COAST CITY

October 31, 2010 19:00 EDT

I sit in a cross legged position while I play the guitar. Halloween is here, literally here. The people of Coast City is busy, preparing for Halloween. I looked at the window and saw kids playing while others are displaying their pumpkins. Halloween is so cool. Too bad, Hal doesn't let me go because he's scared of grabbing another kid other than me.

A knock interrupted my thoughts and I opened it. It's Hal and Uncle John with a lot of bags in their hand, possibly from the groceries or fan mails.

"What's in the bag?" I asked, trying to sneak a peek.

Hal takes the bag and put some things on the kitchen. "For Halloween."

That stopped me. I telekinetically grabbed the bag and take a look inside. Inside, there is a big pumpkin and some stuff for turkey. It is for Halloween.

"Danielle, it's rude to take other people's stuff. Give it back." I nod to Uncle John and give it back to Hal.

"Why are we celebrating? We don't celebrate Halloween."

"Because you are going to that stupid party at Happy Harbor and Carol is gonna be here." Uncle gives him a look. "And some of John's friends."

"Technically it's a boy's night out. Like a sleepover."

Hal rolls his eyes. "It's not a sleepover! Besides you're still 13 and you don't know everything yet."

I went back to the couch and played some notes on my guitar. "Shouldn't you be getting ready?" Hal asks.

"I won't go."

"Why wouldn't you go?" Hal turns to Uncle. "She can't stay here."

"Because Robin invited me on a meeting at the cave and said it's super top secret."

Hal sits beside me and Uncle is looking at me seriously. "Did he say anything about what the meeting is about? Is Batman gonna be there?" Hal asks.

"I don't know! He only said about the meeting that's it. And maybe Batman will be there. Don't know." I stood up and went outside. "Bye! I'll just text you if it's done! Love ya both!"

I went to the street and find the zeta tube.

MOUNT JUSTICE

I arrive at the cave and I heard a howl. That's weird.

"Really you're not gonna join at all?" I heard Wally said as I make my way to him. He seems to be talking to Wolf who is growling. And he's wearing a wearwolf costume with a varsity jacket. Probably teen wolf.

"Hey Wally." I say.

"Hey, Dan! You look the same."

"Is that an insult or a compliment?" I roll my eyes. We went over to Megan who is busy preparing Conner.

"Megan stop torturing him." Wally says and whispers, "Awkward for him anyway, being third wheel in our date."

I roll my eyes. "Wally I invited the entire team to the dance. Zatanna too."

"Good keeps us the down low." He says flirtatiously.

"I can't take enough of this!" I held up my hands in the air, giving up. "Megan I'm sorry for not going to the dance. Something came up."

"It's okay Dani. Too bad you can't go." She says.

Then there is that awkward silence. Man, I hate this silence. Wally speaks up to break the silence. "So are you going there as my favorite martian?"

"Not exactly." Megan says as she steps back. Her dress turned white like a gown and she growls. She's a zombie bride.

"Woah, babe eat my brains anytime." Wally says.

"Great minds think alike." Captain Marvel shows up and I look at him in disbelief. He has only What the?

"Captain you look terrific!" Megan says that lights Captain Marvel's face. "Are you going to a Halloween celebration too?"

His smile stops. "Well sure I'm going to—with. I mean, you did invite the whole team right?"

"Yeah. We'll all be at the dance. So don't worry about us." Megan says. "Go, have a good time at your party."

She didn't know. Poor Captain Marvel.

RECOGNIZED ARTEMIS B-07

ZATANNA ZATARA A03

Artemis and Zatanna shows up with their costume. Apparantly, Zatanna is dressed up like a witch and Artemis is a vampire.

"Ohh, Hey Zatanna. You look great." Artemis greeted as they make their way. I glance at my watch, What time will the meeting start again?

"Aw thanks you too." Zatanna replied back with a smile. She notices Captain Marvel, "Oh look, zombie captain marvel. That's hilarious. Is the Justice League having a party cause my dad didn't mention it."

"No, no no! See-" He scratches his head. "Fine I'm going tricker treating." With that he flew away and went to the zeta tube.

RECOGNIZED CAPTAIN MARVEL 15

He turns to us and crosses his arms, "And I'm not sharing my candy." Then the light of the zeta tube takes him away.

"Is it just me or does Captain sometimes sound like a child?" I asks.

Zatanna shrugs and Artemis shakes her head. "Where is your costume Dani?" Artemis asks.

"I'm not goi—" Megan chuckled and we turned around. Megan wraps some tissue around his biceps.

Zatanna whispers, "So how long Megan and Conner are a couple?"

Artemis laughs, "Couple?" She stops as she sees them laughing at each other like a couple.

"Well I better go." I say before I wanna hear Artemis flip out.

"Computer secure the room." Batman says as I sit comfortably on the chair. Pretty much this is like a boys club thing since I am the only girl but Batman is so serious that I forgot to laugh.

He faces us or I can't really tell. "I'll cut to it. Do we believe that there is a mole within the team?"

Kaldur steps forward. "I am convinced there is none. When Sportsmaster claimed that he has an inside source he merely sought it in descent."

"His intel could easy come by compare to those other viliians working for the "Injustice League" and think about it. If anyone on the team was working with those creeps-" Robin says as he puts his legs on the table.

Kaldur continued, "He or she would have betrayed us during our fight against them."

Red speaks up, "I'm not convinced." Of course he is. He turns to Robin. "Sure you and Kid Flash are out of the suspicion. But I know that Artemis isn't shooting straight. For starters, she's not Green Arrow's niece."

I gasp and lower my head. How the fudge did he know that?

"Of course she knows it." Red says to me.

"What?" Kaldur asks in disbelief.

"Well yeah. In fact she's—" Batman stops Robin.

"Enough. Artemis relations may indeed make her suspect. But she is still entitled Secret Identity." Batman walks forward. "I'm more concerned about Superboy. We still know very little about what Cadmus did to him. Connor could be a mole."

"But everyone is a suspect here. We can't easily point out to somebody." I say.

"Polaris is indeed right. We need to keep our eyes open." Red Tornado says.

"What about Miss Martian?" Red asks. "She is Manhunter's niece. But he told Black Canary that he has hundreds of niece and nephews."

I stood up, "Come on! What's next huh? Siblings? I had a theory that you're already on that. Just because you have a much experience than them doesn't mean that you could just easily point it on to someone else."

I went for the door and a blast of white energy went through it. I ignored Robin's call and went for the zeta tube.

I freakin' hate Halloween
