Gotham City

August 27, 2010, 06:17 EDT

"Ugh!" Kaldur grunted as Clayface hits him in the stomache. I looked up and the others and they are unconscious.

Kaldur spins and slams to the wall, making a little hole. I used my telekinesis and slammed Clayface to the wall. He resists and grabs me by my neck.

He lifts me up and I struggle to resists. He laughs and shouts. "Ugh! Let m-e g-o!" I yelled but the grip is getting tighter.

His other hand changes a hammer. Clayface's body stuff were on my face and within seconds, he is gonna kill me with a hammer.

I glanced above and saw Batman slams the glass, he throws two batarangs which exploded and did not work. I thought Clayface was going to drop on the ground but he throws to the wall and blood is dripping on my arm.

"No!" Kaldur yelled. Batman dodged another attack from him and uses a taser. Instantly the monster melts. Thank heavens for that.

Mount Justice

August 27, 2010, 07:58 EDT

We arrived at the Mountain and clearly my whole costume is a mess. Thankfully I healed the wound on my arm and my tight black pants were dirty along with my black and green fitting shirt upto my elbow. Dark green gloves were covered with mud too. Not to mention my combat boots.

"I need to talk to Aqualad. The rest of you, hit the showers and head home." Batman said.

"Head home? I am home." Superboy said. I nod and went to my room to take a shower. Gladly, we have our own rooms even though we don't live here.

"Just Aqualad." Batman said and I noticed Robin was there and he left. This must be serious. Robin walks the hallway and didn't bother to look at me.

I just shrugged it off and went to the room and take a shower.

After taking shower, I changed clothes. Sneakers, white pants, brown blouse and I let my light brown hair loose.

I went to the kitchen and saw Superboy watching a no signal channel. Megan is looking in a cookbook. "Hey megan, is Superboy okay?" She gives me a worried look.

"Would you like to help me make dinner?" She asks.

"No." He said. Harsh dude.

"I better go, my brother is already waiting for me. See you megan, Superboy." He didn't bother to look and I just went to the zeta tube.

Gotham City

I arrived at the streets of Gotham and it is a cold night. I walked the streets and my phone beeps. I took it out and it is Dick. He texted, Miss Jordan this is Alfred. Master Wayne would like to meet you at the Manor for some important matters. Hope you can come if you are free.

"That's weird. I didn't know Alfred has Dick's number." I say. I dialled Hal's number and he did not reply. Maybe he is okay with it.

I raced through the streets and finally I arrived at the Wayne Manor. I went inside the gate and knocked.

The door opened and Alfred is there and Bruce Wayne. Oh my golly, it is him. He is wearing a white t shirt with pants.

"Good evening, Mister Wayne, Alfred. What are the important matters?" I asked as I went inside the living room. The manor is so big. Can't believe that I already said it again.

"It's about Dick. Can you talk to him?" He asks.

"Sure." I say. Alfred guided me to the training room where I see Dick is training. He punches the wall, making a hole.

"Is he mad or something?" I asks.

"We do not know. You are the close friend he has." Alfred says before he leaves. Great.

I opened the door and Dick is startled. "Dani? What the heck are you doing here?" He says, sitting down to one of the chairs.

"Um, Alfred kinda like brought me here. Do you want to talk?" I asked.

He nods a bit and I sit next to him. I brought him a bottle of water. "Tell me about your problem, Dick. I can help. And I promise I won't tell my brother about this."

"Are sure your brother won't know?"

"Positive. And my uncle too. I better try to zip my mouth."

He laughs and it is good to hear him laugh. "It's just that someone didn't trust me and it's just made me mad."

I put a hand on his shoulder. "Maybe that someone has a good reason why he didn't want you to know it."

"Oh yeah? That someone is my friend. Why would he trust him than me?"

"Just like I said. Everyone has his own reason and you have to respect it."

Robin sighed. "Sorry, Dick. If I really did not help."

"Ahem. Excuse me. Master Bruce would like to speak to you both." We glanced at each other.

"Maybe you should go." I say, Dick did not answer and he just took my hand and we both went outside.

We went outside and Bruce Wayne is in his basketball attire. He throws Dick the ball.

"What's this?" He asks.

"Additional training. And practice too." He says. Dick laughs and together they start playing the game. Just like father and son.

"So Alfred. Can I go? Hal might probably look for me." I say.

"Of course. Thank you, Miss Danielle." I give him thumbs up and went home.

I arrived at the apartment and the room is dark. Creepy. "Uncle?" A hand touches my shoulder and I quickly take and twist it.

"Ow!" The lights turned on and it revealed my loser brother, Hal. His brown hair is a mess and his clothes were covered with sweat.

"What the-?" I say, letting go of his hand. "What the fudge was that? Hal? What are you doing here?"

Hal got up and gives me a hug. "Sis, I was worried. Your Uncle John was called at the air force for an emergency and he has asked me to take care of you. And the time is 8:04. Where have you been?"

We sit down on the couch and told him about what happened with the mission and Dick. He gives me a half smile. "Maybe Kaldur needs some space or something. You know he is not from around here."

I nod and give him the latte. "Maybe. I'm just worried about him. And also Dick. I'm guessing this has something to do with school. Just can't help to notice that he has same situation with us."

Hal took out a chinese siopao. He takes a big bite. "Yeah. Can't believe Mr. Wayne invited you there to talk to him. You didn't tell me that you have a close relationship with Dick."

I punched his arm, hard. "Ow!" He rubbed his arm. "Fine. You promise me no boyfriends until you graduate sis. Better keep that promise."

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, Hal. Sometimes you're just like a mom."

"I am your mom." He says evily and continues to drink.

"Ew!" Hal laughed and I push his cup, making his latte drink spilled on his t shirt. "Come on! I had to change twice this day."

"Haha." I sit down and take a bit from the Chinese siopao. "This stuff is amazing!"

Hal nods, "I brought it from the Chinese restaurant. Pretty awesome right?" I nod. "I heard that Artemis is gonna be joining your school. With you and Dick."

"Really? Where did you hear that news? That's awesome." I say, clapping my hands in excitement.

He pointed the chopsticks at me. "But Bruce says that you're not gonna bring your topic to school and to the team. Make sure that whenever you're in school, the topic is school. If in the team, then the mission."

"Yeah, of course. Duh!" I say.

Hal stood up and take the plates to the kitchen counters. A beep interrupted. "What is it? Is it Batman?"

He sighed. "Yes. He has a mission for the team. Better get to it."

I nod and I went downstairs. I run to the streets and to the nearest zeta tube. Since the place is empty. I quickly went inside and probably changed clothes in the Cave.

Mount Justice

I put on my domino mask, dark green gloves and my sling bag on my waist. I went to the mission area where Batman is.

Everyone is there and Kaldur is there too. "I am ready. 100 %" He says.

"Awesome." I mutter and went closer to them as Batman discusses the mission.
