Chapter 22: Ferris Aircraft

To clarify some things: Yes, roy is like 5 years older than Dani. Roy sometimes acted like younger than his age just to talk to Dani.

One last poll, people: Are you really sure that Rob is for Dani?

Coast City

September 14, 2010, 20:10 EDT

"Hurry!" Hal yelled at me and Uncle while making our way to the gates of Ferris Aircraft. The place is deserted and it seems that there is no accident occurring. Weird.

"Isn't this weird because the place is deserted?" I asked, making our way inside. We passed computer security and made it to the bridge where Aunt Carol is busy yelling to one of her employees.

"Carol." Hal said, approaching to her. "What's going on? Why did you call me?"

Aunt Carol is wearing her purple blouse and dark blue skirt. Her black hair is medium length and she is wearing pearl earrings. She is really pretty.

She sighed and seemed to be relieved. "Glad you're here." Her face changes as she saw me and Uncle John.

She drags Hal away from us and I can definitely hear her yelling at Hal. "You brought Dani and John? What were you thinking?"

"John can help. He's a lantern too." Of course, Aunt Carol knows about their identities and my powers. "Meanwhile Dani can handle herself."

"She's freaking 13, Hal!" Her voice is getting louder, making the employees looking at them.

"Um, their planning." I say with a smile. "Yelling makes the plan spicy."

The employees were raising their eyebrows in confusion. "What my neice is trying to say is that, they are planning completely, inside and out." Uncle saves me.

The employees just nod and went back to their jobs. "Spicy?" Uncle asks with a laugh.

"Just trying to keep them occupied." Uncle places his hands on my shoulder.

In time, Hal and Aunt Carol approached, probably finished yelling at each other. "There has been an explosion at the laboratory or where the missiles are placed." Hal explained.

Suddenly, the red light beeps. "Warning, unrecognized user hacking through systems. Intruder alert." The computer said.

"What the heck is going on?" I asked. Explosions rocked the place. Smoke spreads the room.

"Everyone get out in here!" Aunt Carol says and presses the emergency button. Red lights were flicking in the room. Slowly, we called everyone to get them out in here.

"Warning, missiles overriding. Exploding in 5 minutes." The computer says.

"We should really get out in here.' I suggested. Hal and Uncle changed into their Green Lantern uniforms. Thankfully no one is here to see this.

Everything is shaking. Hal makes a big shield around us. "We can't leave the employees here."

"You can't be serious, Auntie. Everything is falling apart and worse, within minutes this place is gonna explode!" I yell, and basically I'm freaking out.

Hal stoods up, a decision has been made up in his mind. "John, take Carol and Dani out of here. I'll get the employees out in here."

Auntie grabs Hal's arm. "Be careful and whatever you do, don't inhale the white gas that is spreading us right now. It's poisonous." She's right. White gas fills the room and some employees suffocate.

Uncle nods and he makes another big shield around us. Hal starts to walk with a shield around him. We floated and make our way to the upper floor of the company.

Auntie looks worried and I put my hands on her shoulder. "It's gonna be find, Auntie. Hal will take care of himself."

She manages to show me a weak smile. "Were here." Uncle says and lands us inside to the warehouse, full of people who worked at Ferris Aircraft.

Uncle drops us and he starts to head out of the warehouse. I followed him, "Uncle wait! I'm going too!" I yelped.

Uncle stops, his green eyes were looking at me straight. "Dani, stay here. It's very unsafe. The gas will kill you." He puts his hands on my shoulder.

"I can help. I can teleport and get Hal and everyone out." I offered.

"No stay." He says and left. He went back to the office and the explosions continue to erupt. Some of the tall buildings are destroyed.

"Dani, we have to go inside." Aunt Carol says and puts her hands on my shoulder. "Your brother will be fine and so as your Uncle."

"But…" I went back to the warehouse and stayed. "I have to save Hal." I say to myself and I turned myself invisible. I teleport back to the bridge and noticed that everything is glowing red.

The place is a big mess. Everything is shaking. "Where the heck is Hal and Uncle?" I started to cough. The smoke starts to get into my lungs and I could feel the pain coming in.

I forgot about the poisonous smoke. I kneel on the ground and cough hard. My vision starts to get blurry. "Help!" I yelped.

Everything around me spins and I was dropped to the ground. I couldn't see anything. "Dani!" Someone yelled and I am dragged away to darkness

Coast City Hospital

September 19, 2010, 12:00 EDT

My vision is light and I mean very light. I open my eyes clearly and I was in a white room. I looked around and saw flowers and food on the table.

I start to move and I try to sit properly. I find Hal, lying on the side of the bed and Uncle is on the sofa, crossing his arms but sleeping. And a young boy, his face is lowered. Who is that guy?

"Hal." I say softly and shake my hands.

Hal wakes up and smiles. "Sis, you're awake." He yawns. "John, wake up."

Uncle wakes up and shakes the boy. It is Dick, wearing his Gotham Academy Uniform. "Dani, you're awake!" He smiles.

"Yeahhh. I am. How long was I out?" I asked.

"5 days." Hal said as he handed me an orange juice. "The Doctor says that they have to put you in a coma because the gas is still in your body. They kept on putting you a mask of oxygen to get the gas out of your body. It took 3 days." He says.

I could feel the worries in his voice. "Sorry Hal. I really am."

Hal just smiles as if he understood me. He kisses my forehead. "I'll be back. I'll get you big food."

He and Uncle left, leaving me with Dick.

The conversation between Dick and Dani will be on the next chappie and someone will visit her!
