"So you're just going to run in there, get Leo and Lana, then get out?"
"That's about it."
Lexi watches as they grab their weapons and go over the plan one more time.
"…and I just stay here?"
Mikey looks at Lexi and nods before walking over.
"Babe you have to stay here. You don't know how to fight and we don't want you getting hurt because of us…"
Lexi looks up at him before standing.
"I can fight…"
"You can?"
"Well I can protect myself at least."
Mikey smiles and rest his hand on her shoulder. She grabs his arm and flips him over before Mikey twists out of the grip to land on his feet. He looks at her surprised and she smiles innocently.
"Who taught you that?"
"I'm tiny. My mom signed me up for self defense classes when I turned 7."
Mikey raises a brow.
"Why didn't you mention this?"
"No one asked…"
Donnie shakes his head and laughs before packing up the last of his stuff into his bag.
"She can totally kick your ass bro."
Mikey smirks.
"…That doesn't bug me."
Lexi smiles and shrugs.
"So am I coming?"
"No."
Lexi groans but nods.
"Okay fine. I'm no match for those generals."
"You're right."
Lexi glares at Raph who just continues to pack his weapons.
"This is the safest place for ya. You know that."
"Well…obviously, but this is Lana! She wouldn't take no for an answer."
Raph looks up from what he's doing and nods.
"You're right, and look what happened."
Lexi looks at him sadly before flopping onto the couch in frustration. Raph watches her before grabbing the rest of his stuff and walking out with Casey, Donnie, and Master Splinter. Mikey watches them go before walking over to the couch.
"We'll be back soon with Lana. Order some pizza if you want."
"I can't eat with Lana in danger."
Mikey looks down at her before leaning over the couch.
"She's fine babe. No worries. Lana is a real tough girl."
Lexi looks up at him before nodding.
"…you're right."
Mikey smiles and pretends to steal her nose before waving and running out. He quickly jumps into the van and they slide the door shut. Casey looks at him before quickly backing out and driving through the streets.
"Everyone clear on the plan?"
"Ya dude."
"Let's kick some stone ass."
April laughs at Casey before agreeing.
At the tower the generals send the Foot to protect the front of the building while they prepare to open the portal. Lana pulls on the last metal gauntlet and clenches her hand before grabbing her swords and spinning them. The glowing stone on her chest stands out against the grey metal.
"Are you ready?"
Lana nods to her uncle before walking out. The clanging her metal footwear makes against the marble floor radiates down the hallway.
"Lana, good. Are you prepared to officially become part of this family?"
Lana smirks and nods before glancing at her dad. Winters looks at his daughter sadly before cursing his brothers again. Lana ignores him and walks around the portal looking at the swirling lights.
"How long?"
"One hour."
She nods and looks towards the door.
"Are they ready?"
"Of course."
She turns back towards the portal before jumping out of the way as the door is forced open behind her.
"I thought you said they were ready."
"You cannot trust mortals."
Lana watches as the turtles run in with Casey, April, and Splinter. Casey quickly smashes a vase sending the whole building into lockdown.
"Smart."
The other generals appear next to Lana and Aguila ready to fight.
"Lana?!"
Lana stares at the turtles and says nothing.
"What are you doing?"
Raph looks from her face to the stone on her chest.
"…she's being controlled."
"And thanks to her father, with the help of my necklace, all the anger and negative emotions are now fueling her rage against all of you."
"I knew that necklace was bad news."
"For you maybe. Now, she's helping her family."
Raph glares at Serpiente who smirks back at him.
"We're her family."
Lana looks from all of their faces before pulling her swords out of their sheaths.
"I guess she disagrees."
Their hands tighten on all their weapons.
"Finish them."
Lana nods to Aguila before rushing them and flipping over their heads. She lands and quickly sweeps Casey's feet out from under him. As he falls she twists to deliver a blow but Donnie blocks it with his staff and forces her back. Lana looks at him before kicking him in his plastron and flipping backwards. Donnie recovers and swings his bo around hitting her in the arm but she doesn't flinch. Donnie's eyes go wide in surprise but he quickly recovers and charges her again.
Aguila fights Michelangelo but the orange-banded turtle blocks and dodges almost every attack.
"We need to get Leo!"
"Be my guest!"
Raph growls before kicking the female general in the chest. She slides back a few feet before charging again.
"Why are you trying so hard? You know you can't win."
"She's a part of my family."
She smirks and strikes him.
"Oh? So this is all about your little girlfriend?"
"She's not my girlfriend gravel head."
Raph kicks her but she recovers and swings her blade around to have them be caught by his sai. She leans on him making his knee bend.
"Oh now you have my attention. Which one of you belongs to her?"
She sweeps his feet and throws him to the floor before leaning down with her blade on his neck.
"It's obviously not you…"
She smiles and watches at he takes an angry breath.
"…but you want it to be. That's the only reason you'd be fighting this hard."
Raph shifts under her but the blade on his neck keeps his from moving too much.
"Let me tell you something about love turtle, it never ends well. Soul mates and lovers are too very different things and they never collide…"
Raph stares into her red eyes and tries not to let her words get to him.
"And which was your fiancé?"
"…a mistake."
Raph moves his hand into position and gets ready to strike but her voice pauses him.
"Figure out which side your pretty little family member sits on before it's too late for you. After all, she is a day, and you are a fleeting second…"
Raph yells and kicks her off of him before flipping up. She recovers and looks at him scathingly.
"What tha hell does that mean?"
She smirks and runs at him again.
"Lana snap out of this."
Lana stares at Donnie before attacking again. Donnie defends himself and gasps as she pushes him back.
"…You've gotten stronger."
She nods with a smirk before flipping over his head and running off. He chases her but Aguila steps in forcing him to stop.
"Raph look out!"
Raph spins and blocks an attack from her before throwing her back.
"Thanks Donnie."
Raph spins his sai and watches her. She spins her katana in her hands before waving at him to attack. Serpiente disappears up the stairs watching them free their brother. She rolls her eyes before glancing up at her oldest brother and starting her ascent.
"I don't want to hurt you Lana."
"Of course you don't."
Lana spins and kicks but Raph catches her ankle making her stare at him.
"Fight this. We're here ta save ya."
"You couldn't even protect me."
Raph's eyes widen slightly and she flips back sending him reeling with a hiss of pain.
"You ran off!"
"You let me."
Lana lands gracefully and charges him. Their weapons clash and Raph spins kicking her in the stomach. Lana groans before punching him in the jaw. He pushes her back and rubs a hand over his jaw.
"Nice."
Lana charges him again but Raph blocks and elbows her in the back. She arches back and Raph swipes her feet making her land hard.
"You might be strong, but you're not nearly as good as I am princess."
Lana growls and flips up.
"I am not a princess!"
Raph catches her and wrestles her to the ground.
"Lana stop this!"
Lana yells angrily and head-butts Raph before rolling over and standing up. Before she can attack again, Karai jumps down and grabs her before wrapping her in a chain. Lana struggles and yells angrily as a few of the Foot members hold her back.
"Karai?"
Raph rubs his head and glares at her.
"We are here to help."
"You've done enough."
"Destroying the world is not what we want."
Raph glares but nods before turning and looking at April and Casey.
"…We need the final monster. Go with them."
Karai nods and lets Lana go before running out with them. Raph kicks Lana in the chest sending her flying. She rolls when she hits the ground making Raph quickly run over.
"Dammit I'm sorry-"
Lana flips up and kicks him easily slashing him with the blade on her metal boot. He clasps his bicep as blood rolls down his arm. She goes to kick him again but he throws her leg and spins her to him. He catches her to his plastron and she struggles to get free giving Raph time to look and see what's happening around him. Leo split kicks two of the generals making Raph smile slightly even with the burning in his arm.
"Let me go!"
He throws Lana to the side and wraps her in a chain before running off to help Leo. Lana falls to the ground with a growl before screaming at Raph.
"You won't win Raphael! All you do is wreck things!"
Raph growls at her words before charging into battle.
Serpiente walks up the stairs and looks at her brother chained to the wall.
"How does it feel to watch your daughter destroy what she loves?"
He glares down at her and says nothing.
"Nothing to say?"
She takes a step forward so she can look him in the eyes.
"Go to Hell."
He quickly kicks his legs up and sends her flying backwards. He yanks himself free and charges her sending them both over the edge. They hit the ground hard cracking the tile before he rolls off of her.
"Whoa is he okay?"
He quickly sits up and takes a deep breath. Mikey jumps and watches him get up.
"…turtles?"
"…human?"
He laughs slightly before slapping him on the shoulder and running to help Splinter keep the monsters in the portal.
"Raph?!"
Raph runs up he stairs and kicks Aguila's chest making him take a step back.
"Need some help?"
"Where's Lana?"
They both dodge and attack before Raph answers.
"Ground floor."
"You can't help her turtles."
"That's not the first time we've heard that…"
Leo glares at him before attacking harder. Raph glances at him before doing the same. They both knock him onto the ground floor and quickly jump down joining the others.
"How do we stop them?"
"When the final monster is pushed into the portal they need to be in there as well!"
Leo nods at Winters before getting ready to attack. All of them follow their brother's lead.
"Leonardo!"
Leo turns and clashes swords with Lana. She flips back and throws the chain onto the ground. Leo stares at her and her red eyes before slightly looking at his brothers.
"Go."
Leo charges Lana forcing them back. They fight away from the portal and she doesn't hold back. Raph watches them flip and kick before focusing on his own fight. Leo spins and they clash swords again making Lana growl.
"Good footwork."
Lana glares at him before going for a kick. Leo pushes her leg out of the way and sweeps her feet. She falls hard but quickly flips over.
"Lana I don't want to hurt you."
"That's what your brother said."
"You're family."
Lana stares at him emotionlessly before charging him. He catches her and they roll from the force of her jump with her ending up on top of him. Their swords are gone and she glares down at him. Lana goes to punch him but he catches her hand.
"That's all I ever was…family."
Leo's surprised by the way she spits that word at him.
"That's not true."
Lana smirks and chuckles darkly.
"Is this where you tell me you love me? How pathetic."
Lana tries to punch him again but he catches that fist too.
"Lana I-"
Before she can say anything the van comes crashing through the wall and slides out of the way as a giant monster slides in. Leo flips them over and covers her as some rubble falls. A loud blast rolls through the room making Leo hold onto Lana tighter. After a few seconds he sits up and looks at her. Lana's eyes are closed but the stone on her chest is no longer glowing.
"…Lana?"
She opens her eyes and stares at him. He quickly gets up and helps her stand. She gets onto her feet and looks around.
"Lana!"
Winters runs over and hugs her tightly.
"Are you okay?"
She nods and looks him over.
"What happened?"
"…you don't remember?"
She shakes her head and looks down at herself.
"What am I wearing?"
He looks sad and she sees a few tears in his eyes when she looks back up at him.
"…what's wrong?"
"I wish I had more time to tell you everything…my immortality is gone Lana…"
"What? What are you trying to say?"
Lana looks around at everyone frantically before her dad hugs her again.
"I'm sorry. For everything."
"Dad-"
"I am. You are everything I hoped you would be and more. I love you."
"No dad…."
Lana wipes at the tears rolling down her face and he hugs her tighter. Splinter pulls his sons back to give them some space. They all look on sadly.
"Tell your sister I love her."
"I don't know what's happening…I don't want you to go. I'm sorry-"
"Don't say that. I know you don't fully understand what's going on, but you have nothing to be sorry for."
She looks up at him as tears blur her vision. He smiles down at Lana and takes a step back while still holding her hand.
"Be good."
"You know I can't promise that."
He smiles and kisses her forehead.
"I'll always be with you…"
Lana nods and cries even harder as he smiles into the sun and closes his eyes. He slowly lifts off into the air and his hand slips from hers. Lana watches before turning away and crying. When she finally spins the dust has settled and her dad is gone. She wipes at her eyes one more time before taking off her gauntlets and throwing them on the ground. She rips at the other parts of her outfit in anger before Raph speaks.
"Lana stop."
Raph walks over and gently grabs her biceps. She pushes him back and looks at them all sadly before slipping the metal boots off.
"Lana-"
She looks up at them as tears fall down her face and Raph lowers his outstretched hand sadly. Lana shakes her head at them before running a hand through her hair.
"I can't do this."
She throws another piece of armor onto the ground before turning and running out of the building. They all start to run after her but Splinter calls them back.
"Let her go."
"But we have to-"
"She has experienced too much today and has not remembered most of it…she will find us when she is ready."
Raphael looks at him before nodding.
"…Leonardo?"
They all spin and see that Leo's gone.
"Great."
They all return home and Lexi jumps off the couch looking at them hopefully.
"…where's Lana?"
Raph looks at her before stomping off into the dojo angrily. His brothers watch him sadly before looking back at the small red head.
"She's fine. We rescued her."
Lexi frowns and shakes her head.
"Then where is she?"
"…we don't know."
"You lost her?"
"We didn't lose her-"
"But you don't know where she is."
Donnie sighs and nods before walking towards the stairs. Lexi watches him before whipping out her phone and dialing Lana. When her phone goes straight to voicemail she groans and ruffles her hair.
"That was cute."
She looks up at Mikey and sees him smiling at her from his seat in the kitchen chair. She walks over and sits in the adjacent chair before putting her forehead on the cool wood.
"Everything okay?"
"I can't believe you're asking me that."
Mikey quirks a brow and she looks at him while sweeping her eyes over his bruises and minor cuts.
"Are you okay?"
He shrugs and gets up to walk to the sink.
"I'm fine babe. Just a few scratches and bruises."
He wipes away some dried blood with a paper towel before looking back at her. She smiles shyly at him before he casts his gaze to the floor.
"Lexi?"
"Yes?"
"…is there something here?"
Lexi blinks at him before nodding.
"Yes."
"Really?"
"Absolutely...you're a great guy Mikey."
He gives her his signature smile before walking over to her.
"That statement means a lot more to me than you'll ever know."
She frowns but he leans down and kisses her quickly. She blinks rapidly at him as he pulls back, but she stands and crushes her lips to his. She smiles into the kiss and kisses his beak before backing up.
"…whoa."
He smiles at her and she blushes.
"That was okay?"
"More than okay babe."
She leans against the table and smiles wider when he takes her hand in his leading her towards the stairs.
"Where are we going?"
"Upstairs."
She smiles and twirls in front of him.
"Are we going to play doctor?"
She winks and he quickly throws her over his shoulder making her laugh as he runs up the stairs and into his room.
I know I didn't do the epic fight scene between Raph and Leo, so sorry for that, but in other news this story is coming to an end really soon. I plan on continuing with another story! Hopefully you've all been enjoying it so far!
