"A case. A murder. Anything. Anything at all, just call me in to consult."

I huffed a laugh. "Really? And why should I do that?"

"I'm begging you," Harry pleaded. He really did sound desperate. "Trolls, goblins, werewolves, elves, Bigfoot, anything. I'll take it."

I thought for a second, then came to an epiphany. "Ah. Just not vampires, right?"

His groan confirmed my guess. "Hell's bells, Murph. You have no idea."

I grinned evilly. "Sorry, Harry. There's nothing."

I hung up, and instructed Stallings to not call him about the poltergeist.
