Chapter 24: Homefront Part 2

SO this is the continuation of Homefront and I hope you guys like it!

Mount Justice

September 22, 2010 20:30 EDT

"Danielle! Wake up!" My eyes shot straight up. I am lying on the ground and in the beach area of the cave. I walked around and I bumped in a force shield that sent electric shocks in my body.

"Ahh!" I yelled, the electricity within my body.

"Dani?! You okay?" It's Kid. I look around and saw him glued on the floor and next to him is Superboy. On the other side, Kaldur is with Megan and they are inside a flaming cage.

"Kid? Where are we? Why am I here? Why are you guys there?" I asked quickly. My cage is not that big but only medium size. If I stand, I would definitely die.

"You can't remember?" He asked. I shake my head. "Well we got attacked in the cave by Red's sibs! And now where here!"

"Oh. Then what's the plan?"

"We don't know."

Two red figures appeared in front of me and it is a boy and a girl. Great. Must be twins, how lovely. I try to shoot them with white laser from my eyes and again I got electrified. When I get out of here, I'm destroy those things until they are turn to dust.

"Using your powers can only double the shocks in your body." The female said.

"Shut up." I say. "How about a game? The game is simple. Get me out of here and everybody wins."

"No." The man says.

Something explodes from another room. They went after it and left me.

"Attention Robin. Attention Artemis. You have exactly 10 minutes to surrender, or the lives of your teammates will be extinguished." The man says over the megaphone.

The woman waved her hand and my cage is gone. I lunged but she caught me. I try to teleport but I she's holding me by my neck.

I screamed loud as the grip on her neck tightens. "No! Let her go!" Kaldur says.

She floated and dragged me. She looked at Kaldur and her eyes glowed. The flames grew stronger. Below, the waters were rising fast. Superboy and Kid kept on struggling.

"9 minutes and 45 seconds." The man says.

The woman drops me and I coughed. The man landed beside the woman and they looked at each other. Are they communicating?

They put me an inhabitor collar and it sent some shocks in my body. The man went back to the water.

After a couple of minutes, Robin an Artemis emerged from the water. They breathed heavily. "Look out!" Kid warned and balls of fire were after them.

The lady kept on shooting us and they emerged beside Kid. Superboy was yelling.

I look at Kaldur. "Ka-ldur? Y-ou o-kay?"

He nod but sweat is formed in his forehead. I could feel my energy losing. "Help Megan!" Connor says.

"Aqualad! Is she-?" Artemis asked.

"She is unconscious. I fear she-we cannot survive much longer."

The woman kept on shooting them and they were gone to the waters. The woman came next to me and she took out a syringe. She pushes it hard on my skin.

I screamed hard. "Danielle!" Robin yelled. Unconsiousness is drifting on me and I am slowly drifted into it.

SO I'm skipping the parts of homefront because of the syringe that they injected on Dani. She will wake up where Red has arrived and I'm so sorry to do that but I could do some flashbacks.
