*Takes place after Christina's Party*
Tris
Christina and I walk along the train tracks, so far she has told me the whole time she was there he parents were crying, she cried only once, at he funeral when they lowered Rose's body in the ground.
"I'm glad you stayed strong Christina." I say.
"Yeah, it was hard, very hard. It's like your brother, what's his name...Caleb, it'd be like if he died, not the best image but that's just an example." She says.
"Yeah. I don't think I want to think about that."
"Tris." Christina says after a while of silence.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think it was her heart, like you know an accident?" I would say no, but I don't think Christina knows about the Divergent.
"I don't know, it could be, but I'm not sure." I say, that is as honest as I will be with her, I couldn't just say, 'Well I mean she could be Divergent and since Jeanine want's all Divergent dead then she kissed Rose.' That wouldn't be right at all.
"Yeah, it just didn't seem...right, you know, like no one was really allowed to talk about what happen."
"Yeah, that is kind of weird." I say.
"Well, Tris, thanks for listening. I'm going to go find Will." She says.
"Okay. See ya later." I Say, she starts inside, but turns around.
"Are you coming in?"
"No, I think I'll sit out here for a little." I say, she nods and goes inside.
I like to sit out here and think through some stuff, I get my best thinking done out here. I listen to the train in the distance, to the crickets, singing in the night, they are so peaceful. My thoughts get jumbled sometimes, I will be thinking about one thing, but then three other things come to mind, it gets annoying at times, but I never run out of things to think about.
I lay back on the ground and put my arms behind my head, I close my eyes, and just listen to the sounds around me, the wind, the train, the crickets, and...foot steps. I sit up fast and look behind me, nothing, I lay back down, and hear them again. Once again I bolt up and look behind me, and I see a man standing 5 feet away from me, its to dark to see who it is, but he looks strong, and he tall.
"Tris? Is that you?" Tobias voice says.
"Tobias?" I say quietly stepping closer to him.
"Hey, there you are. I saw Christina but not you, thought maybe you were home, but you weren't so I came out here."
"Yeah, just thought I'd do some thinking." I say, now close enough to see him.
"Mind if I join you?" He says, I take his hand and lead him to where I was laying. We lay down on the ground together, my head on his chest, he strokes my hair, its peaceful, I think more peaceful than being a lone.
It's nice to be out, and alone with Tobias, when were alone, it's in out apartment, but some one always walks in, and now we are out here, no one knows we are here, so it's nice.
"Tris, do you think Rose was really Divergent?" He says, after a while of silence.
"I don't know. But I think there is more to the story than they're telling, everyone."
"We need to find out what it is, what if they found a way to find all Divergent, even before the aptitude test."
"Then I think all Divergent are screwed."
"Probably, but not us, because we have each other, and we will fight for each other, more than anyone else will fight."
"I think you might be right, I wouldn't let anyone hurt you."
"And I wouldn't let anyone hurt you, because You're my family."
"And you're mine. I may have my parents and my brother, but, I can't see them, and I can see you everyday, and I love you more than anything."
"I'm sure you will see your family someday, maybe even sooner than you think. You never know, maybe someday when we get married they will be there."
"We're getting married?"
"Someday, if you would marry me."
"I think I would, someday." We lay in silence, when the train passes by, it's loud, I think of the first time jumping on the train, and the first time, I wanted to jump on the train, I was 10. I saw some new Dauntless initiates, jumping on the train, all their different faction colors, seeing them transform into the brave Dauntless. I think that's why I became a trainer, I like to see how some one can go from one thing to another, in a matter of day, or minutes, or even seconds, One choice can change your life. Everything you do, everyday, changes you, you may not know it, but it does.
"Do you want to go inside?" Tobias asks me still stroking my hair.
"Sure, I'm a little hungry actually." I say.
"Let's go get you some food." We both get up and walk to the dinning hall. "Come on." Tobias pull me in the kitchen, only the chefs are allowed in here.
"Tobias what are we doing?" I say in a hushed voice.
"I'm going to make you some eggs."
"I could just have a muffin you know."
"Yeah, but I want eggs too."
"Fine." I say with a laugh, we run around the kitchen grabbing items for our eggs, pepper, salt, eggs, cheese, and some ketchup. May be plain, but that's how we like it.
We cook the eggs together, putting little bits of our ingredients in. "Can you get two plates?" Tobias says.
"Yup." I say and grab two plates, he splits the eggs evenly on the plates.
"There you go, specially made for you." He says.
"I didn't know you could cook."
"There are a few things you don't know about me. This is one of them, which now you do so cross that one out."
"You're and idiot." I say, teasing him. We sit on the counter in the kitchen eating our eggs, laughing, talking, and smearing eggs on each other.
By the time we're done we both have eggs in our hair, we laugh all the way back to our apartment bumping into each other on purpose.
Once I get in our apartment, I rush to the bathroom before he can. "Come on, I called shower first!" I hear him say.
"No you didn't!" I say and turn the water on, I get on the shower and rinse the eggs, and ketchup out of my hair. When I get out I dry off and put my Pajama's on, which is just one of Tobias shirts, and a pair of shorts.
I step out of the bathroom, and let him shower, I was planing on staying awake, and waiting for him to get out but, once I get in bed I fall asleep.
Okay so this chapter kind of sucked...Oh well...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEE REVIEW!
