As always LOTR and Chronicles of Narnia don't belong to me. Sorry it's late.
They made their way to caves that surrounded the area. The Man had no idea where he was, after all he wasn't there for the final battle of the War. It was late, perhaps around midnight. They had been traveling nonstop, and it was taking a toll on him. After they passed Osgiliath, they had set him down and forced him to march. It also did not help that his hand were tied behind his back, making walking through the terrain harder.
He didn't dare escape, what with the Orcs and the Hag and the land unknown to him. All he could hope for was that the messenger had made it to the city and help was on the way. But would help be on the way? He had heard that it was the King's birthday and the whole city would be celebrating, so would they bother sending help?
For the next few hours he pondered this as he was marched to his certain death. Finally, after what seemed like ages, they reached a small cave opening. The opening was small, an Orc could barely enter through it, but the Orc carrying the Hag put her down and she entered the cave. He hesitated and was pushed into it, with the Orcs following behind him. Inside it was pitch black but then the spark appeared and it quickly turned into a torch. The Hag continued on through the cave, with the Man and the Orcs following her figure. After what felt like hours, but probably was only a couple of minutes, they entered what seemed like a cavern.
The Hag's torch could only light a small portion of the cavern, but she quickly muttered a spell and the whole cavern lit up. As the Man blinked at the sudden light, he saw a small dais holding what seemed to be a crude throne. On either side of the throne where pillars with intricate designs. To either side of the pillars were other openings that seemed to lead into pure darkness. As he observed this, he didn't hear the faint rumbling of footsteps. Then suddenly, like a swarm of bats, orcs began to come out of the openings and began to fill out the room. Their laughter and footsteps echoed in the cavern.
The Hag moved towards the dais, tapping the staff an Orc handed to her as she made her way through the horde. As she moved the horde shifted to let her pass, and with every tap it was echoed by another until all you could hear was the tapping and the Orcs. The Man was pushed into following her, and as he passed he could feel the fear creeping in his heart. What would they do to him?
As he pondered this they arrived at the dais. Once there he saw a dagger sitting on the throne. It wasn't a very beautiful dagger, but even he could see it was crafted by a master and that it was sharp. However he only saw this before he was forcibly moved in front of the pillars and forced to kneel. The Hag raised her staff and all noise stopped. Then she began to chant. As she chanted she began to drag the staff on the floor around him in a circle. She moved towards the throne and grabbed the dagger before showing it to the horde. The tapping and the chanting was no longer heard once the Orcs began to cheer.
The Hag turned towards him and began to move towards the pillars. Once she reached it she turned and let go of the staff.
"Tonight, with the blood of Adam and my magic, my Queen will be revived!" she screamed.
Then she turned back to the pillars and stabbed the ground between them with the dagger. All noise died once this occurred, and all that could be heard was their breathing. Suddenly the air became colder, so that your breath could be seen. Suddenly ice began to form around the dagger before moving towards the pillars. The ice began to interweave before forming a large mirror between the pillars.
"Bow before the Lady Jadis," the Hag said as bowed down, and slowly, the horde did the same. When I turned around towards the mirror, I saw a woman. Once I spotted her it seemed like time stood still.
She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Her skin had a green-blueish tint to her skin and her hair was floating behind her. She looked around before her gaze landed on me. She smiled softly and moved towards me.
"Hello there," she said softly.
"Hello," I said. She moved her hand towards me and it began to extend towards me.
"You are a Son of Adam," she stated. That's strange, that what that woman had called him.
"No," he said confused, "I am Erit, son of Eriten."
The woman chuckled and stroked his cheek.
"No Erit," she said "I mean to say that you are human, a Man. So, you are the one that will resurrect me?"
"I don't know how."
"It's simple Erit, all I need is you blood."
"What?" he said. He shook his head and saw that his hand was extended towards her. He tried to take the limb back but he couldn't: an Orc was holding him while the Hag held his hand. She dragged a dagger down his palm and once there was a large cut on it she backed away with the Orc. The woman moved towards him and took his hand. It was cold, almost as if it were dead.
Then her hand began to glow a dark blue, which moved through her whole body until she was glowing. Then the mirror shattered, causing Erit to shield himself. When he looked up he saw the woman standing naked before him. She spared him one look before moving towards the Hag, who handed her a robe. She put it on and sat on the throne.
"What is your name, Hag?" she asked.
"I am Anlum, my Lady," the Hag said as she bowed once more.
The woman hummed and looked around. The cavern was still lit by the torches and she could clearly see creatures she had never encountered.
"Anlum, where are we and what sort of creatures are before me?" the woman asked.
"These are Orcs, my Lady. They are strong but simple minded creatures."
"That still doesn't answer my question," the woman said.
"Please forgive me. We are in a world called Middle-Earth."
"Middle-Earth, you say?" the woman asked. She looked at the Hag with interest and something else that Erit could not name.
"Yes, my Lady. We are no longer in Narnia, my Lady. It has been destroyed."
With that the woman's eyes widened and she stood up from the throne. She grabbed the Hag by the throat and lifted her up from the ground.
"Destroyed?!" she shouted. "Destroyed by what?! Answer me!"
Anlum choked and gasped at the woman's hands.
"By Aslan," she gasped.
The woman became paler than snow and released the Hag. Anlum fell to the ground and began to cough out more answers.
"He came and destroyed it all . He saved his followers and damned the rest. I escaped with the dagger because of my magic and landed here."
She was about to continue when the woman made a silencing motion. She sat back in the throne and looked around before allowing her gaze to fall on to Erit. Then she smirked.
"So he destroyed his own world," she said softly. "And you have brought me to a new one. One where the magic is so weak it's barely there. I believe that it is time that I brought a new reign."
She looked at Anlum and commanded, "Tell me everything you know about this world and its magic."
She turned her gaze to the Orcs and shouted, "The Hag has gathered you for what I can correctly assume is to be my new followers. So be good and build me a fortress that will stand for years to come!"
The Orcs cheered and as a pack began to leave the cavern. Their echoes were the only things that were heard throughout the night.
"My Lady," the Hag said, "what shall you have me do about the Son of Adam?"
The woman turned her head towards Erit. The sweet and calming face he had seen was replaced with a beautifully horrible one, with eyes as cold as ice.
"I have no use of him. Do whatever you want. Now, tell me about my soon to be kingdom."
Again, sorry it's so late; school has kept me really busy. Anyways here is your next chapter and happy holidays!
