The next morning Lana sighs into her pillow before slowly opening her eyes. Sun filters through her blinds and illuminates the room. She rolls onto her back and pulls the covers further up on her body before stretching out. She blinks a few times before looking over at a sleeping Leo lying on his plastron next to her. Her eyes roam his face and notice where his bandana would be resting is slightly lighter than the rest of his green skin. His eyes are closed and he looks peaceful as he sleeps but she can see a bruise forming on the side of his head.

"Morning."

Lana jumps slightly and mentally kicks herself. Ninja.

"Morning…how long have you been up?"

"A few minutes."

He opens an eye to look up at her.

"…your hair is crazy."

Lana runs a hand through it before shrugging and leaning back down onto the pillows.

"That's what I get for sleeping on it."

He smirks and chuckles.

"Yeah…sleeping."

Lana rolls her eyes but smiles anyways.

"Shut up."

Leo laughs and closes his eyes again as she rolls and puts her face back onto the pillow and sighs.

"Are you still tired?"

"Of course. You obviously are too."

Leo nods and rolls over onto his side.

"I am…I would sleep all day if I could."

"Who says you can't?"

"Me."

"Well, I say we both deserve a day off."

Lana smiles and she pulls the covers higher up on her shoulders. Leo watches her and smiles barely before throwing an arm around her stomach and pulling her to his plastron. Lana looks over at him before getting comfortable in his arms. He pulls the blankets over them and lays his head on her shoulder before breathing in their mixed scent.

"…I missed this."

"Me too…"

Lana stares at his hand on her stomach and sighs.

"I think we should talk."

"Okay."

Lana turns in his arms and looks up at his face. He looks down at her with an unreadable expression.

"What I said before this happened…we're still just friends…I'm not ready to go back to the way we were."

"I know."

"…are you okay with that?"

"…A few weeks ago we weren't even speaking, so yes, I'm okay with being just friends…"

Lana nods and curls her fingers over his plastron.

"I just wanted to make sure…"

He sighs and rests his chin on top of her head.

"It's fine Lana."

"Okay."

Lana closes her eyes and Leo sighs before hugging her tighter. They stay like that for a few more hours until Lana gets up and heads into the shower. Leo watches her go before stretching and getting dressed himself.

Raph growls as his call goes to voicemail again.

"No answer?"

"No."

Mikey stares at him before glancing at Lexi who's pacing behind the couch. She sighs and leans against the back of the couch, making Mikey sit up. He puts his head on her shoulder and she looks at him before he wraps his arms around her and pulls her back. The small girl sighs before flopping onto the cushions. Mikey looks down at her with a smile and she smiles back before sitting up and fixing her shorts. She's dressed in a loose white lace tank top and navy shorts. Her hair is curled around her face but she looks tired.

"Remind me again…how did you lose them?"

She looks over at Donnie who glances up before going back to his invention.

"We didn't lose them per say-"

"Do you know where they are?"

Lexi raises a brow at Donnie and he makes a face.

"Well, no."

"Then you lost them."

Donnie shrugs.

"I guess we did."

Mikey looks at his brother incredulously.

"Thanks for the backup Donnie."

Donnie shrugs before jumping slightly when sparks erupt from the wires. Lexi quirks a brow with a smirk before chuckling.

"Do you want some-"

"No."

Lexi makes a face but Donnie looks at her jokingly. Raph puts his phone down before kicking the chair. Lexi looks back over at him sadly. Mikey looks over too and sighs before standing up.

"I'm sure they're fine Raph."

He looks at his younger brother and nods.

"Ya me too...I just wished they'd answer their damn phones."

Mikey gives him his classic smile and pats his shoulder.

"No worry dude. I'm sure they'll walk through the door soon enough."

Raph nods and watches his brother walk and flip over the couch to sit next to Lexi again. He sees her smile and lean against the orange-banded turtle. Raph leans onto the table before grimacing and sitting back up. He looks down at his bandaged forearm before swearing when he sees the blood seeping through.

"Dammit."

"What's wrong?"

Raph spins and stares at Lana who looks at him worriedly. He quickly stands and grabs her before hugging her to him tightly. Lana goes stiff before wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him back. Raph pulls back after a minute and looks down at her sternly.

"Where the hell have ya been?"

"My apartment-"

"She was at her fucking apartment! You didn't check her apartment?!"

They both look back at Lexi who's standing on the couch yelling at Mikey and Donnie. Lana laughs at their scared expressions before looking back at Raph.

"I had to get my head together…I'm sorry."

Raph lets her go and looks down at her.

"Yer sorry? Fer what?"

"For not answering my phone, for running away…for pushing you away."

"Don't worry 'bout it..."

Lana smiles slightly and nods before wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him again. Raph smiles slightly and hugs her back. The sound of the elevator door shutting makes him look up from the hug. He nods to Leo who slips around them. Leo nods back with a slight smile and walks into the living room.

"Leo!"

Lexi jumps off the couch and runs up to him hugging him tightly. He smiles and hugs her back before hugging Donnie and Mikey. Lexi runs over to Lana and jumps onto her while wrapping her legs around her tightly. Lana laughs and hugs her back.

"I was so worried about you!"

"I'm sorry Lexi."

"As you should be."

Lana smiles and laughs at her.

"I'm surprised you didn't rush me the second I got back here."

"Looked like you and Raph needed a moment…"

Lana smiles sadly at her before smiling and playing with her curled hair. Leo watches them before looking away and walking up the stairs and into his room. Lana watches him sadly before hugging Mikey tightly.

"I'm glad you're back babe."

"Me too Mikey...thanks for coming to get me guys."

They all smile at her before going to make lunch. After exchanging hugs and pleasantries Lana follows Raph into his room.

"I need your help."

"With?"

"I need you to change my bandage from where you cut me."

Lana frowns but nods. She takes out the first aid kit in his room and unwraps the sterile needles as he sits on the bed.

"Why didn't you ask Donnie to do this? It's going to get infected."

"Well, yer the one who did it."

Lana chuckles and nods.

"Sorry about that. Did Donnie stitch you up?"

"Ya. He did a good job too."

"Always does."

"True, but you know how to make the scar small."

Lana raises a brow before smirking.

"I thought you like scars?"

"Not when they come from girls."

Lana makes a face at him before he laughs.

"I'm kidding."

"You better be…I can kick your ass."

Raph smiles and shakes his head before letting her get to work on his bandage. She unwraps it and sees the popped stitches before working in silence for a few moments.

"You're all done."

"That was fast."

"I've never heard that before."

Raph rolls his eyes at her making her laugh. She cleans up the mess and throws the trash away. Raph watches her walk across the room before lying back onto the bed.

"So where'd you go?"

"I ran home."

"That's it?"

She nods and walks back to the bed before lying down.

"Pretty much."

Raph nods and stares at her waiting for her to continue. When she doesn't he pushes her.
"…Leo obviously followed."

"Yes."

"…and?"

Lana glances at him.

"And what?"

"…nothing happened?"

"None of your business."

Raph raises a brow and looks down at her seriously.

"…seriously? I can smell him on you."

Lana's eyes go wide and she covers her face in embarrassment.

"…you can?"

"Ya I can."

Lana peeks up at him and he looks at her sternly.

"You slept with him?"

"…no."

She peeks at him over her arms and he stands up.

"Damn Lana!"

Lana sits up and points at him.

"You're the one that's always telling me to get laid!"

Raph looks at her surprised.

"I have never once told you that!"

Lana sighs and flops back onto the bed.

"I know…"

Raph stares at her and she slowly sits back up staring back at him confidently.

"I don't regret it…"

"Good."

Raph looks at her and sighs before sitting back down on the bed.

"…I'm not going to ask you if it was any good."

Lana smirks and looks at him.

"Good. That'd be weird."

Raph nods and lies beside her.

"Are you both datin' now?"

"No."

He raises a brow before looking at her in confusion.

"Are ya in similar like?"

"…yes."

"So…?"

"Just friends."

Raph raises a brow.

"Just friends?"

"Just friends. I made sure we were both on the same page."

Raph shakes his head.

"There's no page on love Lana."

"Are you trying to be deep?"

"No, but it's workin'…besides, sleeping together doesn't make ya just friends. Yer friends with benefits but neither one of you is inta that."

Lana stares at the ceiling but doesn't respond.

"…I don't want to hurt him."

Raph rubs the back of his neck before looking at her seriously.

"Do ya really think Leo hasn't thought of every way you two getting back together could go wrong? That's all he does. He's constantly thinking the worst…he obviously doesn't think it could go that badly if he slept with ya…"

Lana sighs before looking at him.

"What if I'm not ready?"

"Then yer not ready, but be honest about it…I'm not tryin ta tell ya what to do, but pretendin' to not like him won't get ya anywhere."

She sits in silence before nodding.

"You're right...when'd you get so smart?"

He smiles slightly before pushing her shoulder.

"I've always been this smart…besides now that the necklace is gone, you shouldn't be as angry anymore."

She makes a face.

"What?"

"That necklace was controllin all of yer anger…now that it's gone you'll be back ta yer normal self."

She looks surprised before nodding.

"Right…That'll probably help a lot."

"You weren't exactly pleasant…"

"Especially to Leo."

Raph nods.

"Well I'm sure he's already forgiven ya."

"Maybe."

Lana stares at her feet with a small smile playing on her lips. Raph laughs quickly and smirks down at her.

"…so was he any good?"

Lana throws a pillow at his face making him roll off the bed. She smirks and stands up.

"Better than you'd be I'm sure."

Raph glares at her and stands up.

"Hey! That's not fair! Ya have no comparison! Take that back Lana!"

"Never!"

Raph takes off after her and slams the door shut behind him. Lana laughs and sprints down the stairs with Raph right on her heels.

So this is where I'm going to end this story. I know that we haven't actually gotten to the bottom of Leo and Lana's relationship, but I promise we will when I continue the story which I fully plan to do!
