with a surprised face. Lana sighs and tries to calm her pounding heart.

"You can't do that to me."

"Ninja remember?"

Lana nods and shuts the fridge door.

"…Raph said I should talk to you."

"Raph said that?"

Lana nods and sits down across from him.

"You'd be surprised at the things he says."

"He doesn't usually speak to me unless it's to yell an array of expletives."

"Yes well that part of his vocabulary is vast."

Leo smirks and nods.

"That's an understatement."

Lana nods and studies the table.

"Listen, Leo-"

"You don't have to do this."

"Yes I do."

She looks at him and he nods slightly letting her continue.

"I've been horrible to you since you've come home. That wasn't right. You didn't deserve that."

"…maybe not all of it."

Lana smirks and shrugs.

"That I agree with."

Leo smiles slightly and visibly gets more comfortable.

"…but I meant everything I said Leo."

"You always do."

Lana sighs and nods.

"…you know I didn't leave to hurt you right?"

"Of course. Splinter-"

"And I chose to not come back on time. Me."

She nods and he nods back.

"Good. Neither one of my decisions had anything to do with you."

Lana makes a hurt face and Leo realizes he said the wrong thing.

"That doesn't mean that I didn't think of you…you were my best friend Lana."

She smiles slightly and nods.

"You were mine too."

"I didn't want you to be mad at me but I knew you would be."

"I have Raph's temper. I get mad at everything."

Leo smiles and shakes his head.

"No you're far less violent."

"That bruise on your chin doesn't exactly prove that theory."

Leo rubs his jaw and winces.

"Ya that was a good shot."

"Thanks."

He laughs and so does she. Eventually they relax into each other's company and talk about the things they'd missed in each other's lives.

"So how was California?"

She rolls her eyes and shrugs.

"It was fine. My sister can be so annoying though."

"Oh really?"

"She just kept asking about my life and dad and everything."

"So she was being a good sister?"

Lana gives Leo a look and he shrugs with a laugh.

"We have different definitions I suppose."

Leo nods and shakes his head.

"Now why're you working for your dad?"

"He gave me a job…along with his company."

Leo's eyes go wide as he looks at her.

"His billion dollar corporation?"

"Trillion dollar actually, but ya…I haven't signed the contract yet."

Leo nods and shrugs.

"Well you know what's best."

"You're the only one to tell me that."

"Did Donnie say you should do it because it'd be stupid not to?"

"Yep and Raph didn't understand why I wouldn't want the money."

Leo nods.

"Makes sense. What about Mikey?"

"I don't think Mikey would have cared as long as I continue to buy him pizza."

Leo laughs and nods.

"That's true…well you're going to do what's best. You always do."

Lana shrugs.

"Not always."

"Oh?"

"…I hit a guy with a beer bottle."

"Did he deserve it?"

"That's the exact same thing Raph asked me."

"Well we are brothers."

Lana makes a face and slaps the table.

"No way."

Leo rolls his eyes and flips her off making her chuckle.

"You know, you're never this vulgar in public."

"Should I be?"

She shakes her head.

"No I like this secret side of you."

"It's not a secret if others know about it."

Lana smirks.

"That's true…"

Leo smiles at her and she smiles back putting themselves into a comfortable silence.

"…are we okay now?"

"As okay as we can be right now."

"…I hit you."

"Ya you did…It hurt, just so you know."

Lana sighs and puts her head on the table. Leo watches her in amusement before getting up and picking up her glass.

"It didn't hurt that bad Lana."

Lana glances up at him and smirks.

"Yes it did."

"Felt like a Foot soldier."

Lana looks at him and flips him off.

"Now you're just being rude."

Leo smirks and shrugs.

"You hit me, I get to be rude."

Lana laughs and nods.

"True."

Leo puts the glasses in the sink and walks back over to the table.

"…you look really tired."

"I am really tired. Don't tell Raph."

"Speaking of Raph, where is he?"

Lana shrugs and stands before stretching her back out.

"Ow."

"It's Raph's bed isn't it?"

Lana nods sheepishly.

"It's comfortable but-"

"Lumpy? Ya, makes sense. He never really slept in it. The only indent would be from his shell."

"But he hates sleeping on his back."

"We all do."

Lana nods.

"Makes sense about the hammock then. He can easily get up."

Leo nods.

"Exactly. I could never sleep in it, but Raph isn't really like me."

"Ya he is."

Lana smirks at Leo who just rolls his eyes.

"Don't let him know that…anyways what I was heading towards was that you should take my bed."

"Your bed?"

"You know it's the most comfortable one down here."

"True…by the way thanks for that pillow."

"Pillow? You know where my pillow went?"

Lana tries to hold down her laughs as she shakes her head. Leo looks down at her and Lana just smiles back before walking out of the kitchen.

"I want it back!"

Lana turns around and looks at him sternly.

"Leonardo! Indoor voices."

Leo shakes his head and smirks.

"You're a jerk."

She shrugs and walks off again.

"I've been called worse."

"Ya by me!"

She laughs and walks up the stairs and into Raph's room. Leo watches her with a smirk before yawning and going to his room.
