Rose78: Totally support your opinion. I am planning for a sequel but it is still not in my list yet. So about Dani's relationships with Roy and Dick, it will still develop in the story. But I loved your review anyway!

Heroherondaletotherescue: Thank you for your review! Honestly, I still don't know who is Dani gonna end up with so better keep on reading more chappies!

Coast City Hospital

"Dick you shouldn't be here. Its school hours and the Principal will kill you." I say, eating another bite of orange. The room is quite empty. Blame Hal for this.

Dick smirks and crosses his arms. He is still on the sofa and still wearing his uniform. "I know that. You do realize that our lunch break is 12-1? We got like one hour to go home if we want."

I stare at him. "I totally forgot that. Darn. Anyways, don't you have any homework to do?"

He chuckles and it gets cuter. I hate you Dick. "Dani, why do you want me to go? I just got here."

I cross my arms. "Uh-huh. How did you know that I am here?"

"From Hal." He went to the chair that is near in my bed. "For you." He puts dark chocolates on the table. "For energy."

"That is so not Hal. And you." I glare at the chocolates. "Why would you give me those?"

"It's not from me." He says bitterly. I take a sip of water from my water bottle. "It's from Roy."

I spilled the water from my mouth. "What?" I yelled and realized that I hit on Dick. His face is wet and his uniform. "Oops."

"Sorry, Dick." I try to get out of bed but he stops me.

He wipes the water on his face. "Nah, it's okay. I've seen that one coming anyway. So yeah, he'd send it to you. He heard about the accident on TV and he was worried."

I stop for a while. Roy? Worried about me? I've only met him like twice and now he's worried? I don't know him yet.

"You don't trust him, do you?" Dick says, continuously wiping his face and uniform.

"What?"

"Come on, Dani. I've known you like 2 months. But I knew you." I raise an eyebrow. "You get the point. Roy may look like he's not trusted but—"

"I can't accept that. What if there's poison in it? I trust you more Dick than him." I say.

He laughs again. "I know that. Officially bestfriends. Right?"

I sighed. "Fine. Just take those chocolates before Hal sees them. Make sure that there is no trace."

A knock interrupts and I quickly shoots the chocolates before Hal could open the door. "Hey! You guys okay? Heard there was a blast. Everything okay?"

"What the heck are you talking about? Me and Dick are talking, bro. No blast. Probably outside, right Dick?"

Dick rubs the back of his neck. "Sure, yeah! I should probably get something to eat and better head back to school. Dani, I'll tell the teachers why you're absent."

He starts to walk out of the door. "Dick! Thanks!" I give him thumbs up. "I'll be back soon!"

He smiles before he left.

Gotham City

September 22, 2010 5:20 EDT

"I'm awake!" I say as I head down the stairs. "Can't believe that I was absent for 5 days. Uncle, did you make me an excuse letter like 10 of them?"

Uncle voice's echoes in the room. "I sure did. Better eat some breakfast and hurry up for school."

I glanced at the clock as I prepare my stuff. "It's like 5:20 in the morning. I'm not gonna be late."

"Uh-huh. Better eat some nutritious foods for a healthy immune system." He sets down the pancakes, bacon and eggs with some orange juice.

I dig in, bite another bite. "Woah, take it easy, Dani. You might swallow the plate." He takes a bite of pancakes in his mouth.

"Haha, Uncle." I stood up and put my plate on the counter. I brush my teeth and the time is 5:30. I better hurry up so that I can still deliver these excuse letters to my teachers.

"Come on, Uncle! Let's go!" I urged him and thankfully he is in uniform. We hurried up and went to the car.

Uncle's driving is pretty good and I gotta admit it is better than Hal's. He certainly knows where dhe is going and so concentrated. Unlike Hal, he acts like a jerk.

I sighed and finally we arrived at the school. Gotham Academy is still empty but I could see some students inside.

I walked out from the car and straight to find the teacher's faculty room. I have to deliver these letters fast so that I still have time to go to class.

"Hey, Dani!" Someone said behind my back. I jumped and dropped the letters.

I kneel down to get the letters and saw Dick, in his uniform and with a big smile on his face. "Nice for you to scare me."

"Sorry I scared you." He picks the two, near his foot and he hands me them.

I took them and put them respectively to each of my subject teacher's table. Hope they can read this and consider my excuse.

"What are you doing here, Dick? Shouldn't you be in class?" I asked, still placing the other letters.

He leans on the wall, still smiling. "That's creeping me out, Dick. If you kept on doing that then I'll shove my foot on your face."

"Okay! There's a new student. A girl." He puts his hands in the air. "Happy?"

"Nope. Is that it?" He nods and left. Such a good friend. I left the faculty and head to my first class.

I walked outside area of the school and saw a familiar blonde. My eyes shift on Bette Kane then on the blonde girl. Wait she is so familiar. I think I have met her before.

"Artemis, I'm Bette, your school liaison." The familiar blonde smiles. Still my mind can't decide what's her name. "Welcome to Gotham Academy."

"Thanks. I'm Artemis but you knew that." She says. She's hilarious.

Dick approaches her and took out his phone. What the heck is he doing there?

He says something I don't understand and takes a picture. She closes her eyes and Dick disappeared. Ha!

They continue to walk and a smile forms in my mouth. It's Artemis. And she's in Gotham Academy.

Thankfully after my first two classes, the teachers were very nice. They let me catch up and even give me some one on one lessons about the topic.

I took out my books for my afternoon classes, "Hey, Dani." I turned around and saw Barbara. Her blue eyes stern.

"Hey Barb. What's up?" I continue piling my stuff in my locker.

"The new girl. Have you met her?"

"Nope. But I'm looking forward to it." I say and tied my light brown hair in a ponytail. "You don't like her?"

She crosses her arms and leans on the lockers. "It's not that."

I nod. "Barbara, you're also my bestfriend and I know you. Whenever Dick takes pictures with someone."

She sighs. "I hate it when you know me. Fine maybe I am a little bit jealous."

We laughed and I smiled at her. "I have to go to class. I have to explain myself to the teachers."

She nod and I went to my next class: Spanish. I ran through the halls and bumped someone and that someone has very strong shoulders.

"Ow!" I yelped. "Hey! Watch it!"

The girl turned around and it is Artemis. Dang! I rushed off before she could say sorry so that she couldn't recognize me.

Mount Justice

I arrived at the Cave with costume, ready. The living room is empty and so as the kitchen. Where the heck are they?

Nah, maybe I should eat something because I am so hungry. I grab some turkey sandwich and some lemonade.

I walked around and saw Kaldur talking to Red Tornado. "Hey!" I approached and they seemed alarmed.

"Danielle. I thought that your arrival will be late." Kaldur says.

I took another bite, "I got nothing else to do so I came early." Judging from their serious faces, they must be talking about the mole thingy.

"Are you guys talking about the mole?" They exchanged glances. "I was there, remember?"

Kaldur nods. "Me and Danielle were there when Sportsmaster told us about it. Perhaps I should tell the Batman?"

"Generally the Batman expects the team to handle its own problems but the decision is yours. I will return after monitor duty at the Watchtower."

I looked at him as he walks to the zeta tube. "I thought you were excepted from monitor duty on the watchtower when you become our den mother." I say.

"I agreed to cover for Green Arrow. He has an interpersonal event with Black Canary which he calls A Hot Date." Then he was gone. Kaldur and I exchanged glances.

And that's where I hit my head hard.
