Chapter 28: Overprotectiveness

Hey,Hey,Hey! I recently read the reviews and I really appreciate it! Thank you guys so much for the lovely comments. I know that I am not that good in writing Robin's POV but I was just trying to see if I can really do it. (In the end, I didn't do that good)

Also, there's this damsel in distress thingy with Dani. So yeah, It will all be explained and I really appreciate your honest comments. :))

Mount Justice

October 5, 2010 7:00 EDT

I open my eyes and white light is all I can see. I move and sit straight. I glanced at my side and find a weird device and it has a plastic tube attached to my arms.

As I try to remove it, "Don't." Hal says, crossing his arms. He is still in his same hairstyle and his clothes are most likely the same. Did he just stay here with me and did not bother to change?

"What—"

He puts his hand in air to stop me and starts to walk around the room. Uncle John is there, sighing hard.

"First let me say this, what the heck is wrong with you, Danielle Annaleese Khristelle Fay Jordan?!" Hal punched the wall, making a hole in the wall. Hal never calls me by my full name only when I did so super wrong.

As I was about to say something, he puts his hands in the air to stop me. "Don't try to stop me this time. First we had a deal." He turns to Uncle John who was currently reading a newspaper. "What was the deal again John?"

Uncle John didn't show his face but he just replied, "You must use your powers carefully and not overuse it. And try not to be weak."

"Hey, the second one is not part of the deal. I have never heard you say about being weak." I protested.

Hal snapped his fingers, causing me to jump a little. "Dani, you could have gotten yourself killed! You were being reckless again. And this is not the second time you did this but for the past missions, you are like a damsel in distress!

I sighed, "Hal, I am not a damsel in distress. It's just that I've been distracted."

"I don't care Dani." Hal says calmly, "NO ONE IS ASKING! What would have happen huh? If you got killed on a mission? Of course John and I would freak out and we don't know what we'll do."

He takes a seat, finally. And Uncle John stood up, oh great it's his turn again.

He went to me and gives me a glass of water then orange. "Dani, what Hal is trying to say is that do not over use your powers or else it will go out of hand. This is the fifth time you ever done this."

I lowered my head, "I know Uncle John. I can't just let them die."

"Leave them be." Hal says, standing up and went to Uncle's right side. "You have to make a decision sometimes and not all things are worth fighting for."

"Dani, please do not do that again. Don't scare me and John." Hal pleaded as he went to the side of the bed and gives me his sympatric look.

I nod and smile at him. "I won't. I promise. And I'll find a way to help them. I swear."

Hal gives me a tight hug. "That's our girl." I smile back.

He let go and slaps my arms. "Ow!"

"Also don't forget: Do not be a lady like girl in fighting. Be tough. I don't want Robin to be your official lifesaver during missions. Got it?"

I rubbed my arms. "Yeah Whatever."

"Let's go Hal. There is someone who wants to see her." Uncle John says and Hal gives me another squeeze. Uncle patted my head and smile and they went to the door.
